  1. I can see Whaley with the cell phone video of EJ's highlight reel and taking a vote from every coach on whether they would start him day one or not.
  2. If Whaley believes that Watkins represents a player that will become All-World, then how could you blame him. I love Watkins and hate the trade at the same time. It isn't a huge issue feeling both ways for me. Players like Watkins make coaches and team mates look better. If and when this organization gets it right at QB in the near future, there will be experienced talent that one hopes will be entering their prime. I think it is time to recognize as fans that the Bills need a major uptick in QB performance, regardless of who that player is. We are all Fred Jackson and Kyle Williams fans because of their leadership and performance. They are ambassadors for the league in every way and produce when hope for many is usually lost. I don't understand having such low expectations for the QB position where fans argue so feverishly about QBs that play like garbage. This team has had nothing but Chris Kelsays at QB and yet who here has ever celebrated his appearance on the final 46 as a DE? It's a terrible cycle of self-inflicted abuse. It is time to sit back until the real Sherrif comes into town and out duels Brady. Sorry, but having a next level defense and a next level QB are what it will take to win playoff games. Anything less is masturbation, hence no Baby. You can't win a Super Bowl through artificial insemination.
  3. If I am Watkins I am on my way to get a haircut. As a fan, I just wanna see this baby I've heard so much about.
  4. He was going to get fired next year anyway.
  5. What you are describing is a handicap. I would hate to be the guy to remove any players name off that wall over a disability. OJ has genuine psychological problems and needs our support. To this day I never pass up an opportunity to hurdle luggage.
  6. Marrone lacks the balls to go for it on 4th down, yet here we are watching him play fast and loose ala Eddie Felson with his own career.
  7. Simpson's name on that wall is well deserved.
  8. The talent on this roster screams spread offense, particularly at O-line. The offense doesn't have maulers despite their size. Nix's perspective on moving Tackles inside has to do with running the spread, more specifically, utilizing wider gaps between linemen allowing longer players space to pass protect against what is hoped to be one less defensive player in the box. A stacked box in those situations makes it far easier to diagnose who is hot. This goes for the receivers too. Another plus is the draw aspect of the run game. This is the only way to get production out of Spiller while mitigating his poor blitz pickup issues.
  9. They call that a business decision.
  10. It is fair to say that they don't lose because of him.
  11. It is quite revealing how Jason Peters still gets no credit for being a superb LT by the usual suspects. The fact that he is playing well after rupturing his achilles (which some posters applauded) is proof that he has been a great long term investment for the Eagles.
  12. I think Lemmy would make a fine coach.
  13. When it comes to a running game and passing game pivoting seamlessly on PA, he knows what he is doing. He is a competent HC who gets results in the run game. He and Jeff Fisher are 2 guys that I've always wished had a crack at the Bills job.
  14. He was going to get fired next year anyways. I see no dishonor in leaving for greener pastures since that is the very nature of free agent football. Loyalty in the corporate world is beyond dumb when you are merely an employee. The man got the last laugh. It happens.
  15. So far Pegula has a fumbling problem.
  16. When considering the fact that no one knows who the next HC is, and that the assistant coaches are only under contract through 2015, there is little reason to think that Schwartz stays in any capacity short of HC. He is as good as gone in my opinion.
  17. This was a smart business decision by Marrone. The odds of him having a winning record next year are slim to none. Now he gets to double dip and parlay his 9-7 with the Bills into another HC gig without the humiliation of getting fired to do so. Schwartz was the real X-factor in going 4-0 against the NFC north. Without his experience against those teams the Bills don't even make it to 8-8. No veteran QB to lean on and no first round pick going into a year that he is likely to be fired anyways. He made the right decision in my book. Loyalty is for suckers. Money talks.
  18. Marrone is a lot smarter than I ever gave him credit for. Bon voyage.
  19. Can we trade Russ for draft picks?
  20. His feet are slower than EJ's eyes.
  21. Bill Polian plus Terry Pegula's deep pockets plus a 9-7 record and a ton of cap space going into the FA period sounds exciting. The intrigue.
