Bengals Release Vontaze Burfict
dayman replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lots of love for him on this board as a pick as he fell and eventually went undrafted some time ago. Might as well lowball him. -
You just listed everything except interior OL. I think we focus on BPA as always with an edge for DE/DL, LB, and OT. If a WR pops up we need to grab him, and we would do ourselves wonder by nailing a great steal at RB late.

Feels strange to have a FO with a specific plan
dayman replied to TBBills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we really just feel that way b/c most of us think Josh had a good enough rookie season and may have a future. Some decent moves this offseason but honestly (I know it's crazy to say it) Doug had some decent moves as well ... we just never really liked the QB situation. -
Would you trade a high 2020 draft choice for AB?

We would be a better football team with him so yes -
Cuts to add an additional 6 Million
dayman replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cut Shady sign Hunt, that's how you save money. Those guys need to be replaced for position and roster size and there are minimum contracts that govern all that. Not saving money cutting them (although Ivory is a bit pricey for what he is). -
Who was GM when Jason Peters was dealt?
dayman replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People can say he was hurt and expensive and disgruntled and yada yada but we knew damn well Peters was great and we let him go. It was stupid. He's had a decade of excellent play since he's left and he's at a position where the money is worth it even you think you overpay. -

NFC Wild Card: Seahawks at Cowboys 8:15 Fox

I browse a few differenct boards and every board is fixated on Aikeman tonight for some reason. Everyone thinks he's hung over or on drugs or something -

note to self: don't pull a hamstring kicking if you are a fatass b/c it looks like you pulled a hamstring just b/c you are a fatass -
Buffalo's reputation amongst free agents
dayman replied to clayboy54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Again, guys, I'm pretty sure the term sheet and relevant teammates (e.g. QB if you are a WR, etc.) is about the only factor unless those factors are close, in which case we lose regardless of facilities. This is a silly discussion. -
Buffalo's reputation amongst free agents
dayman replied to clayboy54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Buffalo's reputation needs to be that it has the best offer financially and a reasonable likelihood of setting you up to play well moving forward. Gregg Eifert sounds like someone that helped his son consider college choices and is out of the loop since a professional agent came on board. That extra hot tub or newer squat rack isn't making the difference. -
2019 NFL Draft: Bills officially picking 9th
dayman replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I thought we could win the superbowl within the next 2 years with Green and Brown I would be all in but absent that it would be a disaster to bring either one in -

Well Fournette, Hunt, Antonio Brown all look to be available. -
Rex Ryan Could Be Interested In Coaching The ‘Canes

He's 58. Weird retirement. He's just done ... one would assume. -
EJ Manuel: What went wrong after year 1?
dayman replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I live in Florida, not one Florida grown college fan (FSU or UF or Miami) believed that EJ was anything more than average. Ever. Doug thought he was far better than loyal FSU fans that wanted nothing more than to defend him/support him. -
EJ Manuel: What went wrong after year 1?
dayman replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
EJ was a terrible pick. He wasn't that good at FSU and it was a bizarre reach to stake the team/executive future on him. Nothing went wrong with his development he was never going to make it. -
DeSean Jackson ready to leave the Bucs
dayman replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like halftime of the opener? -
If he isn't in bad pain and doing serious damage to his body why the hell wouldn't he go out there again next year and take home a few more million. Seems like he enjoys playing and being on the team. The money is excellent and gone forever the moment he stops. I expect he'll be back (provided, again, his body isn't telling him to stop immediately).

Clay told he will be released this offseason?
dayman replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Clay was bad signing when we made it and remained that way throughout. He's a good player without the injuries, but he had the injuries. Also, he was never really worth the premium we paid in the first place. We were never going to get our money out of Clay it was the kind of signing that made no sense ... almost like we thought we were on the verge of being really good at the time (which is, of course, laughable). -
Again people..... This is the first year of a REBUILD
dayman replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Once they get blown out 2 or 3 games in a row and play an average team straight up is good money for the Bills tbh -
Cut McCoy, Sign Bell (edited from McCoy out 6.4M cap)
dayman replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wait for the press to calm down and sign K. Hunt for pennies on the dollar. -
With Allen, I’m convinced he just needs more help
dayman replied to Bufflow4's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I leave the same basic comment in every Allen thread: the dude goes for it. He'll be good if he's in a good situation. Unlikely that happens in Buffalo, but there's always hope.
