  1. JP is available, if you're looking for washed up qb free agents. Just sayin'
  2. With Kelsay's retirement, will Mario take the #90 jersey?
  3. You're right, shouldn't have insulted him by comparing him to Ryan or TJack
  4. Just a stroll down memory lane: ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Chan Gailey needed to see Ryan Fitzpatrick put some life into Buffalo's anemic offense just once before deciding Trent Edwards was expendable. "After the way that Fitz played yesterday, I feel very confident about the direction we're going," Buffalo's first-year coach said Monday, a day after the Bills (0-3) were beaten 38-30 by the New England Patriots. "Trent did the best he could, and he's a great young man and I wish him the best." The Bills waived Edwards in a surprising move Monday, a few weeks after Gailey said he saw "light at the end of the tunnel" with Edwards as his starter. The Bills had been shopping Edwards before his release, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. To take Edwards' roster spot, the Bills plan to re-sign quarterback Levi Brown, whom they released this summer, a league source told Schefter. Brown was drafted by the Bills in the seventh round of the 2010 draft out of Troy University.
  5. Wow, I forgot about Brohm. For that matter, we could bring back Brohm, Gibran Hamdan and Levi Brown for an open competition. 'Bout as good as Ryan vs. TJack What a nightmare.
  6. Let's get a grip. We have excellent RBs, some promising talent on OL and we should have a great DL (although based on what we saw last year, who knows?) We started the offseason with a weak LB corps, now we have NO LBs which is probably an improvement. Same can be said for WR. Leodis McKelvin is our CB2. Ryan Fitzpatrick is our QB1. By my count we're at least 6 starters away from being competitive. If you're lucky you'll get 2 starters in the draft but maybe fewer. Anyone who thinks we're a couple of trick plays away from being a contender is being a tad optimistic.
  7. LEVI Brown, on the other hand, would be a quality signing. Not.
  8. Just remember, this guy was second string qb because he managed to beat out the immortal Trent Edwards
  9. It's the slowest time of the sports year, need something to get the juices going.
  10. Wow, you got famous for that http://en.wikipedia....zor#In_football
  11. OJ and James Harris in 1969. But in typical Bills fashion, after taking OJ in the first round, in the second round they took... a RB
  12. Right you are. More than 30 years ago, Keith Olbermann was tracking this when he was still a sportscaster. Mike Easler was the reigning champ in 1980. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1123776/index.htm
  13. I thought the goal of a football team was to win games, not to achieve some artificial notion of "diversity." If diversity was the real objective and not winning, they should also require player rosters to be more diverse (rather than just have the best possible talent).
  14. Sounds to me like another Rob Johnson. Got a big contract on the strength of one great game.
  15. This strikes me as about as effective as cutting Brian Moorman in the middle of the season. Now THAT really solved our problems!
  16. I don't know, the business about the James Hardy jersey in the T. O. one was pretty funny
  17. I hear JP is available, but we'd need to bring back Troy Vincent to break his leg again.
  18. I think without a doubt the Bills dynasty of the 1990s came into being with the three-way trade for Cornelius Bennett. http://www.nytimes.com/1987/12/18/sports/nfl-matchups-trade-for-bennett-pays-off-for-bills.html Once "Biscuit" came on board, the Bills were a force to be reckoned with, and as much fun as the Kelly/Thurman/Andre offense was to watch, nothing was more satisfying than the shutdown Bruce/Bennett defense. I had the same feeling when the Bills obtained Mario and Mark Anderson this past offseason and of course I like everyone else was disappointed. Let's hope that the new coaching alignment can bring back memories of Cornelius Bennett showing up on every tackle no matter where he had lined up on the field. Dominant D is the way to victory.
  19. High angle view that shows all 22 players at all times. It's what the coaches watched to analyze games - you can see all the coverages and pass routes.
