  1. Didn't SJ break his back swinging a rope in conditioning last offseason?
  2. Two serious sets of questions: First: How could one aspirate while intubated? Is the outer diameter of the ventilator tube less than the inner diameter of the trachea? If so, then how does the chest rise when the ventilator pumps air in, rather than air just rushing out of the trachea around the tube? Wondering how barf ends up in ones lungs while a tube is in his/her breathe pipe. Second: Is there acid in an empty stomach? If so, it seems like antacids would be a smart idea before a surgery to diminish potential lung damage should aspiration occur. I'd rather have to deal with chalk lung over acid lung. Thanks!
  3. I don't care how many preseason games there are, I just hope that there is someone dedicated to coaching EJ on how to rifle the ball with some mustard on it, rather than choosing between timidly feathering select passes and running for the sidelines. If we can see him throw with decisiveness and purpose for a series or two and not getting injured I would be happy. Hopefully they use the extra game to decide who gets cut rather than playing starters. Also I needed to test drive my new, new JK avatar.
  4. New updated avatar...
  5. "No Tom, you're balls will remain in this bucket until you are worth as much as me."
  6. Brady for sure, but then after him it's got to be ...... kidding. Peyton. There is so much he could teach... I wish he was a Bill.
  7. If I remember correctly, every time he made a tackle, he snapped his forearm.
  8. In regards to suggestion one, which I like, mostly... What about the chance that having a Steve Tasker type burning down the field at the punt returner, bringing with him the increased propensity for the returner has to poop himself a little and potentially muff the catch? Would this rule change nullify some of the benefit of having a Steve Tasker on your team? (teams would get away with holding, him preventing him from inducing pants pooping and catch muffing)
  9. Exactly. I would never consider Sunday ticket today because I decided it's not worth it to subscribe to any cable or dish. It's too expensive for what you get. I can get what I need over the air in HD. Anything else I'll get on demand one way or another without needing to pay a hefty monthly fee regardless of whether or not I turn the TV on. That being said, I'd strongly consider Sunday ticket if it wasn't bundled on top of a monthly cable or dish package.
  10. I don't like SAS personally, however he pretty much says he's clueless but based on what he's heard he's surprised. I don't see the problem with that. The other guy blasted him and the Bills but not so much Smith...
  11. ....yes...
  12. Takeout... I tip a few bucks most of the time but often feel dumb for doing it. I almost feel like the person seeing me tip them is like "...dumbass... he's really gonna tip me for stuffing that bag for him?"
  13. "Don't move, I think I just saw my engagement ring!"
  14. I never really liked Fiath Hill, but I can't stand her ever since I saw THIS. I watched this on TV and remember thinking what a #&@^%#&^ she was: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyZRiEJnIag
  15. I can appreciate that. I was remiss to not articulate my perspective better. That sentiment was my knee jerk reaction to calls for Kolb to play over getting EJM experience. I love seeing this point made. I've made it many times myself. It was a giant example of horrible sportsmanship that was rewarded in spades. I hate that they were able to do this without getting called out every step of the way.
  16. You don't build a solid team in a year. I'll be happy to see wins if we get them, but will be happier watching a horrible season like Peyton Manning's 1st season unfold if there is progress being made by a QB with great potential. I'd take that over watchin Kolb bring us a few more wins and remaining mediocre for yet another decade. 3-13 season seemed teach a young Manning a lot of lessons. It's not like they are deciding between playing Favre or getting Aaron Rogers in the game. It's friggin' Kolb or T Jax, neither of which are worth withholding experience from EJM.
  17. I don't care about winning games this season. I do care that they take steps to grow the QB with the highest potential into something great. Put him in and let him take it all in. If we really suck this year, we'll be back at the top of the draft order next year.
  18. Well executed post. Bravo.
  19. NO! Sorry but that isn't a thing.
  20. Well, I may be ignorant regarding how rookie contracts work, but I am going off the assumption that the contract a rookie QB drafted at 8 will receive, may end up at higher than what you want to pay a backup qb. Also, the front office may be worried about the perception if they use a # 8 for someone that they dump after 1 season in order to take another shot next year.
  21. Great point about the rookie cap! It would be a shame to pass on a better player at number 8 to take a chance though. I am still working with my shrink on my bitterness towards the Colts organization, and I think sometimes it comes out in my posts. Thank you for helping to inject some sound thought into my sometimes biased logic.
  22. I'd say DO NOT SETTLE for any of this year's QBs... Once we draft one we are stuck with them for at least a few years even if they stink. Having them will prevent the team from getting a better one next year...
  23. Not this people. I know that this year the QB options are considered to be rather...meh... Last years was amazing, and the Colts were prepared to suck to get what they wanted. Now they are set for a decade. We've had crap QBs since Jim Kelly, and have to keep drafting more. It's time to stop settling for mediocre at this sports most important position. Next years QB class is supposed to be much better than this years'.
