  1. James Harrison or Clay Matthews.
  2. Well we all know it's gonna be cold. And wet on Sunday...just sayin
  3. No. ANY RB that comes in as a rookie who was drafted in the top 10 SHOULD produce. At least show something. At least see the field. DO SOMETHING. Bruce Smith had 6.5 sacks his rookie year which is GREAT for a rookie DE. That showed something. QB's are different because it's just a harder position to grasp. RB, its easier to get adjusted to, since its mostly instinct. To QB, you have to learn so much more. Dont compare a RB rookie to a QB rookie. It takes longer to develop a QB. And if your rookie QB develops quickly, then you got yourself something special. People need to stop comparing a rookie RB to rookie QB. QB has so much more responsibilities than a RB. A RB needs to read the hole, and react to it, and read the blitz and pick it up. A QB has to worry about where his 10 players are on the field AT ALL TIMES AND worry about where all 11 players are on the other side. He's responsible for EVERYTHING on the field. So I don't want to hear another person compare a rookie QB to a rookie RB again. Please. Hey Bowery. You afraid I'm gonna quote you and make you look bad? Well I'm calling you out anyways. Big Ben didnt start immediately and only started because Mark Maddux got injured. How hard is it to play for a team with the number 1 defense and the number 2 rush offense in the league. That takes A LOT of pressure off a young QB. Same thing with the Jets last year. Number 1 defense and number 1 rush offense. See the pattern? Number 1 defenses and number 1 rushing offense to help the QB? Do you think that Roeth and Sanchez won the games their rookie years? NO... Roethlisbergers numbers werent that great his first 2 years. VERY conservative. 17 TDs and 13 turnovers. Its not like took the league by storm. Teams that draft for need and within a system are teams that will succeed. Teams like the Ravens, Patriots, Eagles, will always draft for need and draft smart. Smart drafters build successful teams. BTW Spiller wasn't the "best player available." If we took BPA, we wouldve drafted Dez Bryant.
  4. Is he really? Is he ELITE? You have numbers that show that he's top 5 best blocking RB in the entire league? Interesting. So what does this have to do with Spiller again?
  5. Obviously you haven't seen them play since they lost to the Brownies a couple weeks ago.
  6. Well said.
  7. OK so who cares. How much money is he making? Especially in today's rough economy and people losing their jobs left and right? That fat piece of sht should be LUCKY to have a job making that much cash. If I was making 100 million dollars to play fckin football for a living. I'd be grateful and play regardless. You defending this guy? Really?
  8. Hate em all you want but that team is built to succeed for another couple years. That defense is freakin crazy young and will only get better. They'll be a top 10 defense in another year or 2.
  9. Pro Bowls become such a joke these days and means nothing. It used to be such an honor, but lately its become such a chore. Nobody wants to play in it and its suffered because of it. Should i reiterate that David Garrard made the pro bowl last year? David Garrard. Last year nine alternates replaced the leading vote getters for the pro bowl for the AFC squad. Thats a freakin joke. You can't hit players. you can't blitz. you can't rush the kicker. No stunting, base 43 defense.
  10. http://www.draftcountdown.com/sub/Mock-Draft-A.php
  11. Bad weather + Peyton Hillis + bad Bills run defense = anguish
  12. When are mock drafts ever right?
  13. Sorry i was too busy proving other people wrong as well. If we draft Luck, then we sit him for another year and learn under Fitz. It's A LOT harder for a QB to be successful in his rookie year than a running back. Just look at the success rate of rookie QBs to rookie RBs...But I guess you already knew that. So you're just proving to me that you don't know what the hell you are talking about and that you have a personal thing against me for some stupid reason. Cool LOL..ELITE RB? You comparing Fred to Adrian Peterson, Arian Foster, Maurice Jones Drew, Michael Turner?? Fred is a very good back but FAR, FAR from elite. So you're saying the only reason that Spiller doesnt see the field is because he doesn't pass block well? I'm sure thats PART of the reason but not the whole reason.
