What if Trent becomes an above average QB???
mpl6876 replied to sharper802's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would love for TE to become an above average QB. that would fill a "huge" need for us. I have my doubts. We should find out this year. I would say this is his last chance to prove himself. -
Go To Camp and see for Yourself,Edwards is WAY BETTER!

You are very impolite and rude. Why don't you go away. Are you just looking to "pounce" on anything I say. My post wasn't an attack on him! It was just a simple statement and observation that I didn't see that from other posters. If I were on attack mood the tone wouldn't have been nice. i was just simply opening up for discussion if TE is actually doing better. It was no attack. It wasn't remotely a troll statement. Your attacks are unwarranted, unfounded, and unprofessional. You are way out of line. As some may have noticed, I have been trying to change. Others like yourself are looking for every opportunity to "lambest" me. Your reply to me is embarrassing and you should be ashamed of your behavior. An apology would be the correct thing to do. Lets see if you can muster up an apology. I have my doubts. -

I appreciate your post, opinions, and comments. I suspect TE is going to be the starter but I could be wrong. Your post says TE is preforming way better than the other three. I have been reading several camp updates from members here. Their accounts haven't left me with an impression that TE is outperforming the other QB's. -
I am not so sure about that statement and giving them credit for not trading him. IMO, it was they couldn't get the value they wanted for him. If I remember the rumors correctly they wanted a 2nd round pick and Seattle and perhaps other teams were offering 4th round picks.

Dan that was a good post. I am extremely disappointed as well. However, I suppose some can say with some validity that some of the guys can step it up with a solid sysytem and solid coaching. Also, it has been said that the new regime didn't like any of the available QB and LT people who were available. I think there is a "kernal" of truth in the statement but overall, I agree with your assessment. About the no coaching statement. I liked and still like Perry Fewel. I thought he did a solid job with what he had. I think he will do well with NYG.

I think without a doubt Gailey and company are evaluating the talent on the time. However, I don't believe they intentionally choose not to address there needs because they wanted to see what kind of talent they have. Or as you put in hamper the development of the young guys. I believe that is flawed logic and Gailey and company are too smart to fall into that type of thinking. I think there are several reasons why positions weren't filled. One can only speculate as to why. My thinking is: (1) they couldn't possibly address all the need areas in one year (2) they didn't like the people that were available to pick up (3) they were unable to make the move for a variety of reasons (4) they are satisified with their current players or believe that the players they have will develop into fine players (5) there is no urgency to win this year and that could have factored into their thinking I am sure there are more. That's my take on the issue.

Bill, I must say after each reply you are making yourself look more and more foolish. You were speaking behind my back. There is no other way around it. Spin and spin it and it still remains the same. You cowardly used my name in mockery. You want to talk about the DL. This whole issue unfortunately isn't about that. Don't try to skirt the issue. Really, I was skimming through pages looking to attack someone. Dead wrong Bill. Dead wrong Bill. What a foolish statement based on no evidence. I had no intent whatsoever to "find someone to attack." That statement is unwarranted and unjustified. Obviously, you don't like me and perhaps your anger got the best of you. I have no problem with you not liking me. I have a problem when you say unprovoked comments without my knowledge. You crossed the line... Bill, I am done. I will not be saying anymore regarding this issue. It is not fair to the people on this board. I do apologize to you. If you so choose you can have the last word. Like it or not, I still think we are weak at the QB, OL, WR, OLB, DL positions. A humble apology would go a long way. Wondering if you could munster an apology. Under the circumstances, I don't think that is asking too much. -
BGIOP's Training Camp Report (8/3)
mpl6876 replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bill, it had nothing to do with valuing my opinion. It had everything to do with a "back stabbing" comment about me. You did't have the "courage" to say it to my face. CHARACTER COUNTS and you lack that.... I suppose you will not be able to muster an apology. -
Hey Alpha, this is in response to trading down our # 1 draft pick. You responded above. I have been trying to find where Nix had stated this. I am not in Buffalo, perhaps it was on the local TV? This is the first time I have heard that we had the opportunity to trade the pick. If anyone can validate the source, I would love to read and or hear it. Thanks.

BGIOP's Training Camp Report (8/3)

Enuf, I completely agree with you. However, in this case I feel I had the right to defend myself because I had done nothing wrong. I was totally shocked when I had seen what Bill had written. -

Bill, you are absolutely in the wrong. I have a right to be negaitve and many on this board happen to agree with a lot of what I say. You and many others happen to think otherwise. Fact: I didn't even say a word on this thread! I wasn't pissing in anyone's cheerios as you point it! The only reason why I replied in this thread was because of what you did. Fact: Go back and look at our responses back and forth. I have ALWAYS been civil and polite with you. Often we agreed to disagree without negative connotations. Fact: You made a point to talk about me behind my back. That says a lot about your character.... You can stand by your classless, unprofessional act if you like. You can try to justify it anyway you like. The fact is you were dead wrong and probably never will ever admit to it. Pretty sad... Now like me address your response. So your telling me I can be negative before camp but now I can't be negative because camp has started. That is great sound logic Bill. Or is that an opinion your trying to shove down my throat? I have been paying attention to the training camp reports. In fact, I have personally thanked the guys for their hard work and observations. I have the right to express my viewpoints on the Buffalo Bills. Just like you do. I HAVE NEVER NEVER NEVER attacked anyone behind there back. If I have something to say I say it directly to that person. Isn't that common sense? Nice try to place the blame on me. It is my fault? You can pelt me with insults behind my back because of my past negative post. Nothing more needed to say there. Bill, IMO, you should be ashamed. -

What the heck was that all about Bill. I haven't said a word in this thread and you throw that in there. You should be ashamed of yourself. A classless act. -
I am not sure what will transpire on next years draft day. I keep reading how so many of us say next years draft is better for QB's. It appears to be true but we really don't know that. The QB's in question could get injured, play poorly, stay in college (Luck). When draft day comes around there may only be none, 1, or 2 what we call franchise QB's. I just think it is very dangerous to say wait til next years draft. Also, we don't know where the Bills will be drafting and if they will be able to "land" that elusive franchise QB. (Maybe they will take the BPA and it might be another running back.) Lastly, those quoted words. How many of us said that in this years draft? I know I did. The only sure thing is we didn't address the QB or LT situation this year....

Hossage, I have one account and one acount only. I have nothing to hide. I'm not perfect and have said things that I regret. At least, I can admit to that. You are by far the rudest person on here. Maybe that's something your proud of? Your rude comments do not affect me and they only make you look "very shallow" to be polite. Have a great day fellow Bills fan.

Lack of OT's May Kill BILLS Again!
mpl6876 replied to bills in va's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't always agree with your viewpoints but I respect them. I think you are a knowledgeable Bills fan. Doc, I am going to stay out of you and Thurm's business. I shouldn't have butted in. I apologize. Good little jab on the judge of credibility statement...I'll leave it alone. -
Dean, you seem to be very "micro" with your thinking process. Point being who cares what his intent was. Your response back was inappropriate, uncalled for, and unwarranted. Two wrongs don't make a right. You could have responded a 100 different ways w/o being rude. The only reason why I am saying this is because on several instances I have been wrongly implicated in my post.

Tennessee, I agree with almost everything you have posted. I have a difficult time understanding how Bills fans are able to justify putting a positive spin on what the new regime has done. -

Your changing the facts again. Doc, "man up" and say hey Thurm I was wrong. Your credibility will go a lot further then skirting around the issues and continuing to change the premises of your argument.
