  1. The internet is going to explode. And ESPN will go back to talking about sports.
  2. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000381516/article/nfl-roster-cuts-tracker-down-to-53
  3. What happens when EJ goes down in the first quarter against Chicago? With a QB who has 4 days of practice coming off the bench, we'll have about ten plays in the offensive playbook.
  4. His passes are all complete but they're all for negative yardage. Kinda like Trent.
  5. Oh, but the TD pass against Seattle wasn't on a punt play, it was a field goal play! Fun fact: the TD pass against Seattle was caught by Ryan Denney who is Mormon. So the play went Moorman to Morman.
  6. Think how much better Thursday's game would have been if Moorman was playing instead of Palmer.
  7. The Bills just cut the guy who statistically is the best passer in team history - Brian Moorman. Career passing: 3 for 7 with two TDs (who can forget the TD pass to a DL off the fake FG against Seattle in week 1 of 2008?) and no picks. QB rating: 117.9. (Actually, statistically he's behind Preston Riedlehuber whose QB rating was a perfect 158.3 but I'm limiting this to guys with at least 2 career pass attempts). Career rushing: 13 attempts for 55 yards for an average of 4.2 ypc. Think how good he'd have been if he had the weapons EJ has.
  8. I'll bet you couldn't pick her out in a lineup if it was shoulders and above only
  9. He's a good QB in preseason games against guys who might not make their team's 53 man roster. True, he plays with a lot of confidence. But he's not an NFL-caliber starting QB in any city outside of New York State. Reminds me of SOOOOO many mediocre QBs we've had - Losman, Edwards, Kelly Holcomb, Alex, Collins. Didn't we love them all for at least 5 minutes?
  10. And a quarterback and an offensive coordinator, while we're at it
  11. I still don't get how the Native Americans took Kirk Cousins. What a waste of talent
  12. Through a quick Google search, I couldn't find two NFL teams that haven't made the playoffs in 14 years.
  13. I started a thread sometime last year asking why we carry a long snapper, what makes these guys so unique that one of these other world class athletes can't get good at it. In the old days, it was either a center or a TE or a LB who did it. Nowadays, since they can't line up over center you could even have a Steve Tasker type of guy do it because the main part of the job after snapping for a punt is running down field and head hunting. There's a reason we don't have a holding specialist with his own roster spot. Used to be the backup QB did the holding but now it's almost universally the punter, probably because he has more practice time available to work with the kicker. If we were to tie down an extra roster spot for a special teams guy, it would make more sense to have a kickoff specialist who can boom touchbacks all the time. But my preference would be to go the other way: turn your kicker into a punter so you only carry one specialist on the 53 man roster, and free up the P and LS spots for other guys who can fill in but can also play another useful position in a jam.
  14. Correct. In baseball he would have been credited with a save.
  15. Pardon my ignorance, but aren't "Trentative"and "Edwards" the same person?
  16. Take the knee even at the 25, what were you thinking????
  17. I guess from now on we should call them the Buffalo Williams.
  18. I like Mayock (especially in comparison to Kiper) but let's remember that he had Geno Smith #1 ahead of EJ
  19. Something bothering you that you're not mentioning?
  20. He's a rookie and that's his number. That's what this thread is about.
