  1. Sam Bradford's knees will make this happen
  2. some teams have taken him off their draft board for injury reasons http://www.idahostatesman.com/sports/college/mountain-west/boise-state-university/boise-state-football/article209068359.html
  3. If there is a consensus it is that Rosen will fall out of the top 5. While the price of going to 6 or 7 will be easier to digest than going into the top 4, I'd just as soon stay at 12 for Jackson
  4. then I slipped on a bath mat and my foot went this way and my knee went that way. Is Willis McGahee in the house?
  5. Beane brought in Benjamin but Shady is old regime. As we have seen, Beane is quick to dump the last regime's players if he can get value. I could see McCoy being the clincher in a deal with NYG at 2 or the Browns at 4. That's a very bold play for a team with as weak an offense as ours and would make for another gaping hole to fill. Still it's early in the life of this regime and if it gets us our franchise QB it's politically sellable. This is likely Shady's last year as a workhorse back. He's high mileage and our OL looks suspect. That's a low risk deal for what might be our last stab at a franchise QB for another decade.
  6. who wants to room with Zay Jones on the road?
  7. going #2 overall means he's in the Eric Dickerson/Ladanian Tomlinson category. Is it really so?
  8. The hype from building up draft capital is reaching fever pitch and like any good fan I am caught up in it. I think at the end of the day Beane and McDermott will get the greenlight to follow their draft board. However, politically, I don't see how we can go into the season with just McCarron and Peterman. If we can get Jackson without giving away the future I will be ecstatic. My concern is that there will be a rush for QBs with the likes of Arizona and Miami looking to pick ahead of us to get ANY QB thereby driving up demand to nosebleed levels. I'm sure Beane has a plan for such a scenario but IMO either way we will have to overpay for a QB beyond what our draft board would indicate.
  9. I heard Baker has a few under his belt as well
  10. I agree there's no way Elway passes on a potential franchise QB at 5 does anyone question whether Barkley is really worth the #2 overall? That would put him in Ladanian Tomlinson/Eric Dickerson territory. Most of my draft research has been on QBs but I haven't heard anyone say he's a HOF type back. If he isn't then the price to go to #2 for the Bills should not be as high as advertised. I for one don't believe for a second that NYG is going QB with Eli and Davis Webb on the roster.
  11. just once I'd like to hear a prognosticator say "He couldn't hit the broad side of a barn".
  12. worst case scenario is giving up a king's ransom in picks only to get Allen
  13. I think Jackson is the surest thing at QB in this draft. If we take him at 12 without trading up it would be icing on the cake
  14. this is very plausible because it specifies a target
  15. I'll take Lamar Jackson all day
  16. Denver won't trade with us. There's no way Beane hangs his career on an unknown like Allen
  17. it's hard for me to imagine that Ralph Wilson had a spycraft department
  18. if he gets up from a sack can we say he has Rosen fron the dead?
  19. there is the deep state and there is deep football

  21. we need to get a QB this year for many reasons: we have the means to do so NOW our coach is a winner which means we'll be drafting from the bottom this will set up the Beane/McDermott era for years if we get it right without a franchise QB you have to have a near perfect roster everywhere else. With a franchise QB you don't
