  1. I very much enjoy the excitement of this year's preseason. I'm just not putting much stock in what our FO says, really.
  2. I'm with others, I don't expect him to sign until right before the season starts. Wonder if he'll be in the starting lineup on week one or not.
  3. I'll praise the hell out of the front office if we turn this year's decisions into success on the field. I'd love to have that opportunity.
  4. So were we just waiting for Marrone when we hired the coaches of the last 13 years? Personally, I don't put much weight in anything an executive of a for profit business says publicly. Its just a sales speech to boost profits. We've been selling hope on a three year cycle for a while now. :/
  5. Hopefully EJ's struggles against the first team defense will be a learning experience and not a trend.
  6. Perfection, hahahaha
  7. Yes, I was one of them, myself. But apparently there were those on twitter who were NOT amused haha.
  8. Considering he got more first team reps, he was/is until that changes. Same thing goes inform Sanchez/Smith. Anyways, my post was a bit tongue in cheek, as the whole situation all around is a little ridiculous.
  9. Their starting QB stumbles and falls while doing football exercises, doesn't get injured. Fans laugh. Our starting QB stumbles and falls while not on the field, gets injured. Fans get upset at the media for laughing (seen on Twitter). I don't know what's going on anymore hahaha
  10. We only have $22m in cap space; we can't afford him!
  11. Those aren't "day to day".
  12. "Bumped his knee" is a retreat to the locker room situation? Marrone does know that QBs get tackled right? Oh well, more EJ time!
  13. Rich Gaenzler (@Rich1270TheFan) tweeted at 9:51 AM on Sat, Aug 03, 2013: Manuel proves he's the better athlete in the QB comp by keeping balance on wet rubber mat #newcampdrill Exactly my thoughts.
  14. Him throwingnhis helmet down, and needing a bit of help concerns me. Wonder if he heard or felt something pop...
  15. I'm too busy laughing at the ridiculousness of it! JW's quick blurb: http://bigstory.ap.org/article/kolb-hurts-knee-field-slip-camp Hmmm
  16. I couldn't help it... But I laughed. That's Kolb for ya. Obviously, I hope he's healthy, we need depth at the position, since its a total question mark... But I'm not going to lie about being excited for EJ's increase in reps possibly.
  17. I'm confused. I thought the title of #1 WR was defined by being the most targeted on a team. Stevie, IMO, is our main WR target in recent years. If that's not the description, what is? Also, where did the elite thing come from? Your original post/title talks about being a #1 WR... No one here, afaik, is suggesting he's a top 5 WR... O.o
  18. Here's another set of stats, from another site: http://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/stats/drops/2012/
  19. Re: Drops https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2013/01/21/signature-stats-drop-rate-wide-receivers/ SJ isn't the best, no doubt, but many of the top #1's seem to share the same problem. Really, though, a #1 is just the WR that gets the most targets on your team. Sometimes its a big guy who goes deep. Sometimes its a small guy who works underneath. Sometimes its a guy who's somewhere in between.
  20. He could mentor Rogers!
  21. Thanks again! I want to see video of that EJ to Flash bomb!
  22. Burying? It's basically the only thing being talked about. Jesus.
