  1. Hopefully Gaskins was just a cramp, and he'll be good to go for Sunday.
  2. Rookie QB and HC, neither of which were *loved* by the media. 13 years of disappointment. It makes sense. I still have a feeling we'll end up in the usual 8-11 spot, like usual though.
  3. Insightful stats, thank you. Shows that Fitz was quick to get rid of the ball, and that the line ranked 11th in the league in time given before taking a sack. Not the best, but far from the worst. So the OL is decent AND Fitz got rid of the ball quickly. Edit: Good point by a commentator... play action plays might have a large effect on this.
  4. I believe it did. I remember specifically seeing a statistical break down of OLs and how they performed on longer developing pass plays, and the Bills had trouble. That being said, they were *fantastic* at run blocking.
  5. I'm going with a dark horse.... TJ Graham. (mostly, because I have not a clue, fresh QB means fresh choices for WR preference)
  6. Not a player, but the overall defense. I'm very curious as to how different it's going to be from recent years.
  7. I really like hearing about EJ's steady improvements. I hope they give him plenty of playing time in the pre-season, I don't think he'll have an issue with confidence if it doesn't go well.
  8. Damn, sucks for him. I liked him. Wish him best of luck.
  9. It's probably unreasonable to assume victory based on one facet of a team, period.
  10. I think it's reasonable to argue that a good running game is essential to being successful in the league, as the most successful teams are usually well rounded.
  11. I think it's reasonable to expect that he won't be the Fred Jackson of 2012 either, as long as he's healthy.
  12. 2011, Fred Jackson lead the league in YPC among RBs. 2012, he dropped off big time, probably due to injuries. One thing to note, though. CJ and Jackson both benefited from Chan's play calling, there was a lot of open space for them to run in, most of the time. We'll see how Hackett handles the offense this year. Yds from scrimmage per game in 2011, Jackson finished second in the league: http://www.footballdb.com/stats.html?mode=Y&yr=2011&lg=NFL&sort=totgame 2012, CJ finished 6th (5th among RBs): http://www.footballdb.com/stats.html?mode=Y&yr=2012&lg=NFL&sort=totgame We're in pretty good hands.
  13. Thanks for the great write-up, Astro.
  14. I hope they give him a full half, if Kolb is out.
  15. I hope that latter tweet is true, it's always nice to see players do that instead of what they often do.
  16. I want EJ. But I have a feeling Kolb will get the first reps when he comes back.
  17. Tuel makes roster... Tuel is best QB.... Well... I gotta one up everyone else. Tuel breaks all single season QB productivity records and wins Superbowl MVP.
  18. Another vote for the bunch formation here. You can "screen" the defensive backs, it gives WRs room to not get jammed at the line, and it can be effective for outside blocking.
  19. I'm OK with a rough start + rebound.
  20. Sounds like it's 1st team D playing mostly 2nd string offense with EJ at QB.
  21. He's been playing against the first team defense more, lately.
  22. EJ struggling against first team defense, Tuel doing good against backup defense... kind of like when Kolb was struggling and EJ was doing good early in camp, hmm.
  23. Parenthesis means the player is injured, I assume?
