  1. if this were to happen i would be extremely happy. a 4th rounder for a guy who, in my opinion, still has 3-4 years left at a high level for a #2 wr. I'd pull the trigger in a heartbeat.
  2. The Giants have not been able to stop the run, nor have they been able to run with any kind of consistancy. On paper, this game looks like a win for the Bills. However, I truly do beleive that the Giants will put 8 men in the box and dare/force the Bills to throw deep to win. I don't think Fitz attempted a pass of more than 10 yards against the Eagles. I realize this was mostly by design, but with our 3 fastest receivers shelved for the season or at least for a good while (Easley, Parrish, Jones), I do not have a lot of confidence that we can utlize a medium/deep passing game which could easily end up hampering out ability to move the ball should the run be taken away. Just my two cents.
  3. receivers just got a whole lot slower. fastest wr's all out now...parrish, easley, jones. Can spiller be split out wide as a wr and offer consistant production? how about brad smith? he just seems to drop everything thrown to him. Obviously we keep handing the rock to freddie...but eventually, teams are going to stack the box and make us pass to win.
  4. Great post. thank you for sharing!!! It's been said by several players after the game that the coaches didn't dial up any blitzes are all. Guessing they were afraid to get burnt deep and would rather let Brady nickle and dime them and hope to make a few big plays, which they did. One question I have is regarding Roosevelt. I didn't even hear his name mentioned Sunday. Was he on the field at all? Are you saying he doesn't run good routes or get open? Dissapointing if true becuase on the few occasions I watched him in live action last year, he looked great to me and hand great hands. Thanks again for your post! John
  5. same here!!!! i sounded like fitz on mic'ed up last week. like a little lost school girl who has just had her first period!! WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  6. if we lose it will be expected. dissapointing, but expected. i think it depends on how we lose. if we have one of those games where we have too many stupid penalties, self-inflicted wounds, and turn overs, then yeah, i'll be pissed. If we lose a game in which it's obvious the players played hard from start to finish but just didn't have the talent or the breaks to win, no sweat. i just hope it's not am embarrasing set back like we always seem to sufffer to these guys. that being said, LET'S GO BUFFALO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bills 35. Patriots 27.
  7. hahahah now THAT is funny!!! I was wondering the same thing actually, if I may be serious for a brief moment. I went back and watched the game and saw that Roscoe was actually targeted twice. One he dropped (but would have only gone for a couple) and the other was the pass interference call on the opening drive. I'm guessing Fitz just looks for the open man and thats where he goes with the ball. It's refreshing actually to have a quarterback not try to force feed a reciever.
  8. if the guy messed up and made a stupid mistake that's none football related, fine. Let him learn from his mistake and move foward. How old is he again? 21 maybe? 20? If I was put under a microscope for all of my bone headed mistakes at that age I'd be a bum on the streets right now because no one would want anything to do with me. Relax and leave the kid alone. Either he grows up and learns following whatever mistake he made, or he doesn't. end result is his to make, not ours.
  9. I really want to buy a Fitzy jersey but I think I'll refrain from doing so, for the good of the team and for the sake of all of you guys. Check out my history with Bill's Jersesy: Bledsoe: The year I buy the Bledsoe jersey is his last year in Buffalo. He had just come off of an 8-8 season in which he showed a lot of promise and had the Bills in position to make the playoffs. The following year he tanked and had a miserable showing. He would soon find himself on the Dallas Cowboys. Losman: The year I buy the Losman jersey was the year he was supposed to turn the corner. He had just come off a season in which he threw for over 20 td passes including several huge games with Lee Evans. A lot of us, including myself, thought he had finally found 'it'.... Later that year he goes down to Jacksonville and calls it a 'statement game'. He lays an egg on the road and never starts for Buffalo again. That would be his last year on the team. Edwards was then named the starter. Edwards: The year I buy the Edwards jersey he starts the season on fire and the Bills jump out to a 5-1 record. The Bills finish the season with a losing record and although Trent was named the starter on opening day the next season, he would be benched for Fitz after the 2nd game of the season and would never start for Buffalo again. He was soon after cut from the team. Every damn time I buy a freaking jersey, that player suffers his worst season as a Bill and is off the team the next season. But my bad lack has to end sometime right?? Do I dare buy the Fitz jersey????
  10. Andre Reed was fearless and wasn't afraid to go over the middle and make the tough catches, taking maximum punishment for doing so. Evans wouldn't even attempt to catch a pass over the middle in traffic with the free saftey coming over to lower the boom. Andre wore a jockstrap. Evans wears panties. nuff said.
  11. NGU, I said a few things in the heat of the moment that don't reflect who I am as a person and i sincerly apologize to you. I don't know you and I have no right to call you out on this board. I hope you will accept my apology and continue to provide the board with good, early information. What ever beef you have with JW has nothing to do with myself. I do however hope you both with 'shake hands' and agree to disagree and move on. Bottom line, both of you are true fans of the game and true fans of the Bills and there is a lot to be said for that.
