  1. I am sure that whatever happens, somebody will say it will be because Ralph is too cheap. In reality, you cannot help but speculate if the 2010 draft selections were influenced by the possibility that there will not be a 2011 season. Trading up to select a big dollar player who would get big guaranteed money to sit at home and play Madden is not the best use of anyone's money and would certainly make me think at least twice before I made such a move.
  2. Paul Hamilton is back in the WGR studios dreaming up more inane, irrelelvant and ridiculous non-sports related drafts to make the Schopp and Bulldog Show even more unbearable to listen to every afternoon. I heard that next week they will draft varieties of corn. The week after they will have a debate on boxers vs. briefs. Certainly that is WAAAAAAY more important than the Bills, or at least it would seem so based on what GR covers on a daily basis.
  3. Dear Mr. Moderator, As a service to we posters, could you please create a template that reads: "I think that the Bills should trade for/pick up (circle one) _____________________ (fill name in here). " Not only would this save time for the posters, but it would also reduce, but unfortunately not totally eliminate, all of the posts correcting spelling and/or grammar that inevitably accompanying every other post. Thank you.
  4. Trent probably couldn't even score if this game was in Vegas and he went to the Chicken Ranch afterwards! Despite that, Go Bills!!!
  5. I am impressed that there have been this many postings and no references to Wood, Wang or Levitre yet. Have we grown out of that phase?
  6. My favorite Bills formation is the victory formation. That's the one where the quarterback takes a knee to run out the closck and preserve the win.
  7. Any chance he's related to the Raider's center who woke up drunk and in Mexico (no, not Ron Mexico) right before the Super Bowl?
  8. The posters err, whiners are absolutely right! We NEEDED another guard on our line instead of CJ Spiller. Come on Buddy, have some sweet tea or something and wake up!!
  9. Wow, douchenozzles, everyone back on their heads and no waiting for the promised land, all in the same thread! Where else would you rather be, but here...
  10. Why is anyone surprised that he signed so late? After all, we were picked to finish 31st this year! I guess all of the pundits were dead on accurate. Here's to hoping that is the last thing they are right about this year!! Go Bills!!! P.S. Any bets on how long it will take for there to be a thread suggesting this could have been done weeks ago if only Ralph weren't so cheap!!
  11. Out of respect for Wood and Wang, there should be no clapping at camp. Flame me for being 12 if you must, but some things just can't be helped.
  12. And just how does a "proven" left tackle help our team when he is standing next to our clipboard toting backup qb in sweats with 47 pounds of bling around his neck? Will the rest of the regional viewing area, since we likely won't be anatioanlly televised game this year, be somehow impressed? A player needs to be on the field to make a difference. Otherwise, he is no more effective than "Guitar Elvis."
  13. So in essence, you are saying that Wood is good?!?!
  14. OK, CJ can do all that, but how is he with a twenty at Fidays?
  15. Dean CAin. He did NOTHING here, then went on to become SUPERMAN!
  16. At least we don't have top worry about Trent Edwards falling down two flights of stairs, since the internet says that he always looks for the short ones. What are we talking then, one, two at most?
  17. I too wish RW much health and a long life. I find it incrdibly amusing that aanyone would doubt for even a nanosecond that there is not a succession plan in place. RW is a wealthy and successful businessman. He did not get that way by accident. Rather, he got there by careful planning and wise decisions. To think he hasn't done the same to provide for his heirs is absurd. In addition, estate planning is an intensely personal issue and although of concern to we fans, is none of our business. That being said, it is still fun to speculate as to what his plans may be.
  18. Martin Luther King had a dream too. As I recall, it didn't work out so hot for him. Here's hoping yours turns out a little better!
  19. I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but one of the first thoughts that went through my head was that George saved his family a couple hundred million by timing his death quite well. Do you suppose that thought occurred to him during the last few months as he knew his health was failing? For a guy who loved the Yankees as much as he obviously did, there was probably no better set of circumstances to ensure that their ownership stayed in the family for at least another generation. Sorry to be so morbid, but I am just being honest. On a somewhat related note, I too am curious as to how this makes Ralph feel.
  20. I wish YEE HA, but am afraid BOO HOO is more appropriate.
  21. And I heard that they have TV's in the weight room.
  22. Which topic, TE's arm or Dakota Fanning's behind?
  23. We need to keep several things in mind when second guessing the Bills brain trust with respect to Marshawn. The first is that as far as NFL running backs are concerned he is presently a significant bargain and has put himself in a position where he can't do anything about that. The second thing is that Fred Jackson, as loveable and talented as he is, is an old man by NFL standards as far as running backs go. Yeah, yeah, he doesn't have a lot of mileage on him, but age slows even the most sparingly used players down a step or two. My final point, although I am sure others have many more, is that the NFL and NFLPA are negotiating an extension to the CBA. If Marshawn is as good as we think he may be, then it makes sense to hold onto him until his value peaks and some other team becomes motivated to offer value for him after the uncertainty surrounding the CBA is ultimately resolved. Trading him now is highly unlikely to make our team significantly better. Given that, IF you buy into it, the logical thing to do is to hold onto him until an opportunity comes up that WILL make our team better. Every year, some team gets desperate and does something stupid to try to salvage themselves. Wouldn't it be great if the Bills braintrust put us in a position to not be that team this year?!?!?! Just my opinion though.
  24. Jim Kelly had a nice arm and bought great hair.
  25. I heard that Russ Brandon wants to bring in one of the strippers from Rick's TAlly Ho. It won't make the team any better, but certainly will sell more tickets. She'll be on the O-Line with Wang and Wood.
