  1. You are watching the Pats want to run the ball up the middle, unable to do so, but still able to function, with a terrible QB. This is basically magic. Great coaching. Obviously a huge part of it is the Texans--and Brock in particular--sucking tonight.
  2. Why would they trust Brissett? They were smart. They had a few nice plays here and there abut ultimately they had only 1 nice drive that resulted in a FG. Then they had Brissett make one nice TD run right after a fumbled KO return (where the defense was blown and the ocean parted). Pats will grind out a win here b/c they're smart. Texans are imploding. It would be a different game if the Texans offense wasn't already submitted by the Pats D.
  3. Our next 2 games are against, IMO, the clear cut best 2 teams in the league.
  4. Well then, at worst, Bill understand the how to win the NFL in 2016 and, therefore, can identify and hire coaches who do also...and also can make sure the Pats don't build a team that isn't suitable for winning. In some ways, he's getting the most value out of his roster of 10 years than any coach ever has.
  5. Pats bullet points: -Bill is a fantastic defensive coach -They got Brady -They invest heavily in offense, and Brady support staff (both football players and coaches) -Bill makes lemonade out of the defense when he has too, b/c he can and he supports the offense like a rational coach -When Brady is out or things are bad, they still have the stable infrastructure of a modern offensive scheme, talented guys familiar with it, and an adjustable defense with a good coach All of this allows them to game plan to win each week. If they game plan correctly and play well they have a chance every week, no matter what. We suck.
  6. We should hire McDaniels, keep Whaley, and see what happens. Don't let McDaniels draft QBs would be the only condition, and generally let Whaley keep doing what he's doing. McDaniels can spot a few FAs.
  7. I voted yes, as any good owners should be when they have a losing team. Once you have a Brady/Belichick combo in place you can fade into the background, but right now they have idiots running things and should get all up in there so they're ready to make a better hire this offseason.
  8. I agree, the Patriots are hated twice over (at lease twice over). But I always kind of like rooting for teams when they run out of QBs. Hope they lose but I'll laugh with glee if their QB makes good plays.
  9. Guys I like to see play: Steve Smith JJ Watt Allen Robinson Gronk Fitzpatrick Antonio Brown Almost all rookie and/or unknown thrust into spotlight (curiosity factor) I would happily give up a 3 right now for Enunwa. If I could have him in practice with the Bills Monday, I would pay a 3.
  10. Not a fan of the copy? Sometimes my friend, you copy.
  11. So, I can see disregarding individual advice on players. It is football after all. The value would be in shaping a more general direction. Overall strategy. What is it that the team sees as its strategy to compete year in and year out? What do the Bills believe about how to win in the NFL? It just boggles my mind the Roman firing and start of the season. I'm fine with the firing an happy Rex has been forced to distance himself from embracing a lack of modern offensive propensities, but I don't get the Pegula's snap reaction. Were they not paying attention when the hired Rex and throughout last season? Do they, and perhaps Whaley as well (personally I never thought Rex was Whaley's hire), have any kind of lasting strategy for competing? PS: Also, I assume everyone on this forum is smart enough to know Rex was forced to fire Roman. And sure, they're the Browns so who cares. He's only been there 1 year though, so we'll have to see. Based on what I know about that guy though, I have a hard time imagining him hearing a guy talk about building the entire team to pound the ball and rely on its ability to stop the other teams from scoring and then recommending that the team hire him and build a team that way.
  12. I see a lot of posts here referencing Bills analytics, usually sarcastically. Do we really have high-level guy that looks at the game like that and is also influential in our organization? For example, DePodesta (Jonah Hill from moneyball) is the "chief strategy" guy for Cleveland as of January. I ask b/c the discussion lately has been a lot about ground and pound v. passing league. I would assume that a team with an analytical strategy at the top would probably not have hired Rex and Roman in the first place...
  13. EJ needs to go. There are multiple QBs available every year that are better than EJ (and that's saying something).
  14. Having the same number of starters, but a higher percentage of them being UDFAs, means that you suck at drafting more. Just want to point that out.
  15. I think Richie is my favorite Bill now. Lots of other good ones, of course, but Richie is a great signing I hope he finishes what is left of his career as a Bill.
  16. It was stupid and wouldn't work that way either. I hate to say it, but Urban Meyer could coach this Bills offense better than our current staff.
  17. They lined up ready to play the Tyrod they faced in practice 2 years ago. Then they did.
  18. Very early? If we lose to the Jets if is over.
  19. Here: http://us.blastingnews.com/sports/2016/09/bills-receiver-marquise-goodwin-says-he-will-prove-doubters-wrong-in-2016-001104279.html
  20. If anything like this happened to Tyrod all in one game we would be out of our minds on this board. Also, Tyrod would be dead.
  21. Can you guess the top guy from 2015? These are your top 10, who made the most? It's real dollars taken home from football, so no alternative income taken into consideration and taxes are factored in. Only check link after you vote (unless you have no honor). http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25423804/agents-take-the-real-highest-paid-players-of-2015
