  1. I've seen enough of him NOW. If you think that he's going to light it up and be the player he was 5 years ago, without playing a single down in almost 2 years, you're going to be disappointed.
  2. Those players changed to another position so they could contribute to the team while utilizing their strength. Why would you take a LB where his biggest strength is rushing off the edge, and then stick him in the middle where he won't be able to utilize his greatest asset? Thats just stupid talk. Urlacher went from Safety to MLB because of his physicality and ability to tackle. Rod Woodson changed from CB to S later in his career because that's what his biggest strength would be. This is what Jauron's crew failed to do. For example, putting Wood at G when his greatest strength is at C. Sure, you can just put him at Guard and he'll play at Guard, but what position would he excel at the most? Center. Its really not that difficult of a concept.
  3. I DON'T GIVE A SHT WHAT HE DID 5,6, OR 7 YEARS AGO. I just don't CARE. Great. What good is that going to do us NOW? Keep bringing up his past. Was he dominant? Yes. What's he done the last 2 years? NOTHING. I never said he wasn't once dominant did I? He was, but I just really dont give a sht about what he did with the Chargers. What's Merriman done NOW? Keep bringing up Merriman's number from 6 or 7 years ago cuz I don't care. All I care about is what they can do for us NOW and who is a better option for us NOW. NOW being the key word. Not 5 years ago. Not 6 or 7 years ago. NOW. Key Word: NOW. N-O-W. NOW. Merriman ONCE had in this league. NO MORE. If Merriman can get 100% better and play like he did 6 years ago? Of course. BUT that's not the case NOW is he. Key word. NOW.
  4. Really? I'm not even going to respond to that comment. Shawne Merriman last 4 years. 44 tackles, 4 sacks, 0 INT, 0 FF, Arthur Moats last year - 33 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 0 INT, 1 FF If Merriman was 100% healthy, do you think the Chargers would've let him go and would've signed in Buffalo? I don't think so. So if Merriman was 100% healthy, he STILL wouldn't be the best OLB on our team because he most likely wouldn't even BE on this team.
  5. I would still sign him to a 3 year extension. He's not going to demand top money and even if we do take someone like Gabbert at 3, he won't be NFL ready for a year or 2. Fitz seems like a selfless person that understands his role on this team.
  6. WTF? He DEFINATELY has enough arm. Nobody questions his arm or his athletic abilities. This guy is a leader. He's tough, and he knows the pro style system. He'll adapt very well at the next level.
  7. Merriman? What has he done? Merriman had 4 sacks in his last 4 years. Moats has 2 sacks in his last 4 games. Not to mention that Moats is probably healthier AND younger. And you'd start Merriman? Who has a higher upside and more potential? Moats.
  8. When was the last time the Packers and Steelers made a big free agent signing? I like that we're not super aggressive in the FA market. Our problem is that we're inept at drafting players on draft day. Great teams build through the draft and find ways to KEEP their players. We don't draft well and don't keep our players. Complete opposite of what good teams should do.
  9. Fitz has organized his team's workout. Carson's brother is organizing the Bengal's workout. Nuff said. Fitz should be our starter for the next 2 years while we groom his successor.
  10. He's totally earned a spot. The guy knows how to get to the QB and he's the best pass rusher we have. Who's a better rusher than he is? Kelsay? Merriman? Maybin? Get real.
  11. If you can make throws to Steve Johnson and an overrated Lee Evans with the likes of David Nelson and still put up similar numbers to someone who's throwing to T.O, Ochocinco, Caldwell, Shipley, and Gresham. Then I'd say so. Fitz has the support of his team...Carson? Not so much.
  12. I would. Starting the last 4 games and getting 2 sacks, 1 FF in 4 of those games as a rookie is pretty good IMO. He's earned it. Not at 3 (unless Dareus is there).
  13. ANDREEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Dolphins have so much talent on their roster but don't know how to utilize them. Just a waste.
  15. Miller is not an ILB.
  16. That's just a plain dumb idea. Fitz is playing at a much higher level right now. Stick with Fitz for the next 2 years as a starter. Then we start GABBERT or Locker (hopefully).
  17. When Nix said he wanted a scatback in last year's draft, that was clearly a smokescreen too. GO GIT GABBERT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Winning all that crp doesnt mean anything. Who cares about JUCO and who cares what he accomplished in college. Some of the best QBs in NFL history never did anything in college and some of the WORST QBs in NFL history had stellar college careers. So stop bringing up his college accomplishments.
  19. Theres NO WAY Mallett will be there in the 2nd. I'll bet that Newton, Gabbert, Mallett and Ponder/Locker will be gone in the first. Leaving us Ponder/Locker or Dalton in the 2nd.
  20. Noooo...its spelt MAMMA. And what makes you think I live in Buffalo or in that state even?
  21. Nice. Bustin out the mamma jokes. Well played.
  22. If they're serious about getting a franchise QB, then they better do it in the first round.
  23. That would be awesome. I'd be thrilled to have Dareus or Gabbert.
