  1. Yeah I seen that statement about Meredith...chuckled because I to loved what I seen from Meredith last season gettting thrown into the fire...he looked veryyyyyyy stable for a guy that wasn't even on the squad the week before...that tells me alot about his ability...plus he's one of the few OLinemen that didn't give up any sacks last season...he can actually pass block...wow...I think he'll be a very solid RT...maybe if we used him more at LT we could really see if he's got the future many think he does....I'm more comfortable with that than friggen Bell...green can play RT...he's not a liability...only gave up a sack last season with the Raiders...
  2. Well, you think what you want about the working class, and I'll think what I want....when I go into business with them...we will see who is right and who is wrong...i am designing a system that will work for them...because I believe I know what would work for them...me, and most of the working class think the financial system works backwards...maybe our minds are backwards...in any case, I think a backward design according to the financial world is one that would work in my hood...maybe I'm wrong...but what banker has designed a program that the working class rejoiced for?...or could even pay for correctly?...exactly...so, I'll try my hand at it...the city has nothing to lose, I have nothing to lose, the people have nothing to lose... I will work out the details of if this guy burns his house down with contractors on the roof after I work on securing funding...and it is not a one man operation...I DO have bean counters...I DO have an admin asst with 15 years of experience as an executive assistant of a development corporation...small one...similar in size to my operation...its not like I need to know EVERYTHING...I'm the guy with the direction, dreams, concepts....I'm not bashing detail oriented people...I'm just saying they all WORK for guys like me...more big picture type of guys...more screw it, lets do it kinda guys...risk takers and dreamers...if I fall on my face so be it...but I won't count beans making someone elses dream come true...just not my deal... I found out I stank as a bean counter when I would spot stocks and companies...my boss would make the money on it...I would invest and get demolished with trade fees...and end up just above even...I had the concept right...just wasn't the most careful guy in the world...I'd rather run head first into something and get to the action scene...but this time around it's a bit more ambitious and more people are going to be affected...so I got my bean counters and people that are much more cautious...but to be a shot caller you gotta have sach...that's what I was gettin at...
  3. Ok...that's fair...but what "loan" will I default on?...the funding from local government?...it's not actually a loan...in politics we call it a good faith payment...if it works, they get thier money back...if it don't...well we tried...kind of like the stock market is SUPPOSED to work...you invest in the idea, if it goes under too bad so sad...this happens much more than you would think, and city governments do it to bankers all the time...which makes me smile of course hehehe... so I can't default in that sense...I will be run out of town by my own political allies if it goes belly up...but what do I really lose?...and in the big picture...what does the city really lose...they WILL have a more beautiful town....more attractive houses on the market...more tax revenue...I truly can't go into the real details of how the funding works...I can give you a hint...if you like research...check out the book Urban Politics: Power in Metropolitan America chapters 4 and 8...then read, well you've probably already read Civil Disobedience...if you mash them together...you can get a rough idea of how a power group can take and rebuild any city with the right people... You're right, I am not a good bean counter, I'm not as horrible as you think...I'm alright...I have experience in the financial field...it is thin, only a few years...but I know the broad basics...the concepts...I'm very idealistic and I am a big picture guy...not a detail guy...but that is not saying I don't need detail guys...I do have them...
  4. Imagine....a free market that actually REPRESENTS what we make??? i know...such a scary thought....imagine investing money into businesses without interest, but actually based on real production numbers...no inflating for stock rip offs...wowzers...how terrible would that be?....ugh...imagine our tax dollars going to education instead of going to corporate bailouts handouts and buyoffs....ewwww I dread the thought...imagine.... And why I am so pro union all of a sudden?...because I used a union website to prove a point?....I'm just not anti union...some are good and honest and some are useless lazy jagoffs oblivious to the bottom line of business and ruin companies...so, no I wouldn't envision a country run by a union (communism) heheheh...I don't condone mandated socialism either...to me there is a difference in taking someone's money, through policy to give it to the poor or whatever...and people actually giving it to them out of compassion....I'll admit I'm a bleeding heart kinda guy...but in no way do I think policies should reflect that...ruins the fuzzy feeling you get from doing something wonderful for someone... I am more libertarian than commie...more anarchist than socialist...my CDC pipedream is very socialist in design...but I dont want to tell others how to run the business that has nothing to do with my ideals...I'm all about freedom...I'm against regulation...the only reform should take place in the individual... I agree with many of the foreclosures are because people bit off more than they could chew...so ultimately you can't point the finger at anyone but yourself....were the bankers shady? of course...anyone that watches someone hang themselves and benefits from that is guilty, but not responsible...at least the way I view things...now I hope these bankers are regulated to death, but not because I think it's the right thing to do or that they would even work the way the government thinks...just because they deserve any horrible thing that can be done to them...karma I guess...but not because they are responsible...because they are greedy guilty losers.... Regulation will just send them back to thier labs to create more ridiculous loopholes to steal money from the less savvy...and THAT is all Wall St. is nowadays...it's corrupt and dirty...and the more dirty you are, the bigger the rewards....that is a huge friggen sign that the financial system is designed poorly and why things will continue to break down in our society...but that's just one ignorant idealistic opinion... Well not just one...there are a few...like way out there no thinkers like Aristotle, Socrates, and Gandhi, oh and the wacko carpenter...riiiiight...those guys had no kind of wisdom...they sure as hell have nothing on guys like Magox or you KD...your divine wisdom poureth over us like a waterfall of power and enlightenment...with sparkling words of prudence like Goldman Sachs have built this country brick by brick...so benevolent as they are...so compassionate and caring for our dear nation...definitely need to take your words over Tolstoy or Franklin...lol
