Oh my god! how can anyone watch NBC news anymore especially the morning show. Puff after puff on the Obamas and Dems and slam after slam on Palin and the Rep. even in their "hard news" stories. How embarrassing for them.

some Moveon.org types are crashing that party.

Junk bonds scare the hell out of you but you think there's money to be made there. Sounds rather confused to me.
Yes, risk frightens and confuses me. I Like to make lots money with very low risk but going forward it looks like i'll have to risk more to make more. So, I was seeing if anyone else here is taking a risk on high yield these days even though its scary.

What do I think? I think you're confused.
Ok i'm confused than.....but what am I confused about?

Is anyone here putting money into High Yield Corp. bonds right now?
Junk bonds scare the hell out of me! In general stocks and bonds seem a bit over priced for me right now, but I think you can make some cash right now in junk. What do you think?

Rick James came from Buffalo you know. Does that mean we are a town of excessive partying, music making people who are destined to overdose....
Um.......yeah

I think that's been answered here. S&P index funds.[i am not a Chef Jim, but I play one on TV]
For what it’s worth most of the anal-ysts are saying sell the S&P at 1200-1290. We’re almost there! So if you get in now you’re in for the long term.

I use ETF (exchange traded funds) bonds and stocks. Stay away from single stocks and bonds, unless you like to gamble and know what your doing. Weight them accordingly to your retirement horizon.
On the bond side: keep in mind that interest rates will be going up within the next year or 2 so keep to short term bonds or bonds with a low durations. High yield corporate bonds can earn you a lot right now but they are high risk. GNMA bonds are pretty safe. I like PIMCO and Vanguard bonds.
On the stock side: twenty five percent of your stock holdings should be in foreign stocks and currency. Emerging markets like VWO, developed markets like EAF index. I also like EWC,EWZ,EPP,EWS,EWH. I think the real growth going forward is outside the US. I like VB for small caps. DBC, MOO,XME, OIH,GLD ETP for commodity/resources. I also like high dividend yield ETF's. I like GBT for large cap overseas exposure and good dividend yield. XLV for health play.
Remember in the past it was hard to beat the S&P index unless you were a day trader or put all your eggs in one or 2 stocks and get lucky.
Most people will brag about their hits and never about all their failures.

Gingrich is a Smart man, bet he could run circles around Obama in the facts and figures department.
I think he was “polarizing” not for the trumped up ethics charges but because he came off as an arrogant pompous ass and the media could not stand him. Back then he had that little know it all smile that needed to be punched straight!
All but one of the ethics charges brought forth by the Dem witch hunt were dropped and that one pales in comparison to the tax evaders Obama hired. It’s amazing but the stuff the Dems wanted to get Gingrich on back then would be laughed at now.
Both sides waste our $ and time with witch hunts like this. It's just RED meat for their base.

So you listened to Rush Limbaugh today?
Why what did he say about this?
Lets face it, access and use of the internet is like access and use of the gas, electric, water ect. It’s a utility and we’ll all have to pay for what we use but just like the other utilities it needs some form of regulation to prevent content manipulation by ISP's
-
As much as I hate government regulation and expansion, some is needed here. I don’t like the idea of ISP’s controlling the information spigot. Turning the bandwidth spigot up for things they want us to see and down for things they don’t or have no intere$t in.
