Have you seen Alabama's passing distribution?

    here I will show you.

    https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/pi/shareit/KYHLK

see 4th on that list? that's a TE that put up 700+ rec yards.

see 2 through 5? they all have around 40 receptions.

see number 1? has 1300 receiving yards.

there is no need to make excuses.

he could be great, we will all wait and see!

just stop making excuses for grown men. they don't need you to defend them.

Understand the point you're trying to make, but don't follow the logic.  Looking at Ole Miss' pass distribution, 72% of the passes went to the top 2 receivers and 85% to the top 3.  Knox saw less than 8% of the receptions.  If passes were distributed more evenly - as you demonstrated that Alabama's were - then Knox also could have pulled in 750 yards on 40 receptions.  The argument about pass distribution is valid.

So........the OP is worried about adding a slot receiver when Josh Allen has issues with his short to intermediate passes ?.   Other than that he is happy with the direction the Bills are headed and thankful Beane has had the patience that has been required to build it.   That's better ?.

    Now THAT'S a summary.

It’s absolute Blasphemy to suggest this aloud. TT was fabulous as a blocker and pass receiver and was from the 1st day he stepped on the field. He was was a 4X NFL Leader in total yrds from scrimmage and was cheated out of 1st Ballot HOF but made it his second year of eligibility. Marcus Murphy appears to have finally blossomed into a fine back.

    in a word: No.

I was in no way trying to compare the two, Jesus.  I know nothing about Murphy and was simply asking if he has the skill set to play a similar role.

Same role on smaller scale?   So same or different?    Absolute no from me on the question in the title.  Murphy maybe could be someone like Kenny Davis.  He really should not be compared to a hall of famer

A lesser Thurman.  Same role, less yardage.  We really haven't had anyone else who could do what Thurman did and Shady likely will not be around much longer.

  5. Going back to his college days it seems that Marcus Murphy has served as a versatile utility back.  He'll never put up similar numbers as Thurman Thomas, but does anyone else think he has the skill set to play the same role on a smaller scale?  I think that with Murphy, one more good receiver (if nobody emerges from the current roster) and a solid OL, the K-gun offense is reborn as the J-gun.

    A man can dream, right?

I'm hoping that Coleman becomes one of those Bills players who somehow resurrects their career in Buffalo. There is definitely some talent there,... but man, that was an egregious drop!

Agreed, but Stevie Johnson dropped a wide open game-winning TD pass in OT.  I don't think that defined his career with the Bills.

  7. Not realistic, but here's the "no QB" option it gave me:

    Pick Player Pos College
1:12 Quenton Nelson G Notre Dame
    1:22 Calvin Ridley WR Alabama
    2:21 Nick Chubb RB Georgia
2:23 Chukwuma Okorafor OT Western Michigan
3:1 James Washington WR Oklahoma St.
    3:32 Brian O'Neill OT Pitt
    4:21 Shaquem Griffin LB UCF
    5:29 Jack Cichy LB Wisconsin
    6:13 Lowell Lotulelei DT Utah
