Aaron was great against Washington's soon to be cut, he can get better.
-
+2. If he keeps playing like this he will make the team. Coming off a strong performance today I would like to see him play a lot more with the 1's and 2's in next weeks game.
However scary it seems, he fits quite well.
-
I liked what I saw of him tonight too, Skoobydum. I really hope he is on the active roster, because I am afraid if we put him on waivers to get him on the p-squad, another team will claim him.
He'll be the first person taken off there as soon as that would be announced, other teams are waiting for that error.
-
I hope Bell makes the team too.
However, let's not get too carried away, remember Lionel Gates?
If you are an RB everyone knows you can run, but the coaching staff wants to see if you can also catch passes, and more importantly know how to pick-up a blitzer.
It was his complete disregard of contact and his desire to find the endzone & that cannot be coached, it's a instinct. The guy is not going to be easily stopped nor does he care who is trying to stop him. There was a ferocity that was witnessed by those really paying attention, I am really not joking.

We seem to be good at running the ball, punting, kicking field goals, and returning kicks. We struggle at passing, stopping the run, defending the pass, returning punts, defending punts, defending kickoffs, and showing promise.
Did you see Lankster returning that punt?
-
I remember that everyone on the defense touching him seemed to create more of a desperate desire to go further, he looked like he was running for his life.
Could we even think of cutting this guy?

Joique Bell was really impressive really quick and powerful!
He looked like a man possessed.

Bad gloves?

Too many to list. The real question is whether you saw any positive out there? Defense got rag dolled, Offense sputtered, Special Teams looked god-awful. Did anyone spot anything positive other than Levi Brown's quick release?
Spiller had some moves with the ball in his hands ??
-
no problem. in the end we are on the same side. it just would be arguing semantics. we see things differently and thats fine.
-
I'll start with our something not expected but painfully true, our special teams play was weak and uninspired. Guys hoping to make the squad based on special teams blocking and fielding need to fear the next 3 weeks. We missed point of attack assignments and seeing Lankster give up our mid field position regardless of score or intelligence was a painful reminder of fundamentals being missed. We can defend the O-line's performance based on not field our best to start the game but our special team has been a mild pride of recent years that seemed to have been missed / overlooked.
If we lose our field position based on poor choices, we lose precious yards that will not be easy to make up without more of a grind for our obvious weakness at QB. That my friends is a formula for disaster, prepare.

Trent started with 2 guys he normally would, let's keep this in mind before we call him the anti-crist.
-
We started this game with backups folks, backups versus Haynesworth & starters. We had 0 offensive chance and had almost 0 chance of mustering much more than a FG in the first half. The Skins played their starters the whole first half and it showed, so I would expect a different game come real time.
We also had several fantasy penalties & Corner should of had a pick 6 would would of made it a 3 point game at the time, next play swung it 14 points against.
Relax & let's have out first versus the rest of the NFL first, before killing yourself.

Put in Brown and start over tonight, game over man.
-
He probably threw himself out a window.
LOL, I've been laughing ever since I read this.

Chan Post game conference: We were fundamentally clocked in the mouth.

my hopes for an even mediocre season have been completely shattered.
Fundamentally floundering.

I am being taunted by my spouse about how the balt
/ rays baseball game is more interesting.

Are you saying starting them a few minutes before has *helped* our game?
As I posted on Fb when I woke up, I'm like a kid in a candy store! Can 7:30 just get here already?
-
I have a weird feeling that Brown will be starting by week 8, not necessarily because Trent is bad but having some type of nagging injury that doesn't allow him to play. Brown will end up being # 2 by the end of the preseason.

Ok who cried?? Who cried when old yeller died?? I cried when old yeller died.

Bills vs Redskins Preview 2010 Preseason Week 1
First of all, the Buffalo Bills will need to get used to seeing Donovan McNabb in a Washington Redskins uniform. "It's going to look funny," linebacker Kawika Mitchell said, "having him in that white or burgundy."
Once that is out of the way, the Bills hope to start a new chapter in their franchise by actually getting something meaningful accomplished in a preseason game when they visit the Redskins on Friday night.
Buffalo's starters scored just three points in 15 series during last year's 1-4 preseason, leading to the dismissal of the offensive coordinator 10 days before the regular season opener. It was no surprise, therefore, that the Bills stumbled to another losing season - 6-10 - and out of the playoffs for the 10th straight year.
"I felt last year's preseason was horrible," quarterback Trent Edwards said. "I'd throw that out and say that right now, that we didn't do what we needed to do. We weren't in rhythm."
Horrible was also a good word to describe the Redskins' 4-12 season, making Friday's game the first step in a cleansing of sorts for both teams, the debut of new faces and new concepts all across the field.
Mike Shanahan is the new Redskins coach. Chan Gailey is the new Bills coach. Both teams are installing a 3-4 defense. Both have questions at receiver and offensive line. McNabb is trying to master a new offensive scheme for the first time since he was a rookie, while Edwards is trying to maintain his edge in a three-way quarterback competition.
The Redskins starters will likely play the standard one quarter or so that has become the norm for the first preseason game, but the Bills first-teamers might be out there a while longer.
"I told our team (to) anticipate if you're a starter that you would play maybe a little bit longer than you would have in a normal situation because we're learning new schemes," Gailey said. "We have a new offense, new defense, new special teams. You might have to go a little bit longer so we can get a feel for each other."
The game is also the first under-the-spotlight chance for a bubble player to make a case for a roster spot, or for a player hoping a starting job to show he's worth a place at the top of the depth chart. The Redskins will unveil No. 4 overall draft pick Trent Williams at left tackle, while the Bills are working in No. 9 selection C.J. Spiller, although the versatile running back is playing catch-up after holding out for the first 11 days of training camp.
The Redskins will also trot out Albert Haynesworth, who is working as a second-string nose tackle after missing the first nine days of camp because he couldn't pass the team's conditioning test. It's not the norm for a two-time All-Pro with a $100 million contract to see much action in the first preseason game - especially as a backup - but the Redskins aren't about to let Haynesworth forget how he dissed the team during the offseason.
Yet the player highest on the curiosity meter for fans will be McNabb, who is more concerned with getting his new offense to function properly and less about his reception from the crowd.

What exactly OchoCinco means by revenge is unclear, but the knockout shot by Whitner was impressive and by the way legal. Usually OchoCinco is just looking to score touchdowns when he makes these call outs to opponents.
