  1. A second makes sense to me with the Ford trade the benchmark.
  2. Due diligence in case of injury - sure. Not a fan of signing - let the young TEs develop while Kroft holds the fort as the starter.
  3. If by making team you mean PS, then his chances just went up. He would have to play at a high level to make it as #3 I suspect. This will more likely mean an additional WR or TE will make the team.
  4. Not to be cold, but I am in favor of anything that weakens an AFC team.
  5. I will miss the paranoid posts that the Bills are failing because they are not signing picks.
  6. Disagree - will always be last tier starter/backup unless that is your definition of "fine enough".
  7. Since no one wasted a 7th on him, why will a team rush to sign a player that will have zero knowledge of the playbook?
  8. Bookmarked for future reference if needed.
  9. Preferably the Bills go younger, not short term backup. TEs need time to develop and go aging veteran then you are not developing talent. RB is different as a RB can contribute immediately.
  10. Why yes he was...... Overall the list is reasonable. OL is the largest question. He has Ford at RT which makes sense but my guess is they start him at G.
  11. Sometimes it is better not to take the shot. Seems like a high risk if shoulder not yet cleared. Not disappointed in least.
  12. I see this often but the roster can not accommodate every one of these "what can it hurt comments". You need to have balance on the 90 so if they think he is better than a current punter, cut them and sign the new player. I think that is what you are saying vs a general bring in a player. It helps to have the cause and effect: bring in X, cut Y to make room.
  13. I agree with the trade scenario. Let them battle it out and then trade the losers to a team that suffers an injury or need help. The Bills also have insurance in case the injury bug hits so no need to move on Ducasse or Bodine until the cut is required. Only one cut helps the Bills manage the roster in this regard.
  14. Not in love with idea of Ziggy. He is potentially older than advertised and not sure he will be a sack machine post injury. At team safe price would be interested but appears not likely.
  15. Is it sports only? Do not want politics.
  16. I don't even know where to start: Roberts makes the team as returner. Jones makes the team as receiver, Crook cut to make room. Spain is a starter, waddle gone. Long backs up C and G Anash will not sign with Buffalo or injury not recovered Bush out at S - doubt keep 5 Anderson is 3rd QB
  17. I have read here that chemistry and character are not required. I agree with you that the team will perform better when in it together vs their own stats. I am sure every person on the team would like to work out at home but they are there for the team. Eventually they will say "me too" and stay home.
  18. A fine young man.
  19. I dislike McBeane and McClappy. Since there is only one vote, no more McClappy. While McBeane is a short cut for two names, McClappy is offensive and not funny.
  20. Yes because old, slow receivers get faster after an Achilles injury.
  21. He may or may not turn out to be but he was not the top ranked.
  22. It is not always true. I consulted for a company that made their own brand non dairy creamer and also made for Sam's Club. The Sam's Club was higher quality as it had more butter fat but was cheaper.
  23. If the pass stats are great but it does not result in wins, who cares. Stat are an indication of success, not the end result. If a good D and run game get wins while passing less, so be it. What I do want to see from the pass attack: 1. Pass game carry the team when D and or run game have a bad day. 2. Consistent production 3. Make the throws utilizing the entire field. 4. Hit a few deep balls every game to keep the run and short passes more open. 5. Convert 3rd downs at a high rate. So win and let the stats be an outcome of winning.
  24. Exactly - select based on talent and production, not height. I suspect with six positions there will be some natural distribution. The TEs will also be taller so the population needs to include all positions.
  25. Twenty Including tip for wash and cut.
