  1. At this point in time, it's extremely uncommon. I mean, yea....it's not the only way it happens. I'll give you that. But c'mon now...I've seen countless people I know get into it...I see all the people at local music stores...I've seen the way people who teach lessons work...strumming Free Falling on your imitation strat is the way to start! lol
  2. Toms the most retarded poster on the board and nobody here including him could possibly dean me in guitar. There may be players that are different than me and experts in other areas that don't interest me but I'll not be "deaned." lol If you say you learned to rock classical jams finger-style before you learned "rhythm playing" then all I can say I don't believe you or in the alternative that makes no sense.
  3. BYU's honor code is functionally moot. Sheer hypocrisy in it's arbitrary and impossible enforcement. It isn't an honor code. It's nothing. It's just meaningless words used to justify....outrageous conduct on the part of the school such as this that would be tolerated nowhere else.
  4. By all means learn what you want but if you truly are completely new....finger picking technique is not typically where you start.
  5. There are countless Dave Matthews lessons on there. All acoustic. All really fun to play, all sound really good, all nice jams, all the perfect combo of a challenge yet doable (with work) for a beginner/intermediate. Type in "How to play ______ by Dave Matthews" and you'll get someone that knows what they're doing and teaches it well. Start with maybe #41 or "So much to Say." The reason I recommend it is b/c there's a lot of them out there, most are good, and it introduces you to some interesting chords and "moves" which is invaluable when first learning and setting your base up. It will teach you to play the hell out of the thing and not just play chords/songs...it will teach you to "really play"...w/ a little funk/style ect...
  6. Frozen Thin Mints narrowly eek out the peanut butter ones. Anyway, girl scout cookies have taken over the world. It's ridiculous how they are sold now. Can you imagine telling...say...your grandfather to go peddle cookies at work by shaking down his co-workers? He would smack you.
  7. This is ridiculous and I hope BYU is destroyed in the media for this and their entire athletic program and maybe school in general falls apart. The hypocrisy off this is of the chart. I agree this seems racially motivated at least at first glance.
  8. wow Have to assume this is cash flow issues? That he isn't broke? Right?
  9. Small countries? Just start w/ Iran and Russia.
  10. I wonder how much a 7 gram rock of pure Sheen-grade Bolivian powder goes for in LA?
  11. Meh, who cares. Nothing surprising or new in that article.
  12. at least there was a nice picture of downtown there
  13. I'm pretty much on board man. I agree Perkins is huge for the Celtics in the playoffs and Robinson was exactly what you said he was, " a burst of energy." I don't get the move...but then again I barely know who these guys Celtics got are. Personal taste though I love Robinson and Durrant and would like to see them rise in the West and I hate Celtics so I'm happy.
  14. "I'm so tired of pretending like my life isn't perfect and bitching....and just winning...every second. And like I'm not perfect and bitchin', and just delivering the goods at every freaking turn. Because look what I'm dealing with man, I'm dealing with fools and trolls. Ya know?"
  15. Dude great move by OK City. I love Nate Robinson. I'm glad he's off the evil Celtics now I can fully root for him. Perkins solid pick up too.
  16. Fajita burrito w/ barbacoa, sour cream, extra hot sauce, letus (no beans)...that's my jam at Chipotle.
  17. I'll bet Toney didn't realize that through the TV.
  18. James Toney better pay his electric bill b/c Marcellus is about to shut out his lights!
  19. I've read horror stories on these things. Maybe I should wire ajzepp money and have him do it for me.
  20. LOL, first time getting one of those calls? They're never "sales calls." If someone cold calls you and starts off with "this is a sales call" they will be unemployed soon. Not saying that guy won't be. (but he probably won't lol). Anyway...the question "Is on Demand available for major TV networks" is actually a super loaded question and no matter who the service provider is the answer is always "sort of, kind of, sometimes, what shows?" The licensing for the On Demand material is far from static.
  21. We also have super bad ass laser beams in the near future that will just shoot any missile out of the sky. http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2011/02/18/navy-breaks-world-record-futuristic-laser-getting-real/
  22. We almost literally haven't had a tight end for a decade though. Why not bring him in? If he's washed up so what...and we might as well wait until he opens his notorious mouth about being above us before we start to resent him for it.
