Interesting Peek at Life in NFL
FitzShowUsYourTitz replied to WotAGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good read. Hated the thought of the Toronto games when I read this..... “The Bucs’ place down in Tampa. That cannon goes off and those fans go crazy. I mean, it’s loud . . . especially when they’re rocking. You want to play in that kind of atmosphere. It’s boring when you’re playing against a team with a crowd that’s out of it. You do that, and at some point it’s like you’re just trying to get through the game.” Just not a real Buffalo game in Toronto. But you know the Ralph is up there when we are winning..... -
Oooops, read this part first: Bills WR James Hardy looked out of shape on the practice field at Buffalo's recent round of minicamps. Hardy blamed his lethargic practicing on offseason sports hernia surgery, which prevented him from working out for an entire six weeks. We're not doctors, but that seems like quite a long time to recover from a surgery that players can return from in a matter of 2-3 weeks during the regular season. Hardy continues to drop on the depth chart and shape up as a bust. Source: ESPN.com Here: http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playernew...t=NFL&rwr=1

Why is Gailey so High on Bell
FitzShowUsYourTitz replied to box0life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Please get a clue of what coachspeak is all about. What is he supposed to say??? What do you think he said about our group of quarterbacks?? If asked about the D-Line, what kind of answer do you think he would give?? What do you think Lindy Ruff says about his team going into a season??? um, a, all I can say is WAKE UP??? Is this your first offseason in the league?? -
OH NO YOU DIDN"T!!! Great post. Also, do some on this board not understand what coach speak is??? Like when Jauron (or any other coach) says: "we really like the players we have." Or when Chan says "We like our QB's and feel like one of them will emerge as the starter" C'mon it's coachspeak. What is a coach gonna say??

TIME TO DROP THE SHOUT SONG!
FitzShowUsYourTitz replied to milehiLou's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now there is a song that Old Ralphie can get his grooooove on to! It's no wonder we still got it playing at the Ralph. -
TIME TO DROP THE SHOUT SONG!
FitzShowUsYourTitz replied to milehiLou's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OMG. Please get a new job and move out of your parents basement. If you have people visiting your "office", errrr bathroom to hear that song, then I am not sure who is worse you or them. C'mon now. The song does not represent any winning tradition. It represents drunkeness and people getting rich off you paying $8 for a watered down beer. Beer. MMMMM Duffs!! MMMM -
TIME TO DROP THE SHOUT SONG!
FitzShowUsYourTitz replied to milehiLou's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would have to agree....And it was never a great song. Sure when you're winning you scream for any song but.......WHY DOES IT SOUND LIKE IT COMES OUT OF THE WORST SMALLEST TRANSISTOR RADIO FROM 1960 every time it's played??? Get rid of it!! -
Got 2: When we beat the Raiders in the 51-3 in a playoff game. WOW! What fun. What a blast...when the game was never in questions and we just pummeled them from start to finish. Also, went to a playoff game with a friend who's dad was a lawyer for the Bills. Had great seats to a game vs the Jets (1988). We won the division and the fans tore down the goal posts. We just sat back and reveled in all the fun. Good times!! Ahhhh! The good old days when fans could run onto the field without getting tasered or trampled by a horse!!!!!!!! <I got the best story ever for a Sabres Game. I hesitate to write it because people would not believe it>

If Thigpen is cut, Gailey will pick him up
FitzShowUsYourTitz replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think when you are rebuilding they will always look to upgrade. None of the guys on the roster were picked by Nix/Gailey so if Thigpen or anyone else becomes available, then why wouldn't we add some talent to the roster. It's not like our 2nd, 3rd or 4th stringer is any better prepared or was drafted by the current regime. Just saying it is easily possible. -
Offensive Line Rankings

Damn you Reality!!! Why did you have to go there??? (But they are high-motor, high-character guys that play with a mean-streak and eat/sleep football) -

