  1. I think it is far too easy for players and fans to blame a coaching staff after they have departed and were unsuccessful. They are valid criticisms but I prefer to look beyond that. I am not looking or interested in making excuses for the Bills prior poor play/record. It serves very little purpose for me. Currently, I think the new regime in the short term is in "big trouble" for the reasons that have been stated over and over. No QB, weak OL, weak WR, weak OLB, pass rush?, stopping the run?, new defensive scheme, new coaches, inexperienced coaches, and very tough division. Hate to beat a dead horse but it gets a little tiresome hearing all the excuses. On the other hand, I know it gets tiring hearing the same old thing I am saying too. Frustration cuts both ways.....
  2. You are certainly entitled to your opinion and I know others here share your mindset. However, to say the above is a little over the top. If you read the post of members here you can see there are plenty of doubters here with valid concerns to support their skepticism. I happen to be one of them.
  3. Thanks for your comments. I am trying to "tone down" my negative responses.
  4. Steve, I understand your frustration and to a certain degree you make a good point. I believe we as fans haven't held this organization accountable for their failed accomplishments. I believe many fans are in denial and so desperate for success they cannot or will not seek the truth. However, as a die hard Bills fan I live to watch and cheer for my team. It is engarined in me like it or not. Going to a Bills game is an ultimate rush and natural high. I deserve that much
  5. I know I am biased but I believe we are amoung the best NFL fans.
  6. I will continue to be skeptical until proven otherwise. I will continue to express my viewpoints even if they happen to be negitive and pessimistic. I will not engage in childish name calling.
  7. Not much arguement here. Many here are tired of hearing the negatives. I suspect some might consider you a troll just like myself.
  8. My take on the rankings. The exact ranking and the teams a few slots ahead or behind us is not that important to me. We can make valid points about ranking us ahead of some teams. Your example of the Chiefs is a good one. I look at where we are ranked as a "whole" by the experts. The experts have us in the bottom tier of the NFL. IMO, that is most likely the case and a more important issue than looking at one or two teams we may be better than..
  9. I would rather not talk about one little line in the paragragh. I would rather encourage others to look at what he is saying... IMO, he's saying its going to be a long year. "Bitter is a poor choice of words... You can make you own conclusion.
  10. Hard to argue with that.
  11. Very witty Bill. Maybe the comparisons to Reggie Bush are accurate after all.
  12. Very bold prediction.
  13. I don't have to play the tape. I seen it live and I liked what Corey had to say. I liked it because he gave the Bills high grades. He said what I wanted to hear thus I liked it. Perhaps, that influenced your thinking too? I really hope Corey is right. I still like Charles Davis. I think he is knowledgeable and well spoken even if he and Corey Chavous disagreed.
  14. Thanks Fish, I really appreciate your candor. I am trying but still have a long way to go.
  15. Way too early to be having this conversation.
  16. Charles Davis I really like. Mark S. I really dislike.
  17. For every small school success how many small school failures are there? I don't know the answer. Big time players go to big time schools! The best players go to big time schools. The best players get scholarships. Nevertheless, I do think there is some validity to your argument. I think one must look at the totally player and the total picture. What happened to Xavier Omon? There are countless examples of small school bust too. It goes both ways. I don't think your criticism of me is totally fair but yet it does have some validity. The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle. Also, I never mentioned or expected Troup to get sacks or be a sackmaster as you point it. I do think it is important for the NT to make tackles though and not just take up space.
  18. I really enjoyed your post. I too am hoping that Brohm becomes the starter because we don't have anything to lose. Personally, I think Fitz gives us the best chance of winning, but that's only 4-6 wins anyway. So why not see if the kid can have a comeback. IMO, TE is not a leader, has no command presence, injury ridden, and plays scared. Not the qualities of a NFL QB.
  19. You must be really excited about the upcoming season. Looks like your Jets have a chance to go all the way. Time will tell. I remember the 90's and the excitment I had about our Bills. Now, all I can do is hope, pray, B word, and moan because common sense tells me it is going to be a long season. Signed one frustrated Bills fan.
  20. This is coming from a very reputable source. According to them, things aren't looking positive for the Bills this season. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2010/7/12/1564343/football-outsiders-2010-bills
  21. I would have liked Campbell or Clausen starting...
  22. Here is what an idiot thinks: "I never said i was content, I said there's no reason to be concerned, even a top QB talent would only be serviceable in a completely new offensive scheme." Must be the only Bills fan not concerned about our QB situation.
  23. Without a doubt, I agree with you. However, I think one must be open minded and allow oneself to look at other's shortcomings. Once I did this, I was able to comprehend the general theme of his message. I must reiterate that I concur with him/her. That is a sign of a true mature individual.
  24. I agree with you. I would also like to add that I don't expect much contibution from Troup. I think the guy could be pretty good with time but statistics show young rookie NT have a somewhat difficult transition making an immediate impact on the NFL field. Example BJ Raji out of BC. Very limited production last year and he was the talk of the draft last year. Also, Sedric Ellis although a DT had a very limited impact on the field too. Additionally, Troup played at a small school where the competition is weaker, I just don't see much immediate production from this guy. I think we are making a big mistake if we are counting on this guy to stop the run. I think we are still in trouble as far as stoppiing the run goes...
  25. Bummer, I thought I held that prestigious honor. Especially, after I handed K gun a "new AS S."