  14. Wouldnt surprise me.
  15. He's right about everything he's written in his post. Good RBs show potential when they hit the field and make the most of their opportunities. Even when Michael Turner was Tomlinson's backup, he was busting out long runs every single time he got the ball. Chris Johnson was still productive while he was playing with Lendale. Kenneth Davis did awesome when he filled in for Thurman Thomas. Mendenhall played well when he filled in for Parker. Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs co-exist. Jamal Charles and Thomas Jones are doing well. Ricky WIlliams and Ronnie Brown do well. Jonathon Stewart did VERY well his rookie year sharing the ball with Deangelo Williams. So for those that keep arguing that Spiller is not producing because of Freddy or Marshawn, that is the biggest crock of crp i've heard. Good RB's get on the field and produce regardless. If Chan see's potential and improvement in Spiller then he'd be playing more.
  16. I don't understand how Haynesworth has anything to do with Shanahan. Shanahan comes in and wants to install a 34 defense. Is Shanahan supposed to NOT do that because of 1 man? Is this Haynesworth's team? And what does McNabb have to do with Shanahan? McNabb was never a great QB. He's always been a decent QB
  17. Kawika will fit very well in that defense.
  18. Fitz is the man for this year and next year. You're right. But he's not the man for long term. We need that face NOW while we stll have a competent QB.
  19. And I'll also wait for Maybin to turn into the next Bruce Smith. Were you also waiting for James Hardy to turn it around?
  20. If you had the money and were going bald, you wouldnt get a hair transplant? It has nothing to do with being girly.
  21. Look at the post above me. That poster brought up OJ as an example and i delivered an answer. Dont jump on my back for speaking the truth and proving that poster wrong. A running back needs to show promise to get the carries. But i guess you wouldnt understand that. Spiller averages 4 yds per catch. Best averages 8 yds per catch. How about those numbers? Best has shown more in his rookie year than Spiller has. I'd critique Spiller a bit more if he even saw the field on game days. For those that are arguing that Spiller doesn't get enough playtime because Freddie Jackson is the main runner? Chris Johnson's rookie year, he had close to 1,500 total yds from scrimmage and 10 TDs with Lendale White taking over 1,200 yds and 7 TDs. NEXT LAME EXCUSE? Talentwise Spiller is better because he's more athletic. As for TOUGHNESS and gut, Woodhead has shown more. He's not afraid to pass block and stick his nose in there and BLOCK. He gets dirty. A football player. Spiller on the otherhand would rather dance around like a ballerina and avoid contact. That's the difference. Woodhead is a gutsy player that has plenty of heart and a high football IQ. A Belichick type player. He doesn't take the players who run fast or is all flash. He takes the gritty players like Woodhead and Welker that contribute to the game immediately. Give me a break. Sure bring up Best's average per carry. How many more carries does he have compared to Spiller? Best has more playtime and more carries because he's just plain beter. His lack of yds per carry is the result of the Lions poor o-line. Give Spiller the ball as much as Best does and see how his average is. OOH THATS RIGHT. U HAVE TO GET ON THE FIELD TO GET AS MANY CARRIES AS BEST. Spiller averages 4.1 yds per catch compared to Bests 8.1. Explain that?
  22. You're right. Stats don't show the whole picture but Spiller doesnt start many games nor does he pass block well.
  23. Marshawn Lynch was over 1000 yds in his rookie year, So did OJ Simpson. So did Willis McGahee (HIS FIRST FULL YEAR), So did Thurman Thomas, Travis Henry was just over 900+ yds his rookie year ANTOWAIN SMITH HAD 1017 YDS FROM SCRIMMAGE HIS ROOKIE YEAR. BUT ITS OK...CJ Spiller is learning to play a HARD position. I dunno. When Antowain Smith has almost 4 times more yds from scrimmage than your prized RB, then I have a SERIOUS issue. Not my fault you can't back up your statements
  24. OJ had over 1000 total yds from scrimmage and 5 TDs. 697 yds rushing and 343 yds receiving. Almost 4 times more than Spillers 280 yds from scrimmage. NEXT LAME EXCUSE? Like shooting fish in a barrel.
  25. Spiller's role is more of WR which takes longer to develop? Jahvid Best has 50 receptions, 407 yds, 8.1 yds per reception and 1 TD CJ Spiller 20 receptions, 82 yds, 4.1 yds per reception, and 1 TD BEST is better than Spiller at receiving too. I thought it took time for a WR type role to develop? NEXT LAME EXCUSE PLEASE? I know right??? And i'm sure Raider fans are giving Darius Heyward Bey a break too. He runs fast.
