  1. If he continues to make catches on "normal" routes, as well as long go routes, he could turn out to be the steal of the draft for us, offensively.
  2. I think 7-9 is most realistic. Pats will likely beat us, and we'll also have a stinker of a game against a team we should beat somewhere in there (happens). I also think we need to finish 9-7 to get to the playoffs.
  3. Another year of being a better team than our record. We're clearly not a 4-7 talent wise... Blargh.
  4. Every time I wear my Bills stuff, I get a lot of "sorry, man" or "oooh, that sucks". So much pity.
  5. We're 4-7. We lost a bunch of games we should have won. We deserve a low ranking.
  6. McKelvin and A. Williams definitely. I don't think Dareus was as bad as people say he was last year, even if he didn't live up to a #3 pick.
  7. Kiko has been a godsend. I love that he's aggressive, and seems to have amazing instinct.
  8. I agree that it would have been intercepted no matter... but usually, most games, a play like that would be call PI, so its all a bit weird. I've never really liked the idea of blindly throwing a ball in the direction of a receiver, and getting a PI call if it's in the same direction, and the defensive player isn't ready. But most of the time, it works... so along that history, that play should have been called a PI, even though I think it's BS. Maybe the NFL has directed the refs to watch out for that more?
  9. Who's overreacting? You think the coaches will sit in the room and say that play was acceptable? No, they'll look for what happened on that play, make adjustments and work on having it not happen in the future. You people are focusing on the fact that I didn't like that *one* play, even though I said right at the beginning "they had a pretty good game stopping the run". It seems like no one is allowed to have a middle ground opinion here. It's either "OMG THEY 100% SUCK", or "OMG THEY 100% ROCK". You can't say anything like "They 90% rocked, but had 10% of suck that needs to be cleaned up".
  10. It's unlikely to have mattered, but weird things happen in the NFL. I'd rather not see it happen, garbage time or not.
  11. The "official" Bills Backers bars are always more crowded, which is why I go to Grand Central... I don't need a huge crowd, personally.
  12. They had a pretty good game on Sunday stopping the run.... then of course they gave up a big one. They need to stop having these lapses on defense, in general. We gave up 65 yards on 22 carries (2.95 yards per carry)... then our bozo defense falls asleep for a play, and gives up a 70 yard run. If we could just stop with the inconsistent play, we'd be dominant on defense. Final line ends up being a 5.8 yards per carry.
  13. Definitely interference, but I think it would have been intercepted anyways, even if that guy turned his head towards the ball.
  14. So far, I've liked the games when we've played with a heavier package mixed in with hour usual shotgun formations. Having Summers in there, along with putting EJ under center for play actions. I feel like we've used that mix more in games we've won, while the games we've lost we've basically sat in shotgun all day with the "half assed option" play calls (dunno what to call it, other than half assed...). Wonder what our actual formation statistics are.
  15. In reality, I'd like to give the game ball to the defense, in general. But since there's only one ball, it goes to EJ.
  16. I liked that Manuel was a bit more aggressive than previous games, without taking too many dumb chances. A long bomb to a WR streaking past the safety is pretty low risk, but still has potential for a homerun. The perfect amount of aggressiveness imo. I just don't want to see him launching it into double/triple coverage down field, which he hasn't done so far (and thus his relatively low INT total). Yesterday's EJ is the EJ I was hoping to see this season and in the future.
  17. Just a note: The Bills have had the second strongest schedule so far. They also have the biggest strength of victory percentage.
  18. The key word(s) are "and the Bills". Fair enough to say EJ is 3-3/3-4. Point being is, these guys are both works in progress. I'd rather have Geno's record, though, at the moment. Even if I personally prefer EJ.
  19. Well, most important is wins and losses. Right now, Geno and the Jets are 5-5, while Manuel and the Bills are 4-7. Both are rookies, there's going to be ups and downs. I don't care if Manuel is the best QB in the history of the NFL if we are finishing with a losing record every year. Time to win 5 in a row.
  20. That'd certainly be something. But I'd really prefer playoffs.
  21. We're 4-7. I'm happy to get a freaking win, but yeah... we're still last place in the AFC East. Still unlikely to sniff the playoffs.
  22. Apologize for what? He doesn't want to be here, but is playing for his big payday this upcoming offseason. He's a good player, and I want him on the team. But c'mon. We all know what's up. (I'm just referencing his hold out, not his health. I have no insight to his health)
  23. I love how back and forth this place has been. So far, EJ still hasn't really impressed me... but he's a rookie. I assume he'll be our QB for another two seasons, at the very least. Like I said last week, I hope he grows and improves through the rest of this season. This season is probably over already (even though we're still mathematically in it).
  24. Good win today. Wish this team showed up more often. Defense really did it for us. EJ shook off some rust. Only downsides are... we seem to not be able to run the ball with much success lately, and our special teams is looking sketchy at times.
