  1. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/01/22/us/politics/womens-march-trump-crowd-estimates.html?_r=0 Wonder what the spin is going to be on this.
  2. Too much.* * - anything over 1 cent is 'too much'
  3. I offer my congratulations to the conservatives of PPP, I truly hope that your representatives lead America and its citizens towards prosperity.
  4. I really don't think Romo is worth the risk when we have access to Tyrod :|
  5. There are more people in those blue areas than in the red areas, I'd bet.
  6. Personally, I think Obama was an average president politically. I liked him a lot as a person, but that's not overly important to the role, as a liberal I kind of resented him backing off certain progressive stances he had before entering office. As far as Trump? I still don't understand how he won the Republican primary, let alone the Presidency. I understand some people were frustrated with 'politics as usual', but I think Trump's lack of political experience, limited success financially, questionable connections (and not just the usual lobbying/financing sort), and huge ego are going to make for an interesting 4 years. He's entering with already low approval ratings, and I just can't imagine them getting any better unless he has some crazy populist idea that would actually work in real life. As far as a second term, I don't see it happening. I don't think he'll actually get impeached, since Republicans are very party first, and they control almost all aspects of federal and state government at this point. It'd be a black mark on their party if they impeached their own candidate, possibly. That being said, I'm not sure Trump ever actually wanted to win, and I don't think he'll enjoy the job, and thus will not seek a second term. At the end of the day, as much as I politically disagree with Trump, I hope he's a successful President, and that America is prosperous and peaceful during his term(s). Hoping for a President to fail is hoping for America to fail.
  7. The poll is simple, but feel free to expand in your post. Only so much one can do with polls
  8. Pretty simple... we're on the eve of a new presidency. How do you think Obama performed overall? How do you think Trump will perform? Do you think Trump will get a second term? Do you think he'll stumble along the way before then? Put your 'bets' in now!
  9. I guess my question is... Team A: Scores 24 points, 1 turnover Team B: Scores 24 points, 1 turnover Does it make a difference if Team A scored 14 points on rushing, and fumbled the ball, whereas Team B scored 0 points on rushing, and threw one interception? Aren't points points? I'm not suggesting Tyrod is the best QB in the world, but if the team moves the ball with him as QB, I don't really care if it's him making throws, or the team running well (partially due to him) that gets us there. I'd love to have some HoF gun slinger back there, but chances are slim a draft pick this year is going to be that, so why not keep a successful offense in tact, develop a young QB or two, and focus on improving a disappointing defense? Am I insane for wanting to make the playoffs vs tanking every year until we luck out on getting an elite QB in the draft?
  10. Depends on what your goal is for the season. If your goal is to make the playoffs this year, then Tyrod has a better shot than a QB we'd draft, most likely. (Assuming that the notion it's a weak class/other teams need QBs ahead of us) If your goal is to tank this year for future draft picks, then by all means, save some money and ditch Tyrod.
  11. We can't retain Tyrod while also drafting a QB?
  12. How do we obtain one of them?
  13. Actually surprised at that answer.
  14. That's not at all what I said. My view has long been that we keep Tyrod (or if another vet option is out there, I'm open to the idea), and then draft a QB at a reasonable spot (likely not in the first round), let the new guy and Cardale compete for backup/development, and go from there. I think it's silly to ditch Tyrod and reach for whomever in the first round because 'that's the way'.
  15. How many great QBs are in this draft? How many great QBs are great regardless of development staff? How many great QBs are great because of development staff?
  16. It certainly helps, but there's also teams with great QBs who are not in contention. And there's teams with mediocre QBs that were in contention/have won superbowls in the past. QB is very important, but it isn't the only key. Also, if finding a great QB was so easy, we would have done it by now.
  17. I'll just throw my hat in for healthcare being a basic public service that everyone should have a minimum level of access to for 'free' (tax funded), like education, emergency services, etc. That being said, I don't expect it to happen in the US, and if it does, it'll have a boat load of issues. Our government is not set up in a way to promote efficiency with all the lobbying, sweetheart deals, pork, etc etc. If we remove for profit entities from our government, then I would have a lot more faith in efficient and well managed programs. So, realistically, I 'settle' on ****ty bandaids like the ACA, or maybe whatever Trump's system is. In the end, I don't think we'll ever see a healthcare system in the US that covers everyone, due to our love of 'free market' profit.
  18. And no, I couldn't care less about Pegula as a public speaker. I just want him to write checks and get out of the way.
  19. Glad I didn't watch, sounds like the questions are pure unadulterated ****.
  20. I hope he sticks around, but with a lower snap count so we don't wear him thin. Washington should be getting an increasing amount of snaps, assuming he's the DT replacement of choice.
  21. I'm down with Kromer. Just to annoy Bobby
  22. Eh, no biggie. He didn't really like it here, and he had an out with free money, seems perfectly logical *shrugs*
  23. Actually, long term success would be drafting a guy who develops into a franchise QB. BUT the draft is a crap shoot, and we currently have a serviceable QB on the roster. So the ideal move would be to keep the guy you have, and see what happens with the guy you draft. If the guy you draft doesn't show what you want, at least you have a known quantity in Tyrod. I don't think anyone here is claiming that TT is a franchise QB in the sense that he's someone that can take over a game and win without good players elsewhere on the team. There's only a couple QBs that qualify as that anyways.
