  1. Don't let your boss know you can multi-task so easily. He'll give you more to do and then you'll really be in trouble!
  2. Just out of curiosity, did they give any insite into how Trent/JP look? Thank you for keeping us updated. It is much appreciated!
  3. I agree with you. Clements is a very good CB playing on a very bad team. However, I still to this day think the niners overpaid for his services. As good as Nate is, I would never put him in the same class as a Champ Bailey. Also, if you go back and look at all the numbers, you will see that the average yards given up per catch by McGee is one of the lowest for a CB in the NFL, if not the lowest. McGee and Greer are good to above average corners who are not breaking the bank here. One of the things that Nate supporters harped on before his release that made me laugh was that Buffalo had one of the best passing defenses in the nfl during his last season as a Bill. What this logic doesn't take into account is that Buffalo's run defense was so porous, most teams didn't need to pass against the bills because they could run the ball with relative ease. This definitely skewed the stats. Anyway, I think Buffalo's corners now are good enough and I'll even go as far as saying I would take Windfield over Clements any day of the week.
  4. Bootlegs, wr's running crossing patterns, woah! For a minute I almost thought you were describing any offense BUT the Bills!
  5. Thanks for the report! Always great to get information from multiple sources. I do get the feeling that these training camp reports are going to spark very heated JP VS Edwards debates but I guess that keeps things interesting while we waiting for the season to start. For the record, I backed JP 100% while he was the starter and now I will be backing Edwards 100% while he is the starter. I beleive they both can be great qb's in the right system and I wish them both nothing but success.
  6. Great! I have two questions regarding Hardy. Does he have the strength/size to beat the jam at this level or does he need to bulk up in a hurry and does he have enough speed to gain the seperation needed to get open between the 20's? Thanks for your help, much appreciated! John
  7. Peter King got all of our hopes up last year when he raved about JP and the 'crisp' Buffalo Offense. I'm trying not too put too much weight on what I hear from camp this season...
  8. My biggest question regarding this topic is wether or not the information we are receiving is accurate. Have Peters and his agent not attempted to contact the Bills on the matter of a pay increase within the last several months, AND, is it the Bill's responsibility to pick up the phone and call Peters if he doesn't take the initiative to call them? What do you guys think?
  9. Hey, one more post and you hit 1000!! Make it a good one man. And for the record, I both agree and disagree with several things that you have to say and I appreciate your perspective on this subject.
  10. Does Evans appear to be 100% and ready to go? Who was starting at LT? Thanks again for your posts today!
  11. LMAO!!! Even though I don't really appreciate the sarasm directed towards the Bills, I gotta admit this post made me laugh. In all seriousness though, are you really a Bills fan? Is there anything that you do like about the team?
  12. Edwards overthrew Evans on a bomb right? If that is the case, at least he is showing he has the arm stregth to put it out there! lol. Picks in training camp don't bother me. It's when they show up in teh preseason that I start to get worried. Hopefully they get more crisp by the day. Thank you for your updates today! Go Bills!
  13. I for one would like to see Peters play at a pro bowl level for an entire season for more then ONE FREAKING YEAR before I go out and break the bank on him. I'll also add to the fact that this guy is still making more money then any of us will ever see and I don't feel one bit sorry for him if his feelings are hurt because other players with more experience in the NFL are making more then he is. Show up to camp, shut your mouth, and earn your pay raise. If he does these things I GUARANTEE he will get what he deserves.
  14. Good post RJ. I remember listening to that game against KC on the radio while Christmas shopping with a buddy of mine and I still remember the excitment I felt when he tossed those short td passes to Early and Buffalo made the playoffs. The funny thing is, even though he had a very mediocre year, I still felt like everytime he stepped on the field the Bills had a chance to win. At least his last year was light years better then Bledsoe's. Anyway, sorry to get so nastalgic. I too agree that Edwards should be given a fair shot at being the next franchise QB for the Bills and I hope he has great success.
