I love the enthusiasm around the draft on my part as well as watching people go primate poop like the O.P. This year there is a potential for what might initially appears to be a bust to turn into something great, so don't despair immediately if the first couple of picks stink. It's been discussed, and that's: all supporting cast, in preparation for a tanked season a la Indy, so that we can get the franchise QB we need next year. I'd be pretty happy with three great non-QB picks round 1-3 and a QB next year. IMO, none of this years QBs will turn this ship around in one year, so you may as well learn from Indy and build an actual team. Draft well, then lose out, then draft well THEN you've got a franchise that can win even in Toronto. Ok... now you can blast me, I've taken cover.

Tweets from Bills practice = AWESOME!

He's my favorite new guy as well. I hope to see him deliver more hits like the one at FSU where he wrongly got ejected because of the rather than for doing anything illegal. -
Bills officially sign QB Kevin Kolb

While my posting that image and the accompanying comment was intended to be sarcastic, this guess does resonate with me. -

You guys are doing an awful lot of blathering about not much of anything. This picture is all I need to be stoked about the Bills this coming season: -

Running back rule passed....

Is it (The tackle box) only behind the line of scrimmage? Could a running back be 20 yards down field and lower the boom if he's between the hash marks? How far down field does the tackle box extend in this context? -
Lucky had nothing to do with Indy getting the top pick. It was a decree from on high that they would lose as many games as they needed to to guarantee the top pick. (Pretty smart business decision, but horrible sportsmanship) Manning being out was their excuse, but Indy without manning was still way better than many teams that drafted after them in 2012. It may be unscrupulous what they did, but I would find a way to cope if Buffalo had decided to tank last year to get the best QB in years without having to lose draft picks to get him.

Can we see what we have in TJ? [Tarvaris Jackson]

We will not see T.J. this year. Chan has realized that if a they lose all of their games on purpose, they can get Andrew Luck... -
I dislike the Colts, but WOW... No call on Luck hit

Any thoughts on the guy leaving his feet to hit the QB high after he got rid of the ball? -

Luck definitely earned a bit of repsect from me from the play in question, as he didn't get in the refs' faces or wave his arms and throw a tantrum. He merely straightened his helmet out and got on with the game. -
I don't know if I will ever get over the poor sportsmanship that lead to the Colts losing enough games last year in order to draft Luck and not have to sell their souls in the form of draft picks to get him. Regardless... I can't believe that nothing has been made of an illegal hit to Luck's chin during the Pats game. It was such a blatant foul, and it was replayed several times. The Pats* defender got pressure on Luck. He got the ball away. The defender then leaves his feet, and hits Luck in the Chin with his helmet.... no flag. Not only was there no flag, but the announcers in the booth talked right past it with each replay, not even acknowledging the blatant foul. Furthermore, I haven't been able to find any video to link to. This REALLY irks me, and I will say again, I really dislike the Colts organization. Did anyone else catch that, or have a link to the hit in question?

Take it a step further... if a franchise QB is entering the draft next year... you do what the Colts did the last two times they drafted quarterbacks, you purposely throw away the entire previous season to make sure you get your man. This eliminates the need to have to trade up. you get to keep all of your picks allowing you to draft a good supporting cast. You get your franchise QB AND the first pick of each round to help him out. Plus you keep all of the next years picks as well. It's not rocket science, and it's proven to work well, as long as you know what a franchise QB looks like.

Great post. Thank you. I was doing OK, until one of the replies mentioned Luck. Does the mere mention of Luck going to Indy make anyone else's blood boil? i personally think, that Indy would have made it to the playoffs even without Manning had Luck not been there for the taking. I believe they threw the season to get Luck, and it really irritates me. A team that's as bad as the Bills have been, loses out to friggin' Indy when a great QB is at stake.

Isn't it Gannon that insists on taking the AWE out, and putting the OW in OW-fense?

Well, if you're asking who I voted for it was Kyle. I think he is a monstrous vat of kinetic energy which spills over affecting those around him. This line being stirred up by KW foaming at the mouth is going to be really exciting to watch. I guess I figured the original post wasn't asking for my version of the list but rather based on the posted poll which did I feel was the most important to the Bills success this season. In response, I cast my vote for Kyle.

The Bill Curtain (Williams, Williams, and Dareus)

How about, "The Border Patrol"? What with the Toronto games, it seems to work... no? -
So using the logic of the third rounders get what's left in the cupboard after signing the 1-2, 4-7, UDFAs... wouldn't the teams that pick on the top half of each round have way less money left in the cupboards than the teams that picked in the bottom half of each round? If so, the round 3, pick 1 would get paid substantially less than round 3 pick 30+ due to less left over.

So let me back up a bit and emphasis that I understand how little I have to go on, and am just sharing what my gut feeling is, which I acknowledge is based on nothing of substance. That's why I said I can't put my finger on it. It is possible to have gut feelings that are right and gut feelings that are wrong. I am simply sharing my gut feeling on this guy and indicated that I would in fact stop back to eat crow in the event that he proves me wrong. Excuse me for engaging in some manner of conjecture, and asking what other people we're feeling, rather than what list of facts they have. Can't posts be about things other than fact? ADDITIONAL THOUGHT (Edited to remove snarkiness after catching up): I'd also suggest that Graham is not happy with what is left in the cupboard for him...

I was actually coming here to post a question about how you guys are interpreting the lack of a T.J. Graham deal. I am not overly optimistic about his character for some reason, and I can't put my finger on it. I feel like he's going to be the biggest source of disappointment out of this year's draft class. Some picks may not make the team, but those will likely be late picks that we don't have great expectations of. I see T.J. being an arrogant under producer. I REALLY hope I am wrong, and if so, I will come back and post a crow eating apology.
