  1. Is drag racing a thing in WNY? It has always been huge in OK. Tulsa was a premier strip back in the day (nowadays, not quite). I spent many weekends, years ago, at the track with my dad - midnight drags weekly, nationals yearly, and everything in between. I have close friends on the drag bike circuit. I've watched Street Outlaws religiously for years and there are a few NYers on the show. Do you dig the 405 boys? Do you like insane accelleration?
  2. I sold 12 boxes of chocolate bars in the third grade.
  3. Nope. Mauna Kea is the Tallest mountain. Everest is the highest.
  4. I had this for the first (and only) time summer 2017. My buddy had something like , idk, 50 pounds of blue crab flown in to Tulsa. It was quite an experience for me on a couple of levels. First the whole newspaper on picnic table thing. Second, I had never been involved in a black family reunion. Third, I learned what soul food is really all about. It was a blast, and the food was awesome. My buddy moved back to DC last summer and has offered to fly me out for a similar feast. I have not taken him up yet - he also wants me to build him another deck, lol.
  5. That would be entrapment if an official offered that service, no? But since it's an informant, its gotcha.
  6. I watched that movie last night. Funny how coincidence works.
  7. You are soooooooo good looking.
  8. You are hurling through the stratosphere at incredible speed. Put on appropriate clothing. Every passenger should be made to wear a flight suit.
  9. I am very happy for you.
  10. Progresso, or Chunkey.
  11. Aint no NFL sized man gonna fit in no F-18. Even Peg's Lear 45 would be an uncofortable ride for a large man.
  12. Buffalo, baby! Living in Gotham would be a nightmare. And yes, I would have said the same in my younger days.
  13. Same here, but add in Street Outlaws. I am currently watching every Beverly Hillbillies episode. Love it!
  14. there are a few old HP calculator users in my office. Their key entry is bass akwards to me. I am impressed though, that their 40-50 year old calculators are still functioning like the day they were new
  15. I like techno, so that is kinda cool, but not really. Perfect for a tribute to Mr Merryman, though! Good job Promo!
  16. Im jealous. I've never seen a Blackbird in person, but seeing and touching and inspecting one is a bucket list item for me.
  17. As an aerospace engineer, this still blows my mind! The SR-71 flew on the walls of my childhood bedroom, above plastic models of the same design. The Blackbird is still the sexiest machine ever created, to me! With the advanced design tools we have today, I cannot fathom creating such a masterpiece with paper, graphite and a slide rule. Thank you indeed Mr. Merryman, because there is no way I could do my job without your contributions to technology. My TI-83 still never leaves arms reach. RIP
  18. I need to watch that movie again. One reason I check this site so often is for the crazy tangents that lead me to memories and educational opportunities.
  19. Buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo. Look that up young grasshopper.
  20. Done. Rivermen is my fave, but it sounds Southernish, LOL. I hope that helps.
  21. If you have changed the question, I may change my answer, but when I clicked the link again I was denied because I already answered.....
  22. The more Okies, the better! We are a hearty, handsome, hard working, honerable breed. (Think Uncle Jed and Jethro)
  23. The question was Which name do I feel most strongly about, not which one I liked or disliked the most (Cataracts, really?). I felt most strongly about my dislike. Not sure what you're after, but I answered the question as I understood it.
  24. Things that suck, for $800, Alex.
