  1. LOL. It was never entirely clear what the coaches were letting him do vs. what he just did ... but yes the single best thing about him (other than his running success) is that he let it rip--for better or worse.
  2. I just want to obnoxiously remind people that most of the board did not like the pick and I was telling everyone he would be good. Conversely, most of the board was fine and supported EJ from the start while I sounded the alarm the moment we drafted him knowing it was a disaster. Moral of the story, listen to me on QBs you jokers.
  3. Why doesn't this board have a thumbs down button?
  4. I say draft DK at 9 and stick and him on the outside, with Smokey Brown on the other side, and Beasley in the slot and we have a pretty damn good WR group. We don't need to ask DK to run a million crazy routes. Foster backs them up giving us solid depth at speed for outside WR. Zay can adjust to slot where he will be better and work in with Beasley. Keep another 2 (instead of the usual 1) for competition and cut one of our trademark special teams spots to make up for it. Do that and I think our receiving talent is great. Grab a tackle next and a young RB late and we're good on offense. Fill in on defense where you can but plan to circle back on that next year. DK gives us the size and burner speed we need on the outside to blow the top off and give our other guys space. He'll never play like a Megatron for us but that doesn't mean he isn't worth the 9. Josh will throw him bombs high teams will have to tilt the field his way and he'll run good comebacks and deep outs. Smokey is super dangerous on the other side as well ... our new TE and slot guys should feast. Should open up the run game if we can win at the point of attack to give Shady the second level.
  5. This program is pretty nuts. I've never heard of this and the details are weird.
  6. Pure BPA is an insane way to think about things and of course we would run ourselves into the ground with that strategy. In later rounds is becomes more of thing ... in early rounds you need to value based on your needs/roster. If BPA were something people thought was real there would be no trades ever.
  7. Can you guys help me think through the line? Los of topics about improvements which I agree with b/c we got a bunch of new guys but looking through the wiki for each quickly (since I'm not that familiar with them)...isn't the center the only one guy that's unambiguous starting quality guy? So him plus Dawkins leaving us with 2 confirmed solid Olineman?
  8. Ivory played better for us than I thought he would. Sort of shocked we signed Gore honestly. RB is one area where I think we are a little spastic in terms of the way we are acting.
  9. Lots of love for him on this board as a pick as he fell and eventually went undrafted some time ago. Might as well lowball him.
  10. You just listed everything except interior OL. I think we focus on BPA as always with an edge for DE/DL, LB, and OT. If a WR pops up we need to grab him, and we would do ourselves wonder by nailing a great steal at RB late.
  11. I think we really just feel that way b/c most of us think Josh had a good enough rookie season and may have a future. Some decent moves this offseason but honestly (I know it's crazy to say it) Doug had some decent moves as well ... we just never really liked the QB situation.
  12. We would be a better football team with him so yes
  13. Cut Shady sign Hunt, that's how you save money. Those guys need to be replaced for position and roster size and there are minimum contracts that govern all that. Not saving money cutting them (although Ivory is a bit pricey for what he is).
  14. Allen's biggest problem is he throws so hard our guys drop it.
  15. People can say he was hurt and expensive and disgruntled and yada yada but we knew damn well Peters was great and we let him go. It was stupid. He's had a decade of excellent play since he's left and he's at a position where the money is worth it even you think you overpay.
  16. I browse a few differenct boards and every board is fixated on Aikeman tonight for some reason. Everyone thinks he's hung over or on drugs or something
  17. note to self: don't pull a hamstring kicking if you are a fatass b/c it looks like you pulled a hamstring just b/c you are a fatass
  18. Again, guys, I'm pretty sure the term sheet and relevant teammates (e.g. QB if you are a WR, etc.) is about the only factor unless those factors are close, in which case we lose regardless of facilities. This is a silly discussion.
  19. Buffalo's reputation needs to be that it has the best offer financially and a reasonable likelihood of setting you up to play well moving forward. Gregg Eifert sounds like someone that helped his son consider college choices and is out of the loop since a professional agent came on board. That extra hot tub or newer squat rack isn't making the difference.
  20. If I thought we could win the superbowl within the next 2 years with Green and Brown I would be all in but absent that it would be a disaster to bring either one in
  21. Well Fournette, Hunt, Antonio Brown all look to be available.
  22. He's 58. Weird retirement. He's just done ... one would assume.
  23. I live in Florida, not one Florida grown college fan (FSU or UF or Miami) believed that EJ was anything more than average. Ever. Doug thought he was far better than loyal FSU fans that wanted nothing more than to defend him/support him.
