Yes, I know I'm not the 'norm'. Not really sure why I've been lucky the last few years. Maybe just a good employer. I'm still uncertain on what would loser healthcare costs in the states outside of single payer/universal. Hopefully Republican leaders in Congress can come up with something that Trump will support.

I was close when Ryan stumped for Trump, but one guy doesn't represent the team. It'd have to be something extreme, like adopting the Nazi flag for the team symbol or something. No amount of ****ty play on the field will turn me away, and probably neither would relocation, since I'm not in Buffalo anyways.

Frankly, I'd rather we get back to the offense of the last couple of years ago. A successful run game, with Tyrod creating a few big plays through the air. He's never going to be a guy who is going to throw for big yardage on a regular basis, and we'll lose if we try to force the issue, no matter the defense.

White supremacist demonstrations *generally* falls under hate speech, whereas taking a knee to protest racism within the criminal justice system isn't. So that comparison, imo, falls short pretty quickly. Frankly I'd compare it to players of various sports that have done various religious gestures either during, or near, the anthem.

Not at all. I'm lucky in that I'm pretty privileged, so democrat or republican, I won't really be impacted by most policy changes. I am always curious if complete control by either party will 'fix' America, though, even if my ideals or opinions are in disagreement. So I'm really curious, now that Republicans have just about complete control of the country at every level, if they can push the RNC platform they've been touting for so long. I want to see if a balanced budget, or a budget surplus, with tax cuts, and spending cuts, can 'make america great again'. I don't think it will, but I'm certainly willing to be proven wrong (as I have been before).

Republicans have been harping on having a balanced budget with no deficit for years. Will the new tax plan and spending cuts do that? Shouldn't they be aiming for a surplus, so we can pay down our debts?
