this is not a knock on gailey but i thought his greatest asset was adapting schemes to "fit his players". so why do we keep dropping kelsay into coverage when clearly his only strength is stopping the run??? couldn't agree with you more maybe i missed something but i don't remember seeing mckelvin out of position once this year...which is more that i can say about florence....plus he's had like 4pbu's at clutch times!

it's hard to judge when there is no pass rush and the opposing qb has all day to throw...revis and his cloned brother would be getting burnt in our backfield. the way the jets blitz you have about 3-4seconds to get rid of the ball. Our corners are forced to cover for about 5-9 seconds(hypothetical #s).

it just seems like a waste. the secondary is the strength of this team and i believe the two "Mc's" could shut down any receiver(given that there is pressure on the qb). keep byrd and whitner back and blitz the rest!!!

I was born in Buffalo, but now live in "eagles country" so I don't make it to training camp or practices anymore, but prior to the season I was watching practice/training camp highlights on OBD and it seemed like he was making huge plays with all 4 quarterbacks (brown being the 4th at the time). I know that it was just practice, but he was one of the few wrs to make the highlight reel on almost a daily basis. So to make a short story long i have 2 questions..... 1. did he have a shot to be the #2 reciever this year (talent wise...i don't mean was it an "open competition") 2. is he still on our roster??? I agree but at this point he is not even listed in the top 100 draft prospects (maybe it's just because he hasn't declared that he would come out in 2011 draft...too early) so possibly he would be available in the third round. Rd 1: Mallett Rd 2: OT ??? Rd 3: Pryor maybe trade back into the second and get some type of pass rushing LB or DE its sucks that we're only 3 games into the season and already looking to next year with any luck the line will come together, a #2 receiver will emerge, and someone steps up in the pass rush dept. hopefully we are a one franchise qb, ot, and lb away from being competetive next year. (could be done in one draft assuming we pick correctly)

is kawika out for the whole season?????? i know that he was injured but never really cared until i saw ellison and maybin get pushed around like school girls out there

I agree about our defense- no pass rush whatsoever. (i think i actually saw brady sitting on a lounge chair at one point) I agree with you about Offensive line there were definately guys worthy of taking in the draft b4 Wang (however, with the exception of Green they do seem to be improving though). but when it comes to the quarterback i don't think anyone other than bradford was nfl ready. gailey and nix knew exactly what they had in qb which is 3 backup qbs. after bradford the rest of the qbs are backups (with the exception of claussen starting last week). we would have wasted a top pick on qb only to end up with another backup qb

Tennessee's Peyton Manning and Washington State's Ryan Leaf have a chance to change that. They will go 1-2, or 2-1, in the April 18 draft to the Colts and Chargers, two bad teams. So who is better? Manning vs. Leaf is the hot debate of this year's draft. In the last three weeks, the Daily News polled a coach, GM or personnel director from 25 teams. The question: If you had the first pick, would you take Manning or Leaf? An overwhelming 20 said they would take Manning, three went for Leaf and two declined to give an opinion. "If there is a more impressive guy in the country than Peyton Manning, I would be shocked," Bucs coach Tony Dungy said. Bills GM John Butler would take Leaf. "He takes some hits and can buy extra time with his exceptional strength," he said. "He can look off people and get it done. You like the big, strong guys. It's a tough game where you take a lot of punishment." Some of those picking Manning said they were just more familiar with him than Leaf. The bottom line: Manning may be the best-prepared quarterback to ever come into the NFL. He absorbed football through his father, Archie, and has a coach's understanding of the game. He's the safe pick with big-game experience and has a better chance to have success right away than Leaf. Leaf is more physically imposing with a better arm; he's unshakable in the pocket, an aggressive, confident player who may have more long-term upside than Manning. Both, though, could be starters as rookies.
