  1. Only time will tell. His problems were more than mechanical though, so he has a lot to prove. He has more to prove than Cassel.
  2. Meh, our defense is top five no matter who you ask and our starters at skill positions are McCoy, Watkins, Harvin, Woods, and Clay. I don't see how you can't give an A unless you refuse to on QB alone...which is unfair to any GM. It does help Whaley that he's handling EJ the way he is though (not sinking the team, bringing in competition etc.) I mean, D-line and offensive skill is off the chart. Everything else (other than QB) should be solid at worst and good otherwise.
  3. Whaley still wants a Vet WR? What? I actually kind of like Greg Jennings...but the Bills in no way need Greg Jennings.
  4. I think Sal is pretty much the best WGR has so we should cut him a break.
  5. Nobody asks those kind of questions lets be honest. This isn't politics. That answers would be obvious anyway: "working hard, blah blah"
  6. Martin out of league Incognito in the league That did not take long. Every year I hope we do hard knocks. I'd love it.
  7. OL is a huge problem for a team with our QBs. Combining this OL with our QBs and expecting those playmakers to produce isn't smart. This is the last huge hurdle for our team. We won't win with an average OL...even w/ this D and those playmakers.
  8. ...and the Clay enthusiasm has passed....we now have Gragg and nothing else
  9. Looks like Percy will either be a Bill or a Patriot by the end of the week.
  10. Supposedly he's visiting Buffalo, including looking for houses (which may be just for show), and expects an offer sheet tomorrow. Cleveland is also expected to make a serious push for him, and the 'Phins can always match. Pretty sure that's all there is. I wouldn't expect anything new on this front until the weekend at the earliest.
  11. Clay is an upgrade at TE but it isn't like landing him fixes the TE void now and forever. Don't let perfect be the enemy of good they said...now is our time to push for success so whatever. I would be more excited over some additional OLmen touted to be truly solid.
  12. Agreed. People forget how unbelievably good he is when healthy and plugged into an offense. We wouldn't have to lean on him either. At a price we can afford, he would put the offense talent over the edge. We do still need another 2 OLman, a TE, and a few Rex filler-picks on D. If we can do all of that...go for it. I mean, with Bob Woods, Percy Harvin, Sammy Watkins, and Charles Clay running routes and Shady running behind what will hopefully be a good line....I believe even Matt Cassel could have success.
  13. Board police, nobody cares. I'd rather have 2 or 3 topics on and issue than a single million page topic anyway. BTW, is this off topic?
  14. Bills should roll into the contract a guarantee that 5+ games will be played in New York state.
  15. bring in 2 more on the OL, a TE, and some cheap filler Rex randomly wants for the D. Then draft freely.
  16. Not a great blocker but probably ideal for both parties. The Jags have unbelievable cap space and it is Julius' time to truly cash in. He will make their offense more capable of scoring than they were before.
  17. The way I see it, this is our window. Don't let this D fall apart. Keep Hughes.
  18. I like our CBs but I don't trust any of them with a true #1 on an island. Gilmore will grab people at the line but if they get by him it's over.
  19. RB is important to this team, more so than to the average NFL team I think. It's ok to have more $ tied in that position than most teams.