Time get get TO back for a reduced salary
FitzShowUsYourTitz replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is it possible TO would turn us down if we offered??? Not saying he would, but I think it is reasonable to think he may turn us down (in which case, we would probably never hear @ it). If it were in the off-season, he may say..."I'll wait to see if a better offer comes around". I'm not saying, I'm just sayin'... -
I live in VA and hate the Redskins but your analysis is right on!! One of the smartest thing I have read on this board in many years. One could argue that losing (FIRING) Bill Polian was one of the worst sports decisions in history. Worse than the RedSox getting rid of Babe Ruth. Why? How long was Babe Ruth around for? How many years/decades has Bill Polian been winning? Which job is more difficult?? To be a superstar and perform as a player OR to build championships and lead organizations to Super Bowls?? Look at Bill's track records....After taking us to 4 Super Bowls he went on to Carolina and the Colts. Took Carolina to NFC Champs in 2nd year as expansion team, Then built the Colts and of course us. Gettting rid of Polian would be worse than getting rid of Peyton Manning but ..... We have one wining season in 10 years. Pathetic! One could also argue we might be better off as an expansion team with Bill Polian at the helm than where we are now. Ralph Wilson has a history of making PATHETIC decisions. IF we really have 4 losing decades out of 5, with the one being Polian at the helm than I am utterly disgusted. Don't believe the hype!!!!!!!! With that said I am optimistic we are on a good track now but who knows what the future holds with the ages of Nix and Wilson. Good times! Go Bills! I will ALWAYS be a Bills fan but I think we need to all keep our eyes open to reality and the facts.

more "sick of the jets"
FitzShowUsYourTitz replied to dwight in philly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I defecate in their general direction!!!!!!!! Hail Monty Python!!!! -
Yeah....come to think of it. How about the last couple of off-seasons? Getting rid of starters right before the season. Crowell, Langston Walker et all. I mean, NOT a good sign when STARTERS are departing right before the season begins. Crowell left on his own. But still just weird scenarios and not good omens. Funny thing is.....I love how some on this board kept sayin....first..."Well Peters is a cancer", then Walker wasn't that great...we have fill in the blank __________Bell________, and he's a high motor guy or is a gym rat. Damn...I could just read buffalobills.com myself and blindly follow too. Hers's hoping Chan the Man can change things....But realistically it will take another year/draft minimum. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

more "sick of the jets"
FitzShowUsYourTitz replied to dwight in philly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well. If you want some constructive criticism instead of entertaining sarcasm...Here is what I got......I am sick of people complaining about this or that, when it comes to media and the Bills...or any other team for that matter. Bottom line is: Just F-ing win Baby! You think when we were going to 4 Super Bowls in a row and we had REAL talent like....Thomas, Smith, Bennet, Kelly, Tasker, Talley, etc etc etc.....there was little whiny bitches compalining that the media doesn't give us enough attention??? C'mon now. We have sucked for 10 years! One winnign season of 9-7. Pathetic. Shut up and win. Nothing personal to you. I do see the bias all the time. But if you play sports...and you lose a game. Don't complain about the refs...Score more f-ing points than the other team. -
Getting back to the question.....Who remembers all the hold outs of Bruce Smith?? Was he a head case? Prima donna?? Just my humble opinion BUT...WINNING changes everything. Remember the bickering Bills? Bruce's holdouts?? If your winning = NOT a big deal. Your a loser team....and it's get rid of them all. Similarly, Lots of folks complain that the NY Jets get all the newz coverage...Or maybe it's the Pat's. I say..who gives a BLEEEEEEPPP. Just win and not much else will matter. <rant done!> Good times!

Didn't Joe Montana win a superbowl
FitzShowUsYourTitz replied to Logical Reasoning's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
um....let's see......When was the last time a great quarterback needed a fan to write a list of reasons he should be starting. If we had such a great quarterback, there would be no reason to write up a list to convince us, he would simply be starting. Oh, and comparing Trent to Joe Montana is just ridiculous. C'mon now Homer. -
Darth, Nice comment. Most people don't have a friggin clue. All they can come up with is statements like....."If they paid me XXX amount of dollars to play a kids game, I would shut up and take it like a man. Not many can look outside of their own box. Good stuff.

Just caught this on rotoworld..... Bills coach Chan Gailey said Wednesday that rookie OT Ed Wang's high ankle sprain was not as serious as initially believed. "His injury was not as serious as maybe we had first thought," Gailey said "(Wang) has a chance to be back by the last minicamp." This is good news for a Bills team working with perhaps the worst offensive line in the league. Source: Aaron Wilson on Twitter http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playernew...t=NFL&rwr=1
