  1. I think TE is a sub par QB. We have had plenty of footage on him and you can make all the excuses you want. He doesn't have the "it" factor, the "swagger", or what ever you want to call it. Not to mention this year the Bills are weak in the OL and WR roster. That's not a good sign for anyone we have under center. I think too many of our fans our expecting too much from coach Gailey. He simply doesn't have the talent.
  2. They should be held accountable for not addressing the OL. By most accounts, any football guy understands the game is won in the trenches. Nix/Gailey should be ashamed of themselves for trying to fool us. They haven't fooled me...IMO, they have made a colossal mistake.
  3. Very good point. They should have taken Clausen at 41 and OT Davis at 9. The we would have our LT and QB. The stands would be packed with excited. Not to mention Chan to mold them with his toughness and offensive creativity. Wow win or loose this board would be oozing with excitement. Instead we have no QB or LT. Same old Trent when it's game time wil panic, lose confidence, blame others, get hurt, and check down time after time. No wonder why "we" all our excited about Brohm.
  4. Guess we don't exactly have a stellar core of linebackers either....It's gonna be a long season guys.
  5. Very good post and I agree with your assessment of Trent. With that said, that's why the Bills should have gotten Jason Campbell or drafted Clausen.
  6. I don't think I am qualified to answer that question. I don't know what happened in the draft room. I think I would have tried to trade the pick and get more picks knowing we could have gotten our NT or OT. Could have gotten Davis, NT WIlliams, Buluga, Etc... The one thing that really bothered me on draft day was the way the Bills ran up to the podium and picked Spiller. They had ten fing minutes to see if anyone could have offered them a trade. They didn't even consider it. I believe that was a huge error. There was no reason to rush the pick. I know your going to say that was their guy and they grabbed him. Still, I think maybe a better offer may have been there if they waited... I can answer you question by saying I wasn't happy with the Spiller pick.
  7. Quite frankly, you don't bother me. However, I must say you are the rudest person I have ever seen here.
  8. IMO, we could have adequately address both of our needs with this draft, free agency pick up, or a trade. We didn't have to draft Spiller. Cam Thomas went to the Chargers in the fourth round. I would argue his is as good or better than Troup. I am not one who likes to make excuses for the front office. Maybe you are that kind of person?
  9. Please explain to me why Nix didn't address the OL this year? +1 for me.
  10. Your right things are going to be different but does that equate to W's.
  11. No, it's just another area that the Bills are weak in. Another area where teams can exploit our lack of receivers and tee off on the QB and our running game. No balance or lack of equals big trouble for our offense. God help Gailey and company.....
  12. The point is we should have taken him. It doesn't matter if he is Baltimore's RT or LT. He would have been our LT because we have no quality LT.
  13. I hear what your saying and your not the only one saying it. However, that is flawed logic because you have to factor in all the variables. (ie) new schedule, other teams upgrades/changes/injury progress, new systems, coaches, players, etc... It's not enough to say we have to be better cause Dick boy and the rest of the coaches are gone. More than that....
  14. Your right but that doesn't mean they are wrong about the Jets. Lets just say the Jet team and fans have a much much much better chance of going to the playoffs than we do. That's because they are strong on both their defensive and offensive lines. Unlike us....
  15. Try looking at their defensive and offensive lines and you will quickly know why they are favorites to win the division. Not to mention one of the best secondaries in the league and a defensive scheme/coach that is second to none. I am not sold on Sanchez either but with their system he doesn't have to be very good. Lt isn't the main RB and he will do fine as a secondary back to Greene. I would be very surprised if the Jets didn't make the playoffs. Wanna make a bet?
  16. I am not a big fan of the wildcat for us.
  17. DARTH, I have to agree it's Brohm's chance because the other guy suck ass. My fear is Brohm's going to suck because he sucked before. Lets find out for sure. My guess is we will be looking for a new QB in next years draft just like we thought in our last draft.....Scary huh?
  18. I don't think his opinion is incorrect. You even say his thinking is logical. I think his point is very valid. I think your point is valid as well. The truth lies somewhere in the middle. I watched every game last season and I didn't see much of what your talking about. We didn't appear to "OVERPLAY" the run as you put it. I do think you were incorrect to point out the he was wrong. His point has as much validity as yours.
  19. Amazing how you managed to put negative spin on those stats. I will take those stats in a heartbeat.
  20. I do agree that you were quite conservative in your ratings. I believe the Bills are going to struggle on both sides of the ball. New offense, new defense, new coaches, and still lack experience and talent especially at QB, OL, WR, and OLB positions. I have concerns about our pass rush and our ability to stop the run too. That's my breakdown.
  21. Great post. As I was reading Promo's "kool aided" post I was thinking the same thing. Lots of other variables need to be analyzed too.
  22. A kernel of truth to your statement. We aren't being ignored by the media we are being picked at the bottom of the NFL standings. Big difference. When we were a power house team in the 90's I don't remember being ignored by the media. I remember a ton of coverage. I can see hear Chris Berman saying "no one circles the wagons better the Bills." Over and over and over. Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith, Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed, and Marv Levy always getting air time. That was when ESPN was "the" major football TV coverage. Chris Bermin picked us to win super bowls year after year after year....He loved us and I loved him back. It's so easy to slam the media when we don't like what they say about our team. I happen to be a Bills fan who is agreeing with the media's assessment of our team. We aren't ging to win many games....
  23. Hey Maxie, I read your points and I really think they were more opinion related than fact orientated. I gave several reasons why things can get worse and they are legitimate reasons. My point was things can get worse. Whether that happens remains to be seen. I just think it is irresponsible thinking if you think things can't get worse...THEY CAN!
  24. Not sure I buy into seem to "get it" theory. IMO, seeming to get it would have been upgrading our QB situation and offensive line first and foremost. The new regime hasn't done that. When should the progress begin and shall we see results?
  25. Good point and I usually don't agree with you. I will take it one step further. You don't draft a RB at the 9th pick when you are sorely lacking in the trenches. To boot, you were already strong at that position anyway....
