That's the best you can do Doc? Very disappointing... -

I completely understand your frustrations with regards to signing our draft picks. I have lots of other frustrations with our organization too. Sometimes my anger and frustration gets the best of me too. I do think your being too hard on yourself. Relax and take it all in. I have had my ass handed to me on several occassions. Some justified and some not justified. No big deal we are all Bills fans wanting our Bills to win and bring home that Lombardi trophy. -

No need to apoligize to me. I'll pat you on your back but that's as far as i'll go. Sometimes it is nice to be right. -

BillsPhan, I think it's a little odd to pat yourself on the back like you did. However, I am not going to give you a hard time for doing so. From what I read, it appears you were correct. Congrats -
Perry Fewell Doing Well With The Giants
mpl6876 replied to Mr. ChumChums's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would say the same way Gailey's doing it. Could be his attitude, command presence, leadership qualities, knowledge, etc... -
I am on the record (i think) as saying I wanted Marty to be the Bills head coach. I was wondering if you think he would have been a good fit. Do you think it would have been a more popular hire than Gailey? The one thing I always liked about him is that he seems to kick ass and take names. A tough coach who seemed to motivate his players. A lot like what I am hearing Galiey is doing.

Mr. Dan, I have no reason to apologize for any of my recent postings. Including the ones in this thread. Let me correct you on a few things. (1) I haven't been in Buffalo for over 15 years and I often lose touch with Buffalo Bills issues. Call me stupid if you want; but I never Knew Fred Smerlas was a "know Buffalo Bills basher." (2) I have never expected you or anyone else to like me. (3) Dan, I have no agenda. I just express how I feel. (4) I am not straving for attention or looking for any I'm straving for attention." (5) Self grandizing and life meaning...That statement is ridiculous and inflammed with malice. No other comment needed. (6) Have you ever thought for one minute that I have a difficult time reading positive statements from you and others. Maybe to me they seem furthest from the truth. Maybe the positive posts are insulting to my intelligence because I truley believe our team is in trouble. I believe in being positive when I see positives I don't see much yet. It cuts both ways Dan. Dan, I suppose your anger got the best of you. I will not engage in any immature bashing here.

Rabbit, I agree with you on Marty. In fact, I was hoping the Bills would be able to land him as our HC. Obviously, that didn't happen. I am still not sure if Marty didn't want to come here or if the Bills choose not to hire him. I think there was conflicting reports. Maybe someone can enlighten me as to what really happened with Marty and the Bills.

I am not about to get into a pissing contest with you. I simply express my viewpoints on how I see the current affairs of the Bills. It just so happens to be mostly negative and I will not apologize for that. Your questioning me about being a Bills fan is again uncalled for and unwarranted. There is no evidence to prove that point. A fan can be extremely critical of his team especially after they have a 10 year track record of being pretty poor. If it makes you feel better go ahead and "sling that mud" because your insults don't faze me. I thought the purpose of this board was to express my feelings and opinions with other Bills fans. I see nothing wrong with commenting negatively or positively to other member's post. I have that right just like you do. To me, the beauty of this board is to see all the various viewpoints. This forum and its members are very diverse and I think that's what makes this forum so special and fun. I actually look forward and get excited when I see some of my favorite and not so favorite members names creating another thread or post. I read it with anxious anticipation. With all due respect, I think you are making yourself look very foolish. I will admit I was foolish some weeks ago. However, I truely believe I have stopped being insultive and fooloish. I cannot say the same for you. I think you have every right to disagree with my post, question my viewpoints and opinions. However, you have really crossed the line when you question whether I am a Bills fans or not. Believe it or not, there are plenty of Bills fans who see a "bleak" outlook for the upcoming season or two (2). I just so happen to be one of them. Sir, you have a nice day and maybe one day we will be in the stands yelling and screaming for "our Bills." No hard feelings because through thick and thin "we Bills fans will stick together."

The Chargers division is so weak that 8-8 is likely to win the division. I would be shocked if they didn't win the AFC West. I think there problems will arise once they play a quality playoff team. Like A.J. or not he has produced a winning team.

Good post Green lightning. However, I am not young and I have been to many Bills games. I don't currently live in Buffalo and haven't for 15 years or so. I still have family back in Buffalo and try to go back at 1x a year. I will always go to a Bills game when I go home. I went to the Bills game when we "waxed" the Raiders in the 90's. I don't remember the exact score and I am too tired to look it up. It was like 50 to 10. I loved it!!!! I just wish I could share in your viewpoint that things are turning around. I respect your viewpoint but with respect I disagree.

I agree with you. I don't always agree with San Jose and we have had our differences. Nevertheless, I do enjoy his posts. I don't hold any grudges. -

I just stated my opinion and politely asked the man what the purpose of his thread was. If I was wrong then I apoligize. -
Rabbit another good post. The Rivers/Brees QB comparison is debatable as you stated. Lots of fans here in San Diego wanted to see Marty go. I am not so sure that your comparison is completely accurate. Marty did had a very good to great regular season record. His post season record was another story. Consistently the Chargers would lose in the their playoffs games. He wasn't "hammered" in the local papers for playing "Marty Ball." Which was an ultra conservative game plan. Whether it's valid or not that was the perception here. I guess Marty's ghost still huants the fans and Norv Turner. Right on about needing to get McNiel and Jackson signed. IMO, they will still win their division but they will not go far the playoffs without them. AJ is one tough SOB and his style is something that will be talked about for a long time here in San Diego. Some fans really like him and others don't. Pick your poison.

OK. Then what was the purpose of the thread? Just to tell/inform us that Snead got released? I think it's safe to say the thread implies that maybe Buffalo should consider him. Or at least we can start talking about whether we think the front office should take a look at him? Something along those lines.... Better yet let me just ask him. -
I am here in San Diego and by default I have learned quite a lot about A.J. Smith. He is one tuff SOB. I think his style has many advantages and disadvantages. I wouldn't want to be a player negotiating my contract with him. He even intimidates me when I read the local paper. However, he has had quite a good team here for quite some time. The stigma is the team can't win the big playoff games. It does seem to be true.

I know I am not wanted here but I found a couple of quotes that appear to have validity. Fred Jackson: "For us to get respect, we have to go out and make the people respect us," Jackson said. "The only way to change that is to go out and win ball games." Fred Smerlas: "They make it very tough to root for," Smerlas said. "They bring in a coach no one really knows. When you're playing against (New England coach) Bill Belichick, who makes $10 million a year, I'm not putting Chan Gailey in there. I'm not putting a cat against a lion." Noting that coach and quarterback are the most important positions to address for any team to be competitive, Smerlas added: "I have to have a game plan, and I need a guy smart enough to execute that game plan otherwise I'm dead. And they're just dead." These aren't my quotes.

Come on guys enough of the talk about getting another QB. I am not happy with our QB situation but the Bills Front Office isn't going to pick up another QB. Gailey and Co. have made it clear that it's going to be TE, Fitz, or BB.
