  1. I would like to think that isn't true. At first, I was pretty rude and I deserved a "tongue lashing." Boy, did I get it good. However, I believe I have vastly improved my behavior and for the most part have been very civil. I still am opinionated and say unpopular things. Perhaps, I am in the minority. However, the unprofessionalism has stopped. As a matter of fact, you have been rude to me. See below. QUOTE (jeremy2020 @ Jul 30 2010, 12:52 AM) mpl, see a psychiatrist. For you own health. My response to you: If I recall correctly your last post to me was rude and uncalled for. Yet, I was very civil with you. QUOTE (jeremy2020 @ Jul 23 2010, 10:47 AM) Here's what you fail to understand, MPL, that is what your empty, shallow shell of of an existence is left with...most people have a lot of other things going on and love the Bills regardless. Also, most people understand that some situations can be addressed right now with a band aid, or you can wait until you can address the problem properly. The Bills have previously tried the method of finding a 'right now' fix and it doesn't work. The best teams stick to their philosophy and don't flail their arms about. I understand that your emotional problems lead you to believe the only way a problem get resolved is to flail wildly for 'something' to happen. Something could happen, but then you're left with a band aid on a gaping wound and everyone sitting applauding like jack*sses that a good move was made and the problem is solved. Then the band aid fails to be the solution and the wound is now infected. My response back to you: Jeremy, your personal attacks are unwarranted and uncalled for. However, I don't take them personally. Your post makes little sense with the exception of "bashing" me. I am not here to get into a pissing contest with you or anyone else. I stand by my original post 100%. Hope you have a nice day. No hard feelings here.
  2. By far the rudest person here. maybe that is something you are proud of.
  3. I do get it. I get that we didn't address the two most imortant positions to winning football games. It is loud and clear to me.
  4. Come on Alpha, I believe an organization has to make things happen. For the most part, I do not accept the fact that they couldn't make things happen. I will not settle for that kind of excuse. You can if you like.
  5. No need to have such an angry tone. Are you implying that Spiller is a sure thing? Far from that.... Some people could precieve the cocky Clausen attitude as a positive or convert that attitude into a positive. IMO,I wish TE had some of that attitude. Mike Singletary picked Davis at #11. I think most football fans have a fair amount of respect for him. He wasn't afraid to take him. Whether it works out or not, I think that says something about Davis' talent. I think most of the fans here would be elated if we picked up Gaither...or had picked up J. Brown IMO, our QB situation is "bleak." I am not holding my breath that TE, Fitz, or BB are going to have breakthoughs years and the "light" is going to go on. It can happen but I would say the chances are very slim. If we do not do something with our Qb situation this year what makes you think they will next year? Didn't we all think they were going to address the LT position this year? Didn't we think they were going to address the QB situatution this year? They did neither! Instead they are telling us that they are going to evaluate our talent and see what we have. As a fan, I think I know what we have! It doesn't appear to be adequate. Now we have see how they will do under Gailey's "magical wizard like offensive system." For one, I am not too hopeful that anything significant is going to change with our QB/LT positions. I truely believe what the "new regime" has done is unacceptable. The TWO MOST IMPORTANT POSITIONS ON THE FIELD HAVEN'T BEEN ADEQUATLEY ADDRESSED. There were moves to be made and they choose not to act. How can we be successful? Go ahead hand off the ball to Spiller and hold your breath because it's going to be a friggin long season. I know this won't sit well with many of you and I respect that. This was written from the heart with no malice.
  6. That is subject to interpretation. There was Bradford, Okung, Williams, Davis, D McNabb, Clausen ?, Gaither, J Brown, Gaither,.... The list goes on and on. They have had plenty of chances to make a move. Plan and simple they haven't
  7. Then why aren't the Bills following this "master plan."
  8. IMO, it's about a 3 win season anyway we slice it. Run, pass, pass, run, run run, pass pass, check down after check down, Gailey magic, Gailey offense, etc.... 3-5 wins is about all I can see. I know others will vehemently disagree with me.
  9. I am a Bills fan and I wouldn't dare buy a TE jersey. I would rather have the money go towards buying a Jim Kelley jersey. At least I can wear the jersey with some pride and attitude.
  10. I agree with your post. The one thing to remember is the Bills will run the ball like 70% of the time and the passing game is going to short, sweet, and quick. So whomever the QB is he won't get killed. I suspect we will throw only a couple of long passes per game. No vertical passing game this year. Perhaps, I am exaggerating but I think you get the point.
  11. I am really excited about opening day. I think we have a very good chance of winning on opening day. The crowd, the atmosphere, the players pumped up, new thinking, attitude, and belief, etc... That's coming from one pessimistic SOB.
  12. I think we should get rid of all our QB's and get a bona fide NFL starting QB. OOPPS, I guess it's too late for that.
  13. Excellent post. According to the information you have provided we still need IMO, (1) QB (2) DE (3) LT and (5) WR. How are we ever going to fill all those needs in one or two drafts? I am not hopeful that any of our guys on our current roster we fill any of the above mentioned positions needed to build a winning franchise. Another question is some experts had Spiller rated as the top 3 rated players in the whole draft. 8 teams passed on him because of need and we didn't. We didn't need another running back. With so many other needs we could have taken or even traded up to get the LT tackle we wanted? or traded back? Plus, many our talking like Spiller already has ran for 1500 yards, caught 5 td passes, and has run back 3 kick returns. The guy has not done anything as a pro yet. I am not ready to pronounce this guy as a pro bowler RB. There is a possibility that this guy doesn't live up to his "hype" as pro. I think Reggie Bush fits into this category.
  14. Bill your entitled to your opinion. I don't share your optimism regarding our line. I have a difficult time understanding how you can think that. But, hey maybe you are right.
  15. The game was won in the trenches with solid lines on both sides. Something the Bills appear to be weak in.
  16. Can he make the next move and do it in the NFL. I would say that Reggie Bush hasn't really lived up to his billing coming out of college. Not sure if that's a valid comparison but it seems fitting.
  17. Bill what about their offensive lines?
  18. That is very true. I just don't know why you can't even admit the front office should have waited and listened to other offers. They had ten minutes to see if something too good to be true could have materialized. I would have never shortened my options especially that we are a team in transitions and have many holes to fill. IMO, very very bad tactical move.
  19. What kind of offensive line did those teams have. Were they comparable to our current OL? Answer No not even close.
  20. Well, some experts thought he was one of the top rated player in the whole draft. why did 8 other teams pass on him? Answer: they drafted to their needs and we didn't. Plus, we didn't even consider trading the pick based on how they ran to the podium. Closed off a potential too good to be true trade. Really there was no legit reason not to wait and listen to others offers.
  21. I know they drafted the "college extraordinary playmaker." I am excited to see him play. I am hoping he can produce on the NFL level too. It seems as though many have already proclaimed him as the next CJ. There are no guarantee that Spiller is going to have pro success. He is not a lock by any means. Your statement of a trench player dime a dozen is naive and very shallow. Look at this years draft and past drafts and see where LT,OL,DE (trench players) were drafted. There is your answer. There are valid points to made on drafting Spiller or not drafting him. Time will tell if he is an NFL star running back.
  22. Fair enough response Doc. I don't think they have done enough but I respect your response back.
  23. Tennessee, I like your post and generally agree with what you have written. Even for me that statement is a little over the top. Nix and Gailey inherited a bunch of Dick Juaron's poop. You have to take that into consideration too. One year is too soon to axe them. I agree I haven't been impressed either.
