  1. We'll agree to disagree, I guess. We're 24th in the league in rushing first downs per game. Eventually we start zeroing in on the run and get burned by the pass, is the way I see it. The fact that we can't stop the run, and that we can't get off the field on defense, imo, says that we are indeed being hurt by the run. That's not to say that our pass defense is any good, because it's not that great at the moment with our lack of DB talent (combined with our scheme depending on it), just that I disagree with the notion that our run defense is not hurting us. I'll make that my final opinion on the matter.
  2. Also just received a notification that Spiller is expected to miss the game against the Ravens with a "thigh injury". That seems like an awfully quick update, so either it's BS, or it's fairly serious.
  3. They had something like 14 carries of 5 yards or more. How does that not qualify?
  4. But we have hall of fame talent on the DL, and a crazy good DC... supposedly. Again, I'm not saying every team could deal with it, but rather just the good ones. Which we do not qualify as. It's not rocket science. We need to shore up depth in many areas on this team, because injuries are a fact of NFL life.
  5. Really? They were ripping off 5-20 yard runs with relative regularity. Sure, we made a few key stops on obvious running downs, but overall they had their way with us on the ground.
  6. Aggressive does *look* better though. That's basically the point... it looks better, but in the end isn't actually performing better.
  7. How many teams? A handful of good teams, the pretenders would be significantly hurt. I'm not saying *every* other NFL team could deal with it... just that good ones could. Just like the Pats are 3-0 playing a bunch of garbage at WR/TE.
  8. Depending on definition of starter, and what formation you use as "base", the Bills have up to 11 starters injured, after the Jets game. http://espn.go.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/1623/bills-return-to-buffalo-battered-bruised
  9. No, but a great many teams lose major talent at some position or another. Good teams overcome that obstacle.
  10. We say that every year. If only we didn't have so many injuries. Other teams get injuries too. Guess what, they have talented depth and coaches to coach them. The difference between winning football clubs and losing football clubs. This injury excuse is getting old.
  11. Our defense *looks* better. But at the end of the day, we're losing games and not getting off the field, so it really doesn't matter what perception or stats say.
  12. Glad I only paid $30 for Sunday Ticket. I won't feel too bad once the last half the of the season starts and I mostly ignore football haha. For now, though, I guess the silver lining is getting to watch some new rookies play.
  13. Best gif. No, we don't. We're in with EJ for at least 2-3 years. It'd take a catastrophe for a rookie to be replaced after just one year (or even less than that).
  14. The fact that we only had 1 good CB, and 1 average CB, and the rest are absolute ****, is a problem to begin with. We need another good, and at least one (ideally, two) more average.
  15. We need help at: WR TE OG DT/NT LB CB SS We're going to suck next year, too many holes to fill, and I'm sure we'll create some more. I just hope the team is at least entertaining to watch.
  16. Seems like we're afraid to call some proper slants and ins/outs. Everything is weird fade/streak patterns that simply don't work for an inaccurate QB.
  17. The playcalling in this game was very similar to the Patriots game, and surprise, he struggled in both. The Carolina game, meanwhile, had less shotgun-runs and he did better... Unless I'm remembering wrongly.
  18. For better or worse, EJ is our guy for at least a couple years. Terrible game today, but I won't let it define him. Geno is clearly a more talented QB, but makes bone-headed mistakes. EJ has a better head on him, but isn't very accurate.
  19. 7 sacks, though, not all on Brown. Our whole OL could use improvement, either in talent or coaching.
  20. We also need to draft a guard, Jesus.
  21. I wonder if there are Jets players that bet against themselves...
  22. This has really been one of the worst games I've watched, Not just because I'm bitching about the Bills, but because of the Jets as well. Though, nothing will top some of the wonderful performances against the Browns.
  23. I was gonna say the refs are helping us, but there's the flag!
