  1. The craziness has really taken over. Hunter has AJ Green's body, but Hunter has sucked--which is the reason he was available.
  2. Rex really needs to cook up some sort of magic stew for the next several weeks on defense if we're going to win. It really doesn't matter who plays QB, we need to be prime Rex...walking around pre-snap, looking crazy and totally without order, and yet getting pressure and having our cover guys right where they need to be somehow.
  3. If anything I added another round just to be safe...it is widely accepted that the first 4 rounds are the valuable picks...when you get to 5+ it starts to get dicey. To truly invest, you take someone in rounds 1-4...look at what happens when teams trade and you will see this is true. The purpose of the topic is to talk about how we have not invested in the WR position. Citing a bunch of 6th and 7th round picks is irrelevant for purposes of the discussion...
  4. As BuffaloHokie has already pointed out, Naker and Sakman cannot read.
  5. Panned out or stuck around a while? I shutter to think what it would look like to put a list of WRs that went after these guys together.... Not really though, and I don't really mean that as a fair statement. But the point stands, we haven't invested in a passing game. We haven't had a passing game.
  6. Can Reggie Bush take the field with Shady and split out and go in motion a bunch to add to the passing game?
  7. Do you know how ridiculous that statement would be if you said it to anything other than a forum full of Bills fans? What if I cherry picked the 6 best games for ODB and extrapolated?
  8. Damn, that was an absolutely epic, stellar, amazing, jaw-dropping WR class. It's hard to argue value on Sammy even if he was healthy and all-world for us...which he was not.
  9. Also, while I would never argue any QB we've drafted over the relevant time period is any good, I would argue that it would be hard to tell. We've been drafting like a Rex Ryan team long before Rex Ryan was our coach.
  10. 2015 2 Ronald Darby 50 CB 2016 2014 4 Ross Cockrell 109 DB 2013 4 Duke Williams 105 DB 2013 5 Jonathan Meeks 143 DB 2012 1 Stephon Gilmore 10 DB 2012 4 Ron Brooks 124 DB 2011 2 Aaron Williams 34 DB 2011 4 Da'Norris Searcy 100 DB 2009 2 Jairus Byrd 42 DB 2008 1 Leodis McKelvin 11 DB 2008 4 Reggie Corner 114 DB 2006 1 Donte Whitner 8 DB 2006 3 Ashton Youboty 70 DB 2006 4 Ko Simpson 105 DB Actually 14 CBs, so more than double. Picks are listed here: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/draft.htm
  11. Whaley almost certainly could have killed the EJ pick if he threw a big enough fit. Who the hell lets a guy that has announced his retirement already make the picks in a draft and select a QB #1 overall? With that said, the narrative is that the last draft was Buddy Nix. At least half of that is probably true. I haven't seen Whaley draft any QBs so...I'm not really sure it was his pick to take EJ in the 1st (and 1st overall QB taken). A lot of Bills fans and media often talk about how the team finally has talent and/or is more talented than it has been in a long time and I agree. I'm not willing to throw him away just yet....but the Rex Ryan match wasn't good for him and I knew that at the time. If he got with a good, offensive minded HC, one that also has experience, I think it would click and they've already got a decent core to build off of. We're still 1 more good WR and 1 more QB away from being damn talented when we're healthy. But yes, WR depth is terrible.
  12. Year Rd Player Pick Pos 2014 1 Sammy Watkins 4 WR 2013 2 Robert Woods 41 WR 2013 3 Marquise Goodwin 78 WR 2012 3 T.J. Graham 69 WR 2010 4 Marcus Easley 107 WR 2008 2 James Hardy 41 WR First off there are only 6 of them, and secondly it's bust central. We deserve this.
  13. Hey guys, guess what? WE WON THE OFFSEASON! Great move going so defensive heavy (with guys that also aren't playing lol). I like a lot of what Whaley has done and usually defend him but it's a tough pill to swallow this time. We have freaking nothing left.
  14. LOL what is this topic? You have to actually tie before tie breakers come into play. A win is important to getting the tie brotha...
  15. In all fairness, if you watched the game, Carson Palmer played terrible today. We had good pressure and played well with the ball in the air (thank God), but Palmer was terrible.
  16. If TT was doing anything week 1 we would be talking about a decent start the season minus 1 freak meltdown against the Jets in the secondary. With that said...we look like we are not so good. Even after today nobody should be sold on anything. Today probably wasn't the day to see it w/ all the injuries...but we need to show the passing game can carry us when we need it.
  17. Nothing on offense looks good but the defense is playing well.
  18. Do it by geography to maximize visiting ticket sales and keep time-zones aligned for tv purposes: EASTERN CONFERENCE North: Pats, Bills, Jets, Giants East: Eagles, Steelers, Ravens, Browns West: Falcons, Titans, Panthers, Redskins South: Dolphins, Bucs, Jags, Saints WESTERN CONFERENCE East: Bengals, Colts, Bears, Lions North: Packers, Vikings, Chiefs, Broncos South: Texans, Cowboys, Cardinals, Chargers West: Rams, Raider, 9ers, Seahawks http://therichest.imgix.net/2013/12/nfl-fan-map.jpg?auto=format&q=90&lossless=1&w=1490&h=785&fit=crop
  19. He's got a lot of positives that we all know about, but does seem to have a few red flags. Maturity problems, work ethic, on-the-field discipline. I would pass on Chad.
  20. Once the season is officially a disaster we could put Cardale in there. We're not there yet (although we're full speed ahead in that direction).
  21. If BB is the Emperor then obviously we must hire McDaniels.
