  1. It might not be YOUR real world Chef, but I assure you that it is the real world for some.
  2. Yeah I know. I'm a hot head. Tell em Nash! Good for them. It is a ridiculous law, and I am glad the community is speaking out in as many ways as they can.
  3. I'll take that. I would be the first to tell you that I am naive when it comes to this. All I have is what I have read about the issues and the experiences I have that I think will correlate. I have never been a part of a CDC, so I am naive. I have said in the past that I will learn plenty as I go, and I'm okay with that. I mean I've been talking about best case scenarios, but worst case scenario I go in with the state 45k and my own 30k or so and go one property at a time. I am going to put work in and do my best, that's all. I wouldn't call myself a nincompoop, but I don't think I'm a genius.
  4. No, the answer is none because it will be funded by property tax income, state money is not block granted. State money comes with what you can spend that money on. The state property tax revenue and licensing/fees go to CDC funding. If you're really upset about 45k coming from state funding, you're really being ridiculous. That isn't a drop in the bucket. So maybe somewhere down the line the 45k could be attributed to indirectly coming from federal money, but I mean c'mon. The lion's share of the funding would come from the people of the community. Property taxes and donations from local businesses, you know people with a vested interest in rebuilding the community. Go read some books on urban development and urban government, I'm tired of going over the same points to goons that can't understand the simple concept of community development.
  5. Which is why I don't say that we need to regulate the system, but reform the people.
  6. I know, isn't it so suprising when politician acts our of self interest??? Crazy, never thought I would see the day lol
  7. No the Columbia that is famous for coffee and coca farming.
  8. None. They recieve state money which the state recieves federal money, so it's hard to say really. We get about 3 m annually from the state, and I don't know how much the state gets from the federal governmnet. But the federal government doesn't give our "community" any money directly. The funding will come from the local government. 45,000 from the state. Which is nothing really. The rest from the city. The city gets its money from property taxes, licenses and fees, etc. How is this mystery "someone else" paying property tax in OUR community? Yeah I'm sure I sound just like Obama and I'm sure you correctly quoted him to. And yeah Magox you got it kinda of right on even thought you think it's BS and I'm getting money from outside the community. lol
  9. All I am saying is that Mexicans at one point were the most split voting block. Of those that voted 45% were republicans. However, after this ordeal, I doubt those numbers will hold true anymore. Obama right now is pretending to give a sh*t to catch all those voters that are leaving the GOP
  10. They were anarchists from NC Haynes and Williams http://cbs5.com/local/santa.cruz.riot.2.1672595.html http://www.ksbw.com/news/23436202/detail.html# Williams doesn't look much like a guy fighting for the rights of undocumented workers. It was a planned attack on the city by anarchists that hid themselves among the actual protestors.
  11. This "someone elses water" is a straight out lie that I'm kinda tired of hearing about. It's not your money, it's not Obama money. It's our own community's money. At least attack my spelling or that I can't name the leaves on the trees so I definitely can't water them correctly or something.
  12. Ya lost me. Pacific Northwest? um no. Columbia is south man. Cape Verde is a few islands off the coast of Africa.
  13. Give me time, I've only been here a few weeks geez. I can see how people who care about the world are looked at on this board, so I don't know much about this guy, but I am SURE I can fall further from the grasp of the wicked in due time. heheheehe..
  14. I understand where you are coming from. I don't hold it against someone that clings to religion, but I don't think it is clean anymore. I think there are many truths held within the search for God, but the way the organized churches exploit the people can be sickening. I do not agree that God is an ancient myth we should let go of, but I do not believe we are currently looking in the right place for God either.
  15. Nice riot. A kid chucking a water bottle at a "tough guy" that thought it would be funny to wear something like that to a rally. hehehehe he deserved a beat down for being ignorant. It's about time people started fighting back against flagrant racism and descrimination. It's not like they hurt anyone. Far from a riot by my standards.
  16. Oh and Oligarchy, which I am sure you know, is a government that is ruled by a few people. So, yeah, it kinda is a fancy word for family heheheeheh And my hood is ruled by Columbian and Cape Verdian families NOT Italians from Jersey Shore heheheeh... I'm not from Boston personally, but south of Boston is where I grew up.
  17. I do not look like Lou Ferrigno! Lol I'm like 230, he's like 280 or something like that. I WISH I was that big. Stay outta da papaz don't get caught...I get it, I get it hehehehehe Who the hell are you guy? hehehee P.S. J E T S suck suck suck
  18. heheheee. What was your business Blue? If you don't mind me asking. You weren't a nuclear physicist like Tom were you? You weren't an investment God like.................Tom were you? You weren't a real estate champion like...................................tom again were you? I was only pointing out the obvious that the system is set up to break down lengthy legislation to get combed over by committees that condense parts of it and make the process faster. I wouldn't be comfortable casting a vote without reading the Health Care War and Peace Doctrine that came out if I were there, but it IS how Congress works and has worked for quite some time. I think anyway...Is that right Tom? I am sure you served as a Senator and House Rep in your days along with the many other things you have done. You completely overplay the whole details game with me. I do not wish to use pencils. YOU know good and hell well I am using my graphite 9 Iron to start a power plant in my little city. I THOUGHT we spoke about this already. I EAT pencil shavings you and Magox already told me making fuel from food sources is a bad idea. MAKE UP YOUR MIND. And don't worry Blue, the money I am going to secure is not for MY business plan. It is for the CDC I am starting. I am not the ENTIRE community development corporation. As I have said a million times before, there are plenty of other people that will be helping with this. I'm not an independent land developer OBVIOUSLY. I have a guy that has been a VP of a financial firm that will be a consultant type, doesn't want money because it will mess with his status with the financial company, but will offer advising to the CDC for free. I have an entrepeneur that ran his own construction company and is currently retired, but will offer his insight as well as some fund raising techniques. I have the experts that will actually design specific parts of the CDC. Again, I am not claiming to be a nuclear physicist, I am just claiming that putting together people that give a sh*t can rebuild a city. I'm more the sales/marketing guy, the one putting it all together, the one taking over and getting it all organized.
  19. Hold up, buddy, I never said I was a creationist. I was just pointing out that the science of evolution being the motivating factor in POLITICS has been far more destructive than the socialists and marxists commies wish to recognize. I was not saying that evolution is bull. I personally believe in evolution as a scientific rule that cannot be argued intelligently, however I also believe it fails to explain creation very solidly. It can only go back so far before it stops making sense as a theory. I don't believe the world is friggen 7,000 years old for cripes sakes. I was comparing belief systems and leadership and intelligence. There are plenty of intelligent people that believe in God. There were plenty of great leaders that believe in God. To dismiss someone because they believe in God is ridiculously ignorant, maybe just as ignorant as believing the world is 7000 years old.
  20. lol why would I put up a picture of a regular random guy? hehehee...makes no sense.
  21. Yeah that is me. Why? That isn't you in your picture? heheheheheheheh Nobody f*cks with the Jesus
