WR Buster Davis signs with Bills
DreReed83 replied to Frostbelt City's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I told u guys we' re running a 7 WR set. 3 offensive linemen (Bell, Wood, Levitre) and running Johnson, Evans, Parrish, Nelson, Easley, Brad Smith, and Spiller on the outside. U guys dont see what Gailey's doing here? -
Who else loves the white helmets?
DreReed83 replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The best feature of the helmet is the stripe that runs down the middle. Pretty smart design IMO. -
38 tackles. 0 ints, 0 sacks. 1 FF....yaaaaaawwwnn

I like both. And thats what a true fan would say.

If u take a QB in the first round, u expect him to start as soon as possible. The fact that he couldn't unseat an average QB that was on the trade block tells me he sucks. And from what I've read, it's not even close. He sucks so bad that they had to take Orton off the trade block. Maybe this will make it more clear for those that can't read between the lines... Could u be any more wrong? http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/jim_trotter/08/01/broncos-quarterbacks/index.html?sct=nfl_bf2_a4 Orton was taken off the trade block because Tebow sucks so bad that they needed a COMPETENT QB to start the season. here appears to be a mile-wide disconnect in Denver. Most fans of the Broncos want former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow to be the team's starting quarterback. No matter how well Tebow practices and plays. No matter who else the Broncos have at his position. No matter how well the Broncos fare on the field. No. Matter. What. A lot of fans want the media to stop talking and writing about Tebow. Caught in the middle of all this are the Broncos, a team trying to rebuild from last year's 4-12 season with a new coaching staff and a lot of new faces on the roster. ... Tebow hasn't been the Broncos' best quarterback at training camp. He's behind veteran Kyle Orton, and the gap isn't small. The Denver Post

This is just to get the fans excited. Nothing to get overexcited about. Let the play do the talking ON gameday
-
It's training camp. I'll believe it when I see it in gameday.

No, but drafting well and picking up key players for nothing does. The Eagles have one of the best front offices in the game. Hands down.
-
Torrell Troup and Michael Jasper stopping the run? THat's assuming he even makes the team. You're jumping the gun a tad too early. Wannstedt coaching them up? I didn't know he was a Dick Lebeau. Is he a defensive guru? Terrence McGee and McKelvin being totally healthy? When healthy, they're both average CBs and McKelvins been a BUST. Aaron Williams? Has he done anything in the NFL? Give me a break.
-
Does it matter who I want? We wouldn't get him anyways because our front office is either inept or is just cheap, or even worse both. So why does it matter who i want or who u want?

Starting to look like an NFL front 7
DreReed83 replied to eschej13's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Suh was the catalyst on the field. yes. But ask any one of those guys who the LEADER was on and off the field, it was VANDEN BOSCH. Dude that was almost 3 years ago. I don't care what he did 3 or 10 years ago. -
I don't hate this move, but I don't see how it helps this team at all. IMO this is not an improvement over Poz and it isn't a downgrade either. IMO Poz was just an average LB that did nothng special which is what Barnett is NOW. I'm still waiting for those FA pick ups that will help IMPROVE this team. I have yet to see it. I mean, look at our free agent pickups the last couple years. Have any of them done anything for us? THeres always that ONE FA pick up that every one gets totally stoked about during the offseason. Look at Jeff Posey, Derrick Dockery, Kawika Mitchell, Dwan Edwards, Shawne Merriman, Marcus Stroud, Terrell Owens. Have any one of these guys impacted our team in any way shape or form? And its the same old SHT every year. This year's Nick Barnett. hallelujah !!!! You guys can buy into this GARBAGE. I'm not blind and I'm not buying into this. You guys can believe this defense has improved but I'm not. Sorry that I don't share your enthusiasm for being an average defense.

Vanden Bosch made more of an impact than just sacks. He was the catalyst on that defense. I am drinking the Lions kool- aid when it comes to their defense. I'm talking about the improvement of their defense. Lions were i think 5th or 6th in the league in sacks this year and that number will sure to go up with Fairley in the mix. Louis Delmas is an up and coming star at the safety position and they resigned CHris Houston. It doesn't take much to improve a defense. That's my point. If the Lions can go from almost dead last in sacks to almost top 5 and dead last in defense to the middle of the pack in overall defense in one season. Why the heck does it take the Bills over 5 years to make these adjustments? -

Sanners is probably one of those kids that said "Randy Moss signed with the Patriots? He'll do nothing. Look what he did with the Raiders." Meanwhile he's catching 23 TDs in a single season. Yea, what a has been. Its amazing what good coaching can do to a player. How did we improve our defense? I don't get it. We let Poz go and got Barnett who's a shell of his former self. Improvement over Poz? Not really. Shawne Merriman? You guys act like he's going to be his former self and get 7-10 sacks this year without even seeing him play the last 2 or 3 yrs. Chris Kelsay, Andra Davis and Moats? And you guys sound like this is an improvement from what we had last year? U want to see improvement? Look at the Eagles defense now. THATS IMPROVEMENT. Look at what the Lions defense looks like. Getting Vanden Bosch, getting Suh and Fairley. Picking up Corey Williams. THATS IMPROVEMENT. They've managed to address their problems over a year or 2 and they've improved already. We sign a bunch of has beens who can't even finish a full season and we're already look like an "NFL front 7?" Lay down the pipe people. I;ll be waiting for you guys here when the season starts. And I'll be here listening to your constant whining and btching about how we can never improve this team. -
Why would they cover a team who hasn't been to the playoffs in over a decade? Why doesn't ESPN cover the Pittsburgh Pirates more than the Yankees and Red Sox? Dam them all !! Give me a break dude.

Are the eagles the team to beat?
DreReed83 replied to Defend Greece's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lesean McCoy, Maclin, Vick, Desean, DRC, Asante Samuel, Asomugha, sheeeeeesh. This team is STACKED. one of the best front offices in the NFL by far. So jealous. -
Now is the time to go after Crowder
DreReed83 replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's done nothing in his career. Except his verbal wars with Rex. What's he done on the field? NOTHING. -
I'll believe it when I see it. Our OLBs better be able to create pressure around the edges. I know we'll get some pressure up the middle but when it comes to edge rushing and run defense, I'm still skeptical.

Fixed for you. Our LBs are still average at best. If Merriman can return to his former self, then we're improved. But I highly doubt that's going to happen. HIGHLY doubtful. And Moats better start in front of Kelsay. The only time Kelsay should be allowed on the field is at DE when we go 43 You're DELUSIONAL. Haynesworth and Wilfork? Haynesworth "SUCKED" with the Redskins because he was miserable, was umotivated and wasn't trying. You think that'll happen with Belichick? Nuh uh. And Ochocinco? Sure, he's been average the last couple years. That's what happens when you have an average QB and a below average team. Just wait til he steps on the field with Welker, Branch and Brady. You can knock their offseason moves all u want, but theres a reason why they're ALWAYS the team to beat. I give respect where respect's due. -

No thanks. His mouth is bigger than his game. I'd like someone who yaps less and plays a big game.
