  1. It's simple. Stop playing the 3-4. We would then have talented lineman across the board starting in positions where they can destroy people and we would have some real bulk for depth. We really have 0 proven good LBers any how regardless of how you think certain people can play in certain schemes so this would also eliminate one position of need there.
  2. Take Bowers. Dude could be special. He has the most potential to electrify our defense and that's what we need. He can rush the passer with power and speed and he plays the run well to he holds the gap and plays with strength and discipline. Also, trade of Albert Haynesworthless and make him good again.
  3. Davis played great for us in spots this year. My opinion.
  4. Here's a good break down of Bowers against a good Fla. St. line that controlled both Florida and South Carolina (two SEC teams/defensive fronts). Florida state has ponder out so you can see Bowers control his guy and contain rush well, as opposed to just flying out of control. He lines up in all different spots too. He makes a few great plays including an insane interception.
  5. Well I don't know what's up with the 3-4 if it's for sure our only thing or what but we still have no LBers so I don't understand insisting on running it exclusively. But Williams would be a beast of a 3-4 DT if Dareus or Fairley went in the middle. Bowers would be a MUCH MUCH welcome addition to our pass rush and would play the run hard opposite Merriman also. We have to stop the run which Dareus may help us the most with. But we need to rush the passer which is Bowers forte. Fairley seems to be able to help out w/ both... The more I think about it though we may have to hope Troup and Carrington get more stout and go w/ them and Williams and S. Johnson inside and take Bowers. This guy has speed and power, and is a possible 10 sack a year guy who could also play a mean OLB opposite Merriman. If we want to become the next blitzing 3-4 team...putting Bowers next to Merriman and hoping the bulk we got last draft pans out seems to be the way to go correct?
  6. In terms of actual production this year: Fairely (has yet to play bowl game) TOT SOLO AST SACK 55 31 24 11 Bowers TOT SOLO AST SACK 67 41 26 16 Dareus TOT SOLO AST SACK 33 20 13 5 Ndamukong Suh (last year in college) TOT SOLO AST SACK 82 47 35 12 Mario Williams (in 2005 coming out of college) TOT SOLO AST SACK 57 28 29 14 Bowers seems to be incredibly productive from the DE spot and Fairly has an impressive amount of sacks and tackles from the DT spot working in the SEC... Bowers is had a better season in the ACC than Mario Williams ever did...
  7. Yeah, Quinn looks like someone we need to stay away from. Wide loops to the QB speed rushing the likes of Duke and Virginia...Maybin 2.0 if you ask me. Not as much stuff on Dareus as I'd like there to watch...Fairley looks great. I could get excited about him. He looks the best to me. Bowers looks better than Quinn but I wouldn't say I'm completely sold. Fairley looks like he could have an impact immediately. Stick him next to Kyle Williams....then w/ the second and third round continue to take LBs...
  8. Good Survey Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoTunLl9nJ4
  9. Marcel Dareus 6'3 280lber out of Alabama
  10. Robert Quinn 6'5 275lber out of North Carolina http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuKdkjZf5uk
  11. Da'Quan Bowers 6'4 275lber out of Clemson (DE) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozvQFebV5PQ
  12. B/c of the absolutely retarded limitations of this forum as far as number of media files and/or quotes in a given post this split up over multiple posts... So we have: Nick Fairley 6'5 300lber out of Auburn (DT)
  13. Bump. IDK....any more thoughts?
  14. Where the hell did these "myths" come from? Never heard any of them....
  15. IDK I don't follow every ****ty team that picks top 5 a lot but I'm still seeing some guys I wouldn't like on our team in top 3. Tyson Jackson, JaMarcus, Vince Young, Alex Smith...there are some other guys I'm not sure who they are. Anyone...I agree this has flaws to point is to just look at the names (w/ help from the stats) and realize it's still a crap shoot. That said 50/50 is odds I'd take for the Bills. Better odds than we've had in the past the way we pick. Either way...these are the guys that have gone top 5 since '04...it's a damn good list...but it's not some all world list...and if I did up one for 6-10 I'm not sure it would be any worse or better....
  16. Ok...below I've pasted the top 5 picks since '04 and their 2010 stats (for the front 7 D players...do your own homework for the offensive players and DBs) as well as the Bills stuff. I'm not entirely sure which of the stats reflect today or not...the point is to generally look at the impact anyway. AND...yes they only are stats and don't tell the whole story. BUT...it's helpful to look at. (also...forgive the formatting but c'mon obviously however it pastes is how I'm leaving it...) Some Bills stats I found (IDK if they include today or what so...) Kyle Williams - 74 tackles (52 solo) and 6 sacks Poz - 139 tackles (95 solo) and 2 sacks Kelsay - TACK SOLO FF INT SACK 63 39 1 0 3.5 Stroud - TACK SOLO FF INT SACK 47 28 1 0 3.0 Akin Ayodele - TACK SOLO FF INT SACK 93 53 2 0 0.0 Arthur "don't cross thee" Moats - TACK SOLO FF INT SACK 28 16 1 0 2.5 Spencer Johnson - 47 tackles (34 solo) and one sack 2010 2009 2008 2007 2006 2005 2004 So...to me...in terms of real impact from a glance at just these stats it seems to be about 50/50 for front 7 guys. Plenty of guys in there with respectable sack #s and some tackles but others that really don't seem to be having a huge impact. Anyway 50/50 seems like good odds for our first round picks to me...I'd take it but it's not like we are guaranteed a great or even good player. Tough business pulling yourself out of the depths of defensive hell. And that's assuming that's what we try and do....we may just sit in it for a while longer... Thoughts?
  17. IDK...once I discovered I could drag the shout box to be bigger...I don't think it is. I actually think it's worse w/ the shout box you can keep an eye on the threads too...
  18. IDK are people from the shout box going in the chat today? I think we all sort of have our "clicks" we've been chatting w/ in game...need wide scale migration...
  19. Meh, go ahead and just wipe it out. I'm a Fitz fan/Bills fan and it wasn't that bad. I can't complain about the ridiculousness of this **** and then cry when Fitz gets a little contact. This is football. Good luck Harrison. I actually appreciate the way he plays.
  20. There is no rational argument for beating the Jets back-ups just so we drop 5 spots. We should lose.
  21. ....maybe....
  22. Chargers, Bucs, Saints, and Falcons all comparatively the same as the Jags. The Falcons a little better. Saints are TERRIBLE people just forget that b/c they won the superbowl recently and sort of have a little "hotness" to them w/ Katrina emotions and the team. In time they will once again drop down. The Bucs fans suck, and the Bucs are quietly in worse financial shape than the Jaguars. Chargers fans are a joke, they have an awesome team and they don't care. Not saying the Jags fans don't suck or that they aren't necessarily the worst, but there are many other teams close in terms of shittyness.
  23. Can't expect people to know all that much about us even professional reporters b/c quite frankly, nobody but us watches these games. Nobody.
  24. Look at these! http://www.itsalloverfatman.com/broncos/entry/tebowetheus-unbound-part-1 http://www.itsalloverfatman.com/broncos/entry/the-playbook-abides-tebowetheus-unbound-part-2 http://www.itsalloverfatman.com/broncos/entry/the-playbook-abides-tebowetheus-unbound-part-3 All I can say wow. That may be a little over the top. But I'd love to find some of that for us. Certainly for our D.
  25. Money line! Go Bills! This is our year! (for real though 9 is a bit much I'd consider taking the points)
