  1. They signed King Robert Baratheon from Game of Thrones?
  2. Hey guys, would love your opinions on a jersey dilemma. My company is based in Chicago and my boss is a Bills fan, too. He's springing for a couple of tickets to the Bills opening day game against the Bears and I want to get him a jersey to say thanks Here's my dilemma: If I go with the Watkins jersey, I'm limited to the replica jersey with the iron on (or is it screen-printed?) name. If I go with the nice Nike Limited jersey with the sewn on name, my options are Alonso, Manuel, Spiller, Jackson and Mario Williams. Now, the Alonso jersey would be a solid gift, but then I'm left with either A) Buying myself a matching jersey, or B) Buying myself one of the other guys. Manuel may or may not stick, Spiller is a great player but could be outta here soon, Fred's almost done, and Mario is...well, ya just never know. I'd rather get myself a jersey for a guy who'll be around a while, and I'd prefer it to be the Nike Limited jersey. So...give myself the nice Alonso jersey and give the boss the replica Sammy Watkins jersey, or give my boss the kick-ass Alonso jersey and get myself the Nike Limited jersey of my second choice player? Or option C: Wait 'til next year and get myself a Nike Limited Watkins jersey?
  3. All we are is dust in the wind.
  4. Slow news day. The draft can't get here soon enough. Oh, wait.
  5. Keeping your "best" player just because he's your best player isn't the key to winning. It's the key to standing still. If you had four cars in your driveway, and the best one was a used Toyota Corolla, would you still insist on keeping your "best" car? At some point you've gotta grow up, man up, make a bold investment and elevate your game, son.
  6. ...no doubt as she created another Pinterest board.
  7. I'd add OL Laurent Duvernay-Tardiff, the Canadian prospect from McGill University, to your list. Considered the #1 pick in the CFL and projects inside in the NFL. I think he'd be a stud at Guard for us and would be the finishing piece on our OL. My next choice would be RB Andre Williams. We'll need a replacement RB soon, and better to get college football's leading rusher in the 4th this year than to use a 3rd next year.
  8. MoreFo? SloMoFo? SchlomoFo? On Like a MoFo II: More Onner? "Like" This If You're a MoFo? TempoMoFo?
  9. I believe the bills are simply gauging the market. In a deep draft class, many teams may want to trade down and stockpile picks. That means it's a buyer's market if you want to move up. The Bills are broadcasting their intent so every team 1-8 will want their business. We're getting those eight to compete against each other. This also helps the Bills gauge the market value of the 9th pick in case they want to slide back. By knowing what the opening demands are for 1-8, you know what you can ask from a team below us looking to move up.
  10. The Panthers are now desperate for WRs. They have 0 receivers on the roster who caught a pass in 2013. Would you trade Stevie Johnson for a draft pick? What round would you require? A lot of folks here don't view SJ as a #1 for this team. If we get a 2nd rounder for him, would you be comfortable taking Mike Evans in the first and using the 2nd rounders and 3rd rounder on LB, OL and TE? Or would you use one of the 2nd rounders to get your replacement WR? Or would you require a first round pick for Stevie, and would the Panthers go for it?
  11. I pegged Ebron a few months ago as the Bills pick. I'm even more convinced today. He's not just a TE: He has WR speed, can split out wide, has elite side/speed/athleticism combination, very good hands, and is a strong blocker. I'm a guy who loves the idea of a playmaker down the seam, but when you watch his blocking off the line, you get visions of Spiller breaking long runs outside. He simultaneously improves our O line and our receiving corps, and creates mismatch problems while freeing up other playmakers. I'm sold at 9, with LB in round 2 (my gut says Skov), and OL in the third. What happens in free agency will obviously clarify our game plan.
  12. Making gay jokes AND making fun of soccer? Way to go, champ. Way to prove your manhood. What, criticizing the ineptitude of Graham was too difficult?
  13. Not a receiver, but I'm warming to Eric Ebron, TE out of UNC. A big body over the middle, fairly athletic. Watch his tape...he makes you realize just how slow and plodding Scott Chandler is.
  14. Ill be there. Driving up from Charlotte one week after my wedding.
  15. If Kyle Williams had good hands he'd be a receiver. That play showed he's clearly better suited to be a DB. Let him rotate in with Gilmore.
  16. Getting Gilmore back > Getting Byrd back.
  17. Per Bills text...the rubber mat is doubtful for Sunday.
  18. The title of this thread should be changed to "Random Bills Fan: 5 Reasons the *Pats Can't Beat the Bills Week 1." It's misleading to imply Yahoo says the *Pats can't beat the Bills.
  19. Can he play quarterback cornerback long snapper? Does he know how to walk on rubber mats? May as well sign him.
  20. Excellent. Instead of a discussion on a substantive topic like a free agent, we get a series of rants about etiquette and protocol. Boy, objecting to the OP sure proved useful! *sarcasm*
  21. Can anyone identify these players? The only one labeled is Brad Pitt, who I believe is practice squad eligible this year and likely won't make the 53-man roster.
  22. Friskiness. It's a legit use of the word, and a refreshing break from stale cliches. If you think it's a word that only applies in the bedroom, it's time to cancel your Maxim subscription.
