Offensive woes - how we got here and where to go from here
dayman replied to KingBoots8's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Firing Daboll won't do anything. We have bad talent everywhere and the worst of all is QB position. Josh may develop but it doesn't look good early on (I know, I know...it wasn't supposed to for him yada yada). OL was unfortunate. WR was front office's fault for not addressing. QB is unforgivable lack of planning by front office and a likely miss on Josh w/ a cost of 2 1sts. I'm ready to tank at this point. Get the #1 and trade back. -
Anyone else thing we should do more designed QB runs/options? We certainly don't have an amazing line or receiving targets but we have a big and fast QB and Shady. Seems to me best bet to create offense this year is get Allen carrying the ball 5 to 10 times a game on purpose. Free up some space down field when we do pass and give Shady a little breathing room to make that first cut he's so good at with the threat of Allen keeping it.

Why does Allen always try to spin to his blindside?
dayman replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allen can see his front side, so he knows it's terrible. He figures, at least if he spins to his blindside, he isn't absolutely certain it's terrible over there as well on that particular play. -
Allen is a budding superstar

Another half to play today but that 1st half was beyond normal rookie stuff he looked like he didn't know what to do. -

Well Allen's first half was about as ugly as it could possibly be...looked terrible even for a rookie. Wasn't handling pressure well, wasn't accurate, and made bad decisions. -

Bring him in. Don't care about the drugs, don't care if it works out or not, bring him in we have nothing to lose. -
He needs to go in, he's not some china doll. He'll get hit and look bad...welcome to Buffalo. Deal with it. Do it again next week and so on...maybe in 3 years things will get better maybe not...either way...he's the QB.

Who are we competing with for the #1 overall pick?

We may be the worst team in 10 years. -
Kyle Williams and Sean McDermott Monday WGR Segments

The modern NFL is an entertainment product. NFL followers are owed some honest insight weekly from coaches and players...it's why they are required to do interviews. To say nothing may work for Bill in NE but he's earned that...the rest should give us something (and btw nobody is more entertaining while saying nothing than Bill...maybe Marshawn but Bill is def. #2). Hell, if they give us trash on the field at least give us some gold in the presser. -

That they have. Did they follow up on that statement or just let that slide? We've lost of a lot of guys that could really help us...the most damaging weren't really decisions and were on the Oline but the WR group is suffering by choice...as is the Dline. LBs always sucked and I guess they did ok w/ the secondary (hard to tell w/ no rush but even there we are missing a #2 CB)...QB is worse but so it goes nobody holds that against them. So is that the truth then? We just say "hey...it's ok we deliberately the WR group and Dline go from not good to trash....and the Oline deterioration wasn't our fault...and everybody was sick of Tyrod anyway and the LBs were always trash." That's basically where we are at. The "whatever" approach to roster building. -
It's great that he made the playoffs but lets not think it was b/c of great coaching. We played pretty bad last year, got lucky in a few games, and barely lucked in to then play the worst playoff game in recent memory. For the Bills, that kind of season is amazing I'll give you that. But it was really just a random fluke that happens to most teams every few years. Says nothing about his coaching ability.

IDK why this board is so up in arms when people say we are the worst? We probably are...either way we are really bad and one of the worst.

McD has been blown out terribly several times already as a Bills coach, IDK why he would panic all the sudden. Losing by 30 points is SOP for us at this point.

San Fran, Cleveland, Tampa, Detroit, Green Bay, lots of places that could really use Shady. Hey maybe we can trade Peterman to Green Bay now that Rogers knee is busted.
