  1. The Bills dramatically improved their RB situation by using a 2nd round pick that didn't see the field last year and was not missed. Kiko will never be a great MLBer on any defense unless it's perhaps as a weak side ILBer in a true 3-4, which no one really runs anymore. He was born to play WLBer in a 4-3. That being said, Bradham starts over him next year anyways, regardless of scheme. The Bills went from a second string LBer with 2 bad knees to an All-Pro that can pass block. The Bills solved their CJ Spiller question in the same hand shake. I love it. I have no false illusions about the Bills QB situation for 2015. If they can build an o-line and running game going into 2016 with all of their picks, we just might be seeing what a true NFL reemergence looks like. The odds are against EJ, but if the team can run and stop the run, he just might win games, and that is good enough for me right now.
  2. Being decisive is half the battle. The Bills traded a likely backup LBr for a true 3 down RB in his prime.
  3. It's 2015. RBs out of college typically lack pass protection skills. The Bills have a 3 down back that can pass protect now, not a rookie that needs a few years to "get it". Spiller after all this time still doesn't "get it" when it comes to pass protection.
  4. I think that you are giving your ability to perceive far to much credit.
  5. I go to White Cassel cause it's the best...I buy a flame broiled burger when I'm way out West...
  6. Your solution is simple, but not easy. When LBrs simply drop back into passing lanes after crowding the line, you usually don't see QB get far without getting an elbow to the head when they try and slide after a short run. You are also assuming that guys don't find the soft spots in these 8 man zones and that there are plays to be made that are missed. Your solution is for EJ to play college level football. He'll never be a great QB if he can't carve up those soft zones.
  7. That alone would improve the run game by a wide margin. Picking up stunts wouldn't look like such a jail break. Richardson with a few years of NFL strength and conditioning should eventually emerge as a starter. I love it.
  8. Thanks dude. People need a little irony in their diet.
  9. No. I don't think that EJ Manuel is a franchise qb. Unrealized potential is a problem for everyone. "Obviously", everybody can be better at what they do. Perfection is a road after all, not a destination. He does however, have Trent Edwards' disease. When teams rush 3 and drop 8, he hesitates and the play ends up busted or is a check down. Edwards was actually quite good against blitzes and man coverage. The soft zone stuff was his kryptonite. The top QBs chew those defenses up. The lousy ones hold onto the ball and bad things happen. Manuel in his second year should have improved in this area and he regressed instead.
  10. The greatest differentiating factors between RBs are success as pass protectors and their vision between the tackles. Nobody just outruns the good defenses anymore to win games. RBs can all run in a straight line. Their degree of success in helping the rest of the offense when they are not handed the ball means a lot. CJ is a liability in far too many ways, including the ability to stay healthy. At best, he is a 15 carry, spread offense, draw play/ bubble screen out of the slot player. If Sammy was used like that, I think he would outperform Spiller. Spiller should go part-time it elsewhere in my opinion.
  11. ...as Billy Buffalo? Sure, why not? Dancing with the stars will improve the requisite foot work for the job.
  12. Sanchez sucks, but he does have a future as a back-up QB. He is better than Fitz in that regard.
  13. CJ is not a very good RB. His pass protection is garbage and his over all game has not evolved passed his college days where he could just run around guys. Maybe he is a student of the game, just not a very smart one.
  14. I say let the kids be the back-ups. FA O-line acquisitions should be for starters at this point. JMO.
  15. "Have we not met before Monsieur?"
  16. If only Keith can play LB as well as his brother Nick can sing.
  17. A DT that can play the 5-tech would help a lot. None of the Bills current DTs outside of Dareus can do that effectively.
  18. Fitz is a great QB. You will love him.
  19. With Manning and a run heavy attack, matched with the Bills defense, I would assume that the Bills would win the division. Home field advantage for at least their first playoff game would be on the table. The only risk is Pegula's money, and the Bills draft a QB in 2016 anyways.
  20. You have to admit, he was great in Napoleon Dynamite.
  21. Jerry did the right thing.
