The Difference Between Ben Roethlisberger & Cam Newton
akm0404 replied to BiggieScooby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seriously? I think you have your head in the sand, with regard to how folks in Buffalo would receive a black quarterback. -
I don't like the new conference trophies
akm0404 replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Roger Goodell is systematically trying to ruin the NFL with his "Everything Must Change" ego-driven policy. They're just dumb trophies that look terrible, but it is incomprehensible to me why he'd be allowed to trainwreck the greatest sports league in history. -
The Difference Between Ben Roethlisberger & Cam Newton
akm0404 replied to BiggieScooby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good lord, this board really drips with latent racism sometimes. What President of the United States does Cam Newton most resemble? 1. Barrack Obama 2. Barrack Obama 3. Barrack Obama 4. Barrack Obama -
Funny thing how a group of mediocre to poor players gets rolled, but one mediocre/poor player is elevated with a strong supporting cast. This just in: The Steelers are a good franchise, and the Bills are not.

Absolutely terrible accuracy? Everyone here gets torches and pitchforks when folks call Fitzpatrick inaccurate and he only completed 56 or 57%...

Even Jets fans are sick of Fireman Ed

Haters gonna hate. -
That Reilly piece was a hatchet job if I've ever seen one. Someone needs to ask him to touch the doll where Cutler touched him, because that guy is seriously butthurt. He is a Denver guy, and obviously sided with that joke McDaniels.

So much for the NEED to have a "franchise QB"...
akm0404 replied to McD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Time to face reality: Until the Bills get consistent elite-level quarterback play, they will be an irrelevant, bad to mediocre team. Fitzpatrick = rebuild to 7-9, which is plenty good enough for most Bills fans, for some bizarre reason. -
He doesn't want to get picked by Buffalo. I wouldn't if I were him either.

Like it or not and whether or not the Bills address their quarterback deficiency, they will continue to be at best a below average 7-9 type team until they find elite-level QB play. -
Reasons to Not Pick a QB in Next Draft
akm0404 replied to box0life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why would we want the chance at getting elite-level QB play? Then we'd be a relevant NFL franchise again and would have to lose our lovable loser persona. Quarterbacks aren't important. We can easily rebuild back to 7-9 or so with our bottom-third of the league guy. Also, let's ignore that our offense was actually worse than our defense this year, relative to the other teams in the league. -
Was I wrong in thinking that he was just serving out the remainder of the last year of his contract in Buffalo? Is he under contract for next season?

Fitzpatrick PLUS Williams wouldn't equal a first round pick. You sir, are on drugs.

Truth about Fitz comp % and his accuracy
akm0404 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm surprised it takes 3 pages for people to understand that Fitzpatrick just isn't very good. He has been below average his entire career, and this year was no different. Use your eyes, use the stats, use the team record, it doesn't matter. He just isn't a championship QB. But hey, most aren't, and in Buffalo, all we really care about is rebuilding to 7-9 so we can maintain the status quo. Cheers! -

Terrible, ignorant post from one of the worst posters on the board. -
Truth about Fitz comp % and his accuracy
akm0404 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And even in his miracle season, he still self-corrected himself back to a bottom third, inaccurate, low-rated quarterback. But he has guts and heart! Just doesn't make him that good, relative to the other starting NFL quarterbacks. -
I think you are proving the opposing point of view here. Look at one of the most successful first round RB picks of recent history, Adrian Peterson. With him, the Vikings stunk. Until they got an elite-level year out of their quarterback, and they were contenders for a championship. Then, they lose elite-level quarterback play, and look what happens. Same dominant running back and high-quality offensive line. Same elite run-stuffing and pass-rushing defensive line. Utter failure with poor QB play. Funny, huh?

Playoffs..............How great would it be!!!!!&#
akm0404 replied to WNY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It will truly be a glorious day if the Bills ever return to a playoff game. I just hope I'll be alive to see it. -

Haters gonna hate. I don't get how being called by your shortened nickname somehow makes you a fraud. Nicknamed Ed from Edwin doesn't seem noteworthy, but whatever - all Bills fans have are sour grapes watching other teams win meaningful games in January. -
Predict What Lynch Rushes For Against The Saints
akm0404 replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, take away one of the greatest runs in playoff history, where he strapped his team to his back and singlehandedly won the game for his team, and he was merely average. He won his super underdog team a PLAYOFF game. What a hater. The sour grapes just ooze out from you, sir. -
Truth about Fitz comp % and his accuracy
akm0404 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Two points; 1. The Bills actually had an average rushing attack. The notion that Fitz would be way better if we didn't have an abysmal running game is false. We had a decent - well, for The Bills - running game (18th) and a bad passing game (24th). 2. Claiming that Fitz played in more adverse weather conditions this year than other quarterbacks is false. This year was a splendid year for weather, relatively speaking. Tom Brady, for instance, played in a larger number of weather affected games. Just saying. -
The Bills have no chance at top-tier Free Agents. Same way the worst companies in the world have no chance of having me work for them. Sure, they could offer me a truckload of money - but guess what - we got this way because we don't offer anyone a truckload of anything. The Bills would probably have to pay at least a 15% premium for any player with serious options to come here, and we simply will never do that.
