  1. Hackett should recognize where his RBs strengths are. CJ doesn't make 3 yards in a pile, running into a stacked box. Fred can. CJ needs to have space, and a spread field. They just need to be utilized a bit differently.
  2. Not surprising. Have you seen our record the last 13 years?
  3. Ah, yes. **** talking the team that just beat us.
  4. I think it's simply a matter of how we call plays for both. If the box is stacked, Fred has a better chance at up the middle runs than CJ does. When the field is spread out, CJ is a significantly better runner. It all comes down to calling the right plays for what personnel is out there. No need to continue to stuff it up the gut against a stacked box with CJ. Call screens, play actions, audible him to line up in the slot, etc.
  5. First Starts: Colin Kaepernick*: 16/23 for 243 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 4 rushes for 10 yards (WIN) Russell Wilson: 18/34 for 153 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 8 rushes for 20 yards (LOSS) Cam Newton: 24/37 for 422 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, 8 rushes for 18 yards (LOSS) Robert Griffin III: 19/26 for 320 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 9 rushes for 42 yards (WIN) EJ Manuel: 18/27 for 150 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 3 rushes for 23 yards (LOSS) Let's also remember, EJ only had three quarters of preseason play, and split reps with both Kolb and Tuel with the first team unit AND is 2 weeks removed from surgery. The closest situation is probably Wilson, who had to win the starting job in Seattle. Griffin and Newton were both handed the job right out of the gate, and Kaepernick sat on the bench for a year and a half, gaining valuable NFL experience with two camps, and preseasons, along with a handful of snaps in real live NFL games. Personally, I'm ok with EJ's performance. Was it great? Nope. Did he lose us the game? Nope. Our piss poor play calling (specifically how we used CJ), and a couple untimely drops and fumbles, lost us that game (along with a soft defense on the last couple of NE drives). As would that 20 yard gainer over the middle that was called back. (actually I think there were a few good gains that were called back)
  6. Why is the Patriots team depleted when they are missing Gronk and Welker, yet the Bills team is full strength even thought hey were missing Gilmore and Byrd?
  7. The game I watched, we got a ton of pressures on Brady and the line played well until late in the game and we couldn't stop runs.
  8. Biggest thing I'll be wanting to see is taking care of fundamentals. Penalties, fumbles, dropping open passes, not over pursuing, etc. That'll be a good start. That being said, I think Carolina presents challenges for our team that we simply can't match, so I'm expecting an 0-2 start.
  9. Jay Skurski ‏@JaySkurski3h Marquise Goodwin leaves the locker room with his right hand in a cast. #Bills
  10. I don't want to run him out of town. The throw wasn't perfect. But it was easily catchable, especially for a "possession" type of #1 WR.
  11. I thought they both played pretty well, mostly. McKelvin gave up some plays to Glass Joe, though. Kiko is a rookie, MLB, I think he did fine.
  12. I was fine with Marrone (wtf at challenge, though). Not great or anything. Pettine also was ok. Defense was soft when we needed to not be, though. Hackett needs to pull his head out of his ass, though.
  13. I know, funny how our defense didn't step up on the final drive and we lost. Our whole team is to blame. Though, the offense was more disappointing than the defense, that I agree on.
  14. One of many choke artists on this team, today.
  15. Pettine couldn't stop the Pats in the second half.
  16. Pretty sure I saw the Pats gaining as many yards as they wanted late in the game. Primarily using a guy with one leg, and a no name running back.
  17. Terrible coaching today. Soft defense. Choke artist offense. And still close.
  18. We need a god damned miracle.
  19. And there's a loss. Great play calling, Hackett.
  20. This drive will determine if we win or not.
  21. Can we not stop them on 3rd down?
  22. Pretty bad when our backup RB has better hands than our #1 WR
