  1. He's nowhere near dominant but he's a decent tackle; which is why i keep saying we should move him to RT. Keep Levitre, Wood and Urbik inside and get a dominant LT in free agency.
  2. Regardless Jarius Byrd's ONE good season here has been better than any year Whitner's had as a member of this team.
  3. All you need to see is Arthur Moats blowing past Joe Thomas (an all pro tackle), to strip Delhomme of the ball and that shows me the kinda talent this guy has. Also the fact that the he was on A LOT of teams radar on draft tells me somethin. He also has a MUCH better personality and isn't a prima donna like Maybin is. I still don't see the point in comparing the 2. Moats is already light years ahead of Maybin in his first year. Loving this Moats kid.
  4. I agree with a lot of what you said, but I wouldn't say our OT situation is in "shambles." But it can definately be improved upon.
  5. Until Whitner does something for this defense that actually means something, then he's not worth the money. Theres TONS of good young safeties that look much more promising than he ever has. Nate Allen, Eric Berry, Earl Thomas, and even George Wilson and Jarius Byrd. He's not worth the money and he is EASILY replaceable. George Wilson, a converted WR is way ahead of Whitner in my eyes. Later Whitner. Enjoy riding the bench for some other team.
  6. The kid's in denial, because his favorite player has been outperformed by undrafted RBs.
  7. If we were serious about getting a TE, then we probably wouldve or shouldve taken one last year. That class has been unreal. With Pitta, Hernandez, Gronkowski, and even Jimmy Graham has shown flashes of life.
  8. I like our WR core we have now. Evans, Johnson, Parrish, Nelson, and Easley was making noise before he got hurt. I'd love to see what that kid has. No need to change it what so ever.
  9. Good riddens. He can take his 100 meaningless tackles elsewhere.
  10. LOL...this was a mistake from day one. A top 10 pick being outdone by Chris Ivory, Legarrette Blount, and Jahvid Best. And people are still defending this guy. If we were drafting BPA, then we should've just taken Dez Bryant. Chris Ivory will have rushed for almost 800 yds probably by the end of his rookie season, and same with Blount and Best will most likely have around 1,000 yds from scrimmage. But CJ Spiller? Way to earn your money. Supposedly RB is a hard position to adapt to in your rookie year.
  11. The point of drafting a QB NOW is so we won't have to start a ROOKIE QB in the future. We have a legit QB to give a young QB time to develop into a better QB. I wouldn't even mind taking a raw QB like Locker in the 2nd and develop him under Chan and Fitz. Now that we're officially out of the Luck lottery.
  12. He should've been fired. The dude couldve seriously injured himself.
  13. There IS NO comparison to the 2. I don't even get it. Moats has shown more in 2 games than Maybin has in his entire NFL career.
  14. I think some people on this site are still waiting for him to blow up on the scene. "Look at what he did in college."
  15. *Good lord, do we have 5th graders in here? That would be grammatically correct. Corrected by a "5th grader." Just helping you out a little bit.
  16. Chan has taken an AVERAGE QB in the NFL and made him legit. Just imagine what he can do with a legit QB with even more tools.
  17. College is college. Doesn't always translate to what they do in the pros. Colt Brennan, Danny Weurffel, Gino Torretta, Timmy Chang, Desmond Howard, Ron Dayne, Rashaan Salaam, Andre Ware, Ki Jana Carter, Tyrone Wheatley, Napolean Kaufman, Garrison Hearst come to mind who were successful and productive college players who never succeeded in the NFL. So I really REALLY don't give a rats azz about what he accomplished in college. Pass blocking IS important. NOBODY is denying that. But it's not more important than running the ball and scoring TDs. REGARDLESS...Spiller hasnt shown the ability to block well, run the ball and catch well either.
  18. Of course not but we all know that, that won't happen so as of right now, it's a waste of a pick. You guys can dream and hope and pray that Spiller doesn't become the next Whitner or the next McCargo, or the next Mike WIlliams, or the next Losman, or the next Flowers, or the next Maybin, or the next McKelvin. I make judgements off what I've seen and what they've done. And I haven't been impressed with Spiller at all. Sure he has over 4 yds per carry, but he doesn't have a lot of carries. 4.1 yds per touch for the AVERAGE 4.8 carries he has in a game That doesn't impress me at all.
  19. I dont think you wrote enough.
  20. Yup...pass protecting is more important than gaining yds and running with the ball.BTW. Spiller does neither well. I'm still waiting for those stats that show that Fred is "ELITE" among RB in terms of pass blocking.
  21. Thanks. I apologize that you're never able to prove your points.
  22. Jahvid Best's numbers are beter and he's on an equally bad team
  23. Then I guess it was a mistake for the Lions to take Ndamukong Suh and the Steelers should just cut James Harrison. I wouldnt mind an aggressive and nasty player on this defense.
  24. My favorite episode was the vinegar face.
  25. FX has some of the best shows on TV right now along with HBO obviously. Sons of Anarchy, The League, and Always Sunny rock.
