Our line was so bad with TE and JP, if they were behind the 49ers line (full of 1st and 2nd rounders) they would have been a lot better. It's hard to adjust to the NFL with a horrible line

I was born in 1991, I became a fan because my dad would go every weekend to a sports bar to watch the game. I would go with him when I was young just to eat chicken wings. Yeah but they scored in the first seven minutes. And their starters left, if they had stayed on it would have been a much larger gap. Our D did not look nearly as dominant in game then on paper. I am disappointed as well.

I really don't think there is a quarterback controversy, the media really is blowing this out of proportions. I mean this may lead to our advantage, convincing all the idiots in NJ that they should be rooting for the backup quarterback.

You're acting like Merriman has actually contributed to this team. Other than a hefty paycheck and a so called "veteran presence" he has done jack squat.

We lose to the Texans, and beat the Titans. Texans are going to be strong this year, titans still have some holes. But 10-11 seems feasible

How is everyone here so sure we will sweep the fins and possibly the jets? We got swept by both teams last year, neither should be ignored. That being said, the Jets are going to be tough this year, our offense does not match up well against there secondary strong defense. They have good enough of a pass rush which was only strengthened through the Coples pick. Our offense has not gotten much better over the offseason, hopefully this year we wont be injured so much though. Fitz may or may not have been incapable of playing with the rib injury, who knows. Let's just hope our revamped defense can take care of business
