  1. Only bad things can occur if he goes. Safe play to stay away.
  2. Trolling or does not understand the need for a QB? Either is not a good loom for the OP.
  3. Tyrod > Glennon Draft a QB, sign a bridge, cut Taylor.
  4. My theory is that the Bills will not trade up: either no partner or the cost is too high. I think a DT and LB will be taken at 21/22. The 2 seconds will then be packaged to get back into the first round for Rudolph or Jackson. This will give the Bills a 5th year at a reasonable cost if the QB works out. In FA, a bridge QB is signed who can also start the year if they lose out at QB, In all scenarios Taylor get cut.
  5. I think there is a place for analytics in football - when combined with a good coach. The problem IMO is that there are too many variables to isolate to get a firm direction. This is why analytics combined with traditional should be a good marriage.
  6. So you think Allen's accuracy is less of an issue than turnovers. IMO you can coach reducing turnovers easier than improving accuracy.
  7. Who are your big 3? If Allen is in that group, no thanks. Mayfield then yes.
  8. No. Assuming you keep Peterman and draft one in the first, the 3rd QB needs to be a vet to provide short term starter capability and longer term mentoring. Not a good plan to go with 2 rookies and 1 second year QB,
  9. That is funny - Pats get called for holding penalties.......
  10. If each of the 3 Vikes QBs think they are a starter and want starter money, why would two re-sign with the Vikes.
  11. I am waiting for the post that once again the Bills messed up by not making the trade.
  12. Two points: 1. I think teams will shy away from the franchise route for QBs based on the Cousins example. Instead of being a threat it has become leverage. The QB market is like no other and teams will get stuck in a pay more loop. 2. SF has the cap space to franchise Garrapolo and sign Cousins. They can then take the time until the draft to work out a scenario where they could do a sign and trade. Worse case, they have a really expensive backup but some team would bite.
  13. I am leading a project outside Philly. A team member who lives on the parade route said people were lining up yesterday. She is expecting a wild event.
  14. Why would Bridgewater be open to being a backup? A QB needy team will take a chance if the knee passes an exam.
  15. This is the answer - not sure why it is being complicated.
  16. Why does Bridgewater want to be a backup?
  17. It was an embarrassing performance for a professional. My wife, who knows next to nothing about football, corrected him at least twice. Romo makes him look like a hack.
  18. This sums it all well. Cousins holds the leverage:j. ust refuse to sign the franchise or sign the franchise and declare loudly he will not report until the preseason ends plus not resign with that team. I do not see any risk adverse teams taking a chance.
  19. Is this based on his track record as a GM?
  20. Is Allen your first choice based on that order? Why Allen over Mayfield? I guess I value production over potential - Allen is a high bust factor IMO. Mayfield may have a slightly lower ceiling but a much higher floor.
  21. You are minimizing the fact that 50% of first round QBs bust. If you could get Darnold or Rosen for the same price as Luck I would say yes. The others, no. Of course any option is based on Luck passing a physical. From reports it sounds like the timing if off to be sold before the draft.
  22. I learned that many people on the board know less then they think.