  12. I appreciate you sticking up for jw but if you are not careful, you will find your posts deleted by SDS just like mine. Careful, not being PC will get you no where fast.
  13. why is my comment silly? I have the right to find fault with someone on this board for openly slandering the name of a long time poster who has done nothing but provide us with great information, witty conversation, and who bleads Buffalo Bills football through and through. and NGU has the right to post to my comments and to defend himself if he choses to do so. thank you for monitoring this conversation.
  14. well said Erik. NGU and people like him need other people's approval to pump up his ego and make him feel important. the best thing to do is to ignore him from now on. he isn't worth the time it took to read this post.
  15. not revealing your identity does not make you wrong. all it does is make you a coward. FWIW. John Richtarik
  16. Umm...yeah. you are absolutly more wrapped up in a game then anyone else here. you've damned someone to hell and come off sounding like a pitiful jackass because of it. I get upset at players, coaches, the game itself, all the time. But I don't wish ill will towards another person like you did. Dude, you really do have serious issues. To say you hate someone and that they can go to hell, under these circumstances, is just plain stupid and takes away any crediblity you may have had on this board prior to making that statement. If you have kids, or ever have them,I seriously hope you don't teach them that it is okay to go around exclaiming that you hate someone and that they can go to hell. Really??? Grow up.
  17. Wow. Feel better now? I certainly understand the frustration that pulling for a perennial loser brings, but your rant is beyond anything i would expect from someone not troubled by lack of sanity. you don't like trent, fine, that is your right and you are of course welcome to your opinion. want to blame the source of the problem instead of funneling your anger and blind hatred towards someone who was thrown to the wolves? hate the coaching staff. start at the top of the organization and then work your way down. they are 100% responsible for drafting trent edwards, making him the starter, and sticking with him for as many years as they did. what were THEY thinking?? trent was only out there because they put him out there. I fault the coaches/mgmt 100% for setting us back a decade, but not edwards. so he couldn't cut it? who are you to say he didn't try his best and who are you to say his heart wasn't in it? Because you assume it to be that way? the fact that you can hate someone who you don't personally know and who has nothing to do with you or your life, is totally irrational and makes me question your sanity. seriously, there is both counseling and medication available for people like you who get so wrapped up in a GAME that it completely warps your sense of logic, reality, and what really matters. I feel sorry for you and I hope you get some help. that being said, I also wish trent nothing but the best and I'm sorry it didn't work out for him in Buffalo.
  18. i agree 100%. bottom line, buffalo is heading in the right direction. and to all the haters out there...no, we will not be close to the worst team in football and we will not have even a remote chance of drafting andrew luck. deal with it! haha..laughing at those who would rather tank the season and draft luck as opposed to finishing 8-8 or better. go bills!!
  19. actually jones looked very good on the road against the dolphins last year and he has been very consistant throughout all of camp so far this season. Don't get me wrong, i like both jones AND easley, but Big E has had more drops than catches this preseason so let's not annoint him the next eric moulds just yet....jones was given the #2 wr spot in camp by chan for a reason...i think he knows a bit more about wr talent than anyone on this board does. bottom line, I love the youth and desire that all of our wr's are brining to the table this season. go bills!
  20. i hope the bills move the ball tonight and get into the endzone a few times in the first half. if for nothing else that maybe it will make some of you losers and babies finally stfu about losing evans and move on with your miserable lives. hahah so funny that some of you act like you need the suicide hotline anytime something bad happens to the bills.
  21. why do we continue to cry over spilled milk? lee was great as a bill and will always be appreciated for his time in buffalo but he is gone now and isn't coming back. that's it. period. can we at least try to move on????
  22. whats your !@#$ing point guy? MY POINT is that he played full games the past two years and would put up 50-60 yards on 3-4 catches on a consistant basis...again, nothing to write home about.....he'd have the occasional 100 yard game with a td or two which would do just enough to keep the homer simpson fans like you down on your knees and wearing out your knee pads on him. if evans played the rest of lastnights game with the starters, history says he would probaly not catch anything else but a cold. do your homework before you spout off at the mouth like a fool.
  23. I'm not even considering Evans having a good year in Baltimore. He will average his usual 3 or 4 catches for 50-70 yards a game, with a td here and there. he'll have one or two (At the most) big games where he goes over 100 yards, just like last season, but it will not be worthy of a #1 wr. not even close. history likes to repeat itself and will do so again this season...
  24. yeah, thats exactly what i just did. you must be pretty quick on your feet to figure that out. no one is dumping on lee. we are just saying it was time for him to move on. he didn't want to play here any longer, fine. we are more than happy for you to go somewhere else. end of story. lee was never a bonified #1 and never will be. he has great deep speed and had showed flashes of being more well rounded but never more than just that..flashes. sorry to burst your bubble pal.
  25. forgot to add that it's gotten out that Lee wanted to be traded to a contender. his heart was no longer in buffalo. no one can blame him for that....but if he had stayed, knowing he was no longer the number one, no way his head would have been in every game. he needed to go.
