  1. I think most of the experts would agree that the McBean combo has been great. Can't argue against it the results speak for themselves. We're 9-3 going on a 2nd playoff birth in 3 years ... yes, that's the Bills we're talking about lol. Only thing left to do is see where the ceiling is and how long they can sustain success.
  2. They say he's as tall as an oak tree and as thick as one too. Men cower before the thought of the giant beast galloping toward them in their dreams.
  3. @RochesterfanI have that scenario in there...it's the last one I mention in the TLDR section
  4. Just to make a really clear summary of how unlikely it is we win the division: 1. We are currently a game behind the Pats. 2. Last games for each team: Bills - ravens, steelers, pats, jets; Pats - chiefs, bengals, bills, Phins. 3. As we can see, if we win out we will at least tie them, if we win out and they lose to the Chiefs we win outright, and if we drop the Ravens game but otherwise win out and they lose to the Chiefs we tie again. All scenarios require us to win at NE which we never do, and even then we may still just tie. 4. So, lets assume we do gain a game on them and tie. Now it's tie breaker time and those go like this: -head to head (we would be tied) -w/l in division games (we would be tied) -w/l in common games (we lose b/c we lost to both the eagles and browns...both of whom the Pats beat) -strength of schedule (we almost certainly lose unless chaos across the whole league breaks out last month of season) SO, as we can see, the only realistic way to win is to win the division outright by record which means we almost certainly need to win out and beat the Ravens and hope the Pats also lose another game (most likely the Chiefs)...OR drop the Ravens game and hope the additional game the Pats lose is somehow the final game against the Dolphins giving us the second tie breaker (divisional record) before we get to the third tie breaker (common opponents). TLDR version: It won't happen unless we either win out completely and the Pats lose another game in addition to our game (most likely the Chiefs); or go 3-1 (not losing to the Pats or Jets) and the Pats lose to the Dolphins. PS: Rereading this after posting and wow, it is pretty hard to make a "clear" anything when talking about all of this lol. Hey, I tried. -
  5. The same teams are still good every year, for the most part.
  6. I would be more entertained if you both but 10k on the line...personally
  7. Daboll doesn't call the deep throw. He calls a play with a deep throw option. Allen is the one who throws it. Half the time, the guy is open and he misses. The other half he should have just gone elsewhere. As for Kroft, he is literally invisible. He sucks. Singletary is a fine point but I'll stand by our overall balance on principle. The split between him and Gore needs to change and we could run a bit more for sure...but in general spreading it out and throwing it more is a good thing for this team and we shouldn't think otherwise just b/c Josh isn't getting it done. Ground and pound won't work just because Singletary has space to work with within our current scheme. Get him another 5 touches game by sitting Gore and keep the defense in nickle and spread out.
  8. A few thoughts about your thoughts, in the order in which you presented them (which of course, was not particular order to begin with): 1. Agreed. Josh was bad today. Not his worst game of the season but not good at all. 2. IMO it' more execution. Daboll isn't perfect and there are a few head scratches as there is with any play-caller but he gets guys open and there is opportunity. Josh is making him look bad. 3. See above note. Daboll isn't that bad. Those guys have space to work with when we make these plays. 4. No comment. 5. Not a great point to address after defending Daboll but we were down most of the game and the truth of the matter is our Oline isn't that great. The passing game opens up our run game. If we pounded it like Rex he wouldn't have the efficiency he has. That said, he needs over 10 a game from now on for sure. 6. Tre is great. 7. Goal line stand was fantastic. 8. Mayfield does not look very good but does look better than Allen. 9. I refuse to comment on punting. Even when it is good. 10. Today's loss was soul crushing and puts us back in desperation mode. If we lose to an improving Miami team on the road next week, which is possible, we will be in full meltdown mode.
  9. Out of juice. Lets get him over the line for his record, treat him with respect, and use Singletary as much a ***** possible lol
  10. In fairness, the entire point of this thread was how important this game was...so of course I would not have made it had we won today. Not sure what your point you are trying to make.
  11. Allen could easily be going to the bench next season. Agreed though, he's the only one who is going anywhere (hopefully, the bench). The others are fine, McD does a good job and Bean has done a very good job (minus the QB pick/trade). Even Daboll appears to do an OK job.
  12. Bills problem in a nutshell: QB is not good enough to consistently apply pressure on the opposing team throughout the game and often hurts us. /topic /season
  13. Did the process include trading up to to draft another bust at QB? If we cut right down to the point that's really what everything we talk about revolves around and it's just obviously the truth now if we are honest with ourselves...this isn't 1985 it's 2019...you know what's up with your QB pretty quick. We know what's up with ours--we need a new one. We have a QB that can't pass. He's ok at throwing it hard though...at least there is that!
  14. Not going to complain (in this topic anyway) about all the specifics that were so wrong with this game but the short of it is that today really highlighted all of our shortcomings in 1 game and resulted in us losing against a bad football team. Sure, the Browns added talent but they showed exactly why they don't win today very clearly and we basically out-Browns'd them anyway. So, to put in context how important this loss was to us: @Miami - Almost beat us at home recently and plays much better with Fitz at QB. We'll probably win but could easily lose. vBroncos - 50/50 at best...odds are the Broncos beat us. They're at least good enough to beat the Browns. @Cowboys - Obvious loss vRavens - Obvious loss @Steelers - 50/50 at best, not a game we are likely to win on the road. @NE - Obvious loss v.Jets - Again, we could easily lose. Probably win though. Bottom line is we're looking at a 9-7 records assuming we take care of business against Jets, Miami, and spit with Broncos/Steelers. We have to do that AND either sweep the Steelers/Broncos match-ups or beat one of the vastly superior teams (Ravens, Pats, Cowboys) to get to 10. Today was a terrible loss. 6-3 for now but the cakewalk schedule is about to heat up.
  15. Tough loss, didn't have to be so close if Josh Allen was any good. Speaking of which, why do the mods delete any topic critical of Allen?
  16. Plenty of room to win this easily if Josh was good at all, but he wasn't. Numbers don't much matter either. As it is, we still could have won if Hauschka makes it kicks..but we'll never have a good lead with Josh playing as he does he's just not a good QB.
  17. A solid stadium wall would be mostly critical IMO. If I can't B word about the Bills I don't really need an internet forum...
  18. Twitterverse "doctors" suspect surgery and serious time out. Possibly season. Hense why the Bills may go to the AFC Championship game lol
  19. This injury may be opportunity to meet the Pats in the AFC Championship. In one world we play the Texans on the road and then travel to KC then NE. Now, maybe we get the Texans then Raiders (or vice versa) then Pats. LOL. This is called thinking ahead. But even with Josh Allen at QB we could string together wins over the Texans and Raiders.
  20. I can't read through the whole thread to see what was discussed and I won't bother mincing words here or worrying about being classless....this injury may be really good for us and opens some serious doors come playoff time.
  21. Steelers game is going to be very tough as will the Ravens. Browns also probably a tough game for us. Lots of tough games to come we will do well to win half of remaining games but we should be able to win half and that would put us in the playoffs.
  22. That shot of the crowd was nuts, half the stadium is Steelers fans
  23. If we could get AJ Green, Von Miller, and Trent Williams we could possibly make the superbowl. Of course, Allen would probably still piss the season away with god awful QBing but at least we would have a shot to overcome even his shittiness.
  24. It's 2019 I have no issue with Dabboll throwing on first down. Josh needs to stop throwing to the other team. I find it refreshing that Dabboll's attitude is that we're going to run modern offense no matter what...about time.
