His defense is a pet boa constrictor

I've never read anything negative about Josh, not even on this board. He's universally recognized as a franchise QB. He's carrying the heavy karma of the team's legacy and it's a heavy cross to bear but I think he's holding up admirably. It's up to Beane to field a team good enough to beat the Chiefs on a good day. When you have a great QB the rest shouldn't be too hard.

That's awesome, but again, the exceptions - not the rule.
I'm simply saying that you HOPE that whomever we take is good and can become great. But there's no guarantee that simply taking one means you're getting a Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, or Cooper Kupp level talent.
Round 1 at WR doesn't guarantee we've just gotten ourselves one of the best WR's in the NFL - like the names you're invoking imply. You could draft the next Justin Jefferson. Or you could end up with the next Quentin Johnston, Treylon Burks, Kadarius Toney, Rashod Bateman, Henry Ruggs, Jaelon Raegor, or N'Keal Harry level talent.
The only prospects that you can consider "Ja'Marr Chase or Justin Jefferson level talents" are Marvin Harrison Jr. or Malik Nabers. Even they're projections and we aren't sniffing either one of them.
I'd rather see us go defense personally I don't expect a world beater at our draft spot there either

You talk of it as if taking a guy in Round 1 means that's what we're getting. Ideally, we're able to Draft a guy who becomes that. But that's a MASSIVE ask at 28.
Jefferson was drafted at 25 and was WR5. But he's very much the exception, not the rule. And Chase was drafted 5th overall.
I think we should take a WR in Round 1. But invoking the names of Jefferson and Chase are some mighty lofty expectations.

Much of the right wing press made this out as a DC Dems issue of uncontrolled crime near the current Capitals and Wizards venues. I've never heard that substantiated elsewhere.

if you have a chance to get a Justin Jefferson or Jamar Chase level talent on a rookie contract, you do it

the 17 game season means no QB can start every game. If they platoon these guys properly they could have two healthy QBs for the post season and use them in ways to keep opponents off balance

Three months:Boomerang and young lady agree to part ways after she refuses to emulate lead vocalist for the Headpins. You know, the girl who gets her hand caught in the ball return at the bowling alley.

The Headpins are a legit Canadian band

Chuck's Buffalo media career extended well into the decade of fail. When JP Losman made this TD pass to Lee Evans vs the Texans (1:25) Dickerson spoke of it like the immaculate reception. He was a good hype artist who genuinely loved the sound of his voice more than the Bills

I'm all for Beane abusing the stupidity of a dumb owner if it makes us better. David Tepper is going to make Dan Snyder look like George Halas

as someone deeply invested in Mason Rudolph jerseys I'm not feeling too good right now

Between the perverts, thieves, drafting bad QBs and hiring bad coaches the Jags are giving the Bears, Cowboys, Redskins and Dolphins a run for their money as worst NFL franchise.

why do I keep expecting his name to pop up in the P Diddy situation?

He has never distinguished himself even when healthy. I've had him in fantasy much to my regret

Why is McDermott under pressure when it is Beane who broke the bank for Miller and Floyd who have failed to deliver the promised sacks?

If he thought Mayfield had a weak arm I can't wait to hear what he thinks of Tua's popgun
