Im jealous. I've never seen a Blackbird in person, but seeing and touching and inspecting one is a bucket list item for me.

As an aerospace engineer, this still blows my mind! The SR-71 flew on the walls of my childhood bedroom, above plastic models of the same design. The Blackbird is still the sexiest machine ever created, to me! With the advanced design tools we have today, I cannot fathom creating such a masterpiece with paper, graphite and a slide rule. Thank you indeed Mr. Merryman, because there is no way I could do my job without your contributions to technology. My TI-83 still never leaves arms reach. RIP

Right on! My two year tech school associates degree, and my passion for my field has taken me a long way. I am the luckiest man I know in that regard. I am making good money, doing what I wanted to do from age 5 on. Drawing pictures of airplanes ? Unfortunately, my kids have no such passion.

This is why I have not owned a computer in more than 12 years. Until I have my own IT department to maintain my machine's updates, security, etc, or the computer manufacturers include that lifetime service for free or minimal cost, I'll be stuck on my smartphone. Funny how AT&T and other phone services/mfgs seem to keep my little pocket computer up to date and virus free. Why can't the other computer makers?
