  7. i will gladly buy his jersey
  8. deep in this link our epic failures are dissected by Peter King https://www.si.com/nfl/2017/08/14/tampa-bay-buccaneers-roberto-aguayo-jason-licht-draft-bust-nfl
  9. The trades make good football sense for a new regime. Having suffered through the decade of fail I wonder how many more reorganizations I'll have to live through
  10. Sammy was supposed to be the great weapon that moulded EJ Manuel into a great QB. I think he's talented but he always felt like a luxury on a team that didn't have its QB position settled.
  11. We are becoming an organization rather than an assembly of players. I feel bad for guys like Kyle Williams who have given us everything year in year out in that he may not be around for the next upswing. Its clear that Beane and Co. are much more developed in their thinking than DW ever was. We are building long term value rather than trying to get a wild card now so that our contracts will get renewed. Maybe Dennison can engineer a 30 TD season out of TT. If there is a franchise QB in next year's draft we're going to land him.
  12. Football probably peaked ten years ago and has no where to go but down. Still I often wonder what would replace it in my life. Like rock and roll it too is fading away Mike Ditka wouldn't let his son play. It will become what boxing is today, the last refuge of the poor and desperate.
  13. Anquan, we are thrilled to have a player of your calibre on our team and look forward to watching you help us get to the next level
  14. spoken like a man deeply invested in hoping the subject goes away
  15. ballpark > $200 a month between fridge beer and bar tabs on average. On fishing trips and Bills games triple that
  16. how many blooper clips during the drought?
  17. intriguing but no mention of his passing stats
  18. if he turns Bortles around he's Coach of the Year but I don't see it. I suspect he'll mask Bortles' shortcomings with a run heavy offense
  19. You're right on both counts. I still didn't like the move because we undermined EJ's confidence for the crime of being blown up by JJ Watt for which he is not unique. Secondly we knew Orton was not going to push us over the top. By trashing EJ to save jobs at OBD just showed me organizational dysfunction. After that EJ was a wasted #1 pick. I don't think he's as bad as that play and were he managed better we may have got some value for him.
  20. Pierre Thomas - Saints Rod Martin - Oakland Greg Lloyd - Pittsburgh Mark Tuinei - Dallas Cowboys Sam Mills - Saints/Panthers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierre_Thomas_(American_football) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rod_Martin https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Lloyd_Sr. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Tuinei https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Mills
  21. If you want to call all of your time you spent watching the Bills over the years garbage time, I guess you are right. I actually enjoy my time watching the Bills. I look forward to it every week. I get it, I want them to win too. But if it's garbage time why watch on Sunday? I have had more fun watching the Bills than anything outside of watching my kids grow up but most of those games the highlights were from we lost I will never believe Orton was an upgrade even over Manuel. If we had told Manuel we still believed in him after the JJ Watt INT things might have turned out differently. Not saying better but we sunk his confidence after that. JJ Watt has sent many a QB into the turf. We didn't need to shame a rookie over it
  22. i agree that Namath should not have made it when 2 time SB winner Jim Plunkett did not
  23. Eric Moulds was the man. Kyle Orton in a stache not so much
  24. I will be the lone dissenter to say I like the signing. It's pure upside