  15. Thank you for calling me out on my spelling error.
  16. Hey, it's true that he threw a lot of interceptions and he had a rough start to the season, but I think he boucned back nicely and had several nice games down the stretch and actually played a very gutsy performance in the playoffs before being knocked out of the game. The only mistake he made was that shovel pass that was picked off and that didn't bother me so much. He came back the very next drive and led the Bills on a Touchdown driver and I remember seeing right then and there that the fire in his eyes was still present and burning stronger then ever. You are right, he played a year longer then he should have, but it still hurts to see someone call his last year pitiful. I think it was admirable.
  17. I disagree. I think that along with the media, most fans AND players view Buffalo as a losing franchise that hasn't produced a playoff team in nearly a decade. Probably in much the way people used to view the Bengals or the Seahawks. (though both of those teams have progressed out of that media driven doom and gloom a lot more then the Bills have). The only reason we have so much optimism in Buffalo is that this is our team and we watch them every game and we have more of an idea of how it really is right now. I really do think that if you were to ask the average fan or player to describe the Bills in just a few words, 9 out of 10 would say something like "Buffalo sucks!". I could be wrong, and like you, I am also entitled to my opinion which is that Favre has not once considered playing for the Bills. Don't get me wrong. I love the Bills and I hope they have a great season and I beleive that they will. I just don't think Favre will play here, not even in our dreams...
  18. I agree with much of what you have to say here but I think it is all a mute point. Favre is not going to play in Buffalo, regardless of the amount of cash that the Bills throw his way. (knowing Ralph, that wouldn't amount to much anyway) Favre will go to a team that is perceived by the national media to be more playoff ready then the Bills (Tampa Bay, Vikings, dare I say the Jets). My last word on this is that I think the time Edwards spent on the field last season is priceless and he will get better game by game this season. I really do like his smarts and the way he carries himself and I do have high hopes for him this season.
  19. that's what I'm talking about my friend! I hope my words don't let you down. I'll be giddy with you and I just have this feeling that this year is gonna be different......
  20. Way to rip apart the Bills head coach like that in the middle of a damn good offseason. With what he has had to work with the past two seasons in Buffalo, I think he has done quite well for himself and I expect this year the Bills will make a strong push for the playoffs and Jauron will be a big reason for it. No head coach can come in and rebuild a franchise in ruins in a matter of just a few off seasons. And I realize he doesn't have a great track record but for MY record I'm backing the guy this season all the way and I hope his legacy starts this season. I know we are all entitled to our opinions but is it necessary to call the head coach of the team you pull for a complete and total loser? Now come on man, get behind your team, get behind your coach, have a little faith and join the rest of us in believing that this is the year things finally start to turn around. Let's ditch this negative attitude and get ready for the road to the playoffs my friend! Go Bills!
  21. Thats pretty much the thought I have had all offseason Adam. I think we will be a better team, top to bottom then the one that took the field last season, but I think we have yet to show that we can win the close games consistently. Also, anytime you install a new offense with new schemes, there are going to be growing pains, especially in the early goings. I expect Buffalo to struggle out of the gate, but if Edwards is as smart as people claim him to be, I think the Bills will finish up the season strong and NEXT season will be the year that we should expect the playoffs. Of course I hope I am wrong and the Bills click from the start this season, but as long as they get better each game, I can live with that.
  22. Great points you make here. I think the Bills are capable of winning 10 games this season. I just have this horrible feeling in my gut that a 10 win team may not make the playoffs this year in the AFC. Thats how loaded it might be down the stretch. I hope I'm wrong. Go Bills!
  23. I agree 100%. It certainly does suck to lose. But if the Bills miss the playoffs but fight hard and show signs of being a much improved team for next year, I can live with that. I guess missing the playoffs for the last decade (almost) has made me a little numb. This year I'm trying to be optimistic, yet cautious.
  24. How disappointed will you guys be if the Bills play well and show marked improvement on both sides of the ball, but they just do miss making the playoffs. In other words, is anyone out there going into this season with a 'playoffs or BUST' mentality or are you ok with a team that plays hungry, shows much improvement, but just falls a bit short because of all of talented/loaded teams in the AFC?
  25. Ohh well. Maybe there will be more enthusiasm on this board as the season draws nearer. Go Buffalo!