  5. Yeah I know mine will...where do you get I haven't twigged that.....ohhhhhh because I didn't give you a print out with names addresses and references?...oh and don't forget thier credit scores lol... And I was making a point...missed of course...I wasn't REALLY knocking your spelling...I was making a point that you obviously do not know right from republican
  6. Yeah, and Wall St.........now THAT'S hell of a track record...and they are not giving me and my crew a dime...I would NEVER bring these ideas to THOSE kind of investors...you are correct...me and my boys aren't mortgage brokers and we aren't investment bankers....we have too much common sense and dignity to do them kinds of jobs... See, Wall St wouldn't care about the good getting done...would they?...they invest based on profit margins...mine will be as close to zero as I can pull off...not very attractive...they wouldn't want to invest in shady broken down hoods....I mean my city is full of people racially addicted to crime and poverty...credit rating shows that....those types of investors don't want anyyyyyyyyy piece of what I'm doing...and that is FINE by me...I got my backing...and it's coming from where it should...the people who live there and will benefit frrom the program personally... Yup, cutting the Banks out...black balling the slumlords...cutting out the excess garbage...while you think it's the actual people on the bottom that is the garbage, I think it's THOSE types of politicians and THOSE types of investors...Wall St. is a joke...and WHEN my program goes into affect, then I will meet with some other officials...and "take my show on the road" not personally but through examples set and myths debunked...well that's the plan anyway...maybe you, who has never worked side by side with or socialized with we ignorant folk, are right in judging us...maybe I am wrong...blinded by crazy things like morals and ideals....but I can always go back to scripture like you guys use to support your ridiculous right wing stances....The meek shall inherit the earth....that's kinda cool....or no weapon formed against me shall prosper, any voice that raises against me thou shalt condemn, this is the heritage of the service of the Lord....I like that one :0)...sounds all soldier like...my plan will work for no other reason that I have allllllll the room necessary to screw up...since I am not in it to make lots of money...allllllll the monthly payments collected...whether some late or some not at all....will more than cover my overhead...so...really...if I break even...which considering I am paying cash upfront for property it is nearly impossible for me not to at least break even...I'll be happy getting my people in and the slumlords out.....oooooh dawgie....
  7. Same ol' same ol'.....oh, sorry dear sir....Same old, same old...the point that you have to validate yourself by pointing out grammatical errors says enough...I put my stuff out there and never stop attacking stances or arguments...except when Chef called me a dolt and I called him a dolt in return...but you guys just like to attack things that are irrelevant to the main idea... So, alright...you can write software programs...and you can edit the crap out of posts...........I've got it...you can be my editor/secretary...I'll let you shine my shoes if you want to...oh, and I'll let you move into one of my Ghetto Condos as a perk...hows that sound?...gotta grow some sach though, if you want to do this job, in this neighborhood :0) Every good corporations have to have solid bean counters and yes men...anyone else want a jobby job...oh, sorry dear sirs...does anyone else fancy a position with this fine corporation....
  8. I am not making anything sound "lucrative" Magox...you guys are saying I'm marking these properties way up for no good reason...I feel completely different...the mark up will be good for the town and the people who buy the houses and the city's tax revenue...more revenue = more cops, bigger library, better afterschool programming, better infrastructure...town builds on a bigger budget...more attractive to live there...more attractive to live there, higher market value for homes...I see it as rebuilding, you see it as price gouging...once bang comes to bullets, we'll see who the people of my town side with...you want to overpay for a house for building a great city, if you can do it on your paycheck?...bottom line...I think they side with me...but you could be right, they might say no and move to a landlord owned property and pay the extra money to rent and not own...you can't always make the horse drink as they say... And you think I cannot secure funding...well the jury is still out of course, this is just a virtual vague "dream" plan...since I haven't secured the funds already, this is a pipedream no doubt...but I do have a very detailed poa to secure those funds...but I DEFINITELY cannot let THAT cat out of the bag...certain things still hang in the balance right now and posting what my detailed plan is could be detrimental to the plan itself at this moment in time...now, it's highly unlikely that the people I can't involve yet will read a friggen TBD post...the risk to reward factor...risk being someone does dig deep enough to find out the plan and derails is....reward being I am justified on TBD and more importantly to Magox lol...yeah not the risk/reward ratio I'm lookin for heheheh...sorry If they buy insurance on a home, and burn it down after one month...okay, so they are screwing the insurance company...that, I didn't think about...but I am sure we will cover that before jumping in...I don't foresee my city's citizens being that money hungry...again this is not wall street we are talking about here... I'll just say this: It is a sad day when someone tries to do something good for a neighborhood that everyone has already dismissed, and people are so vehemently against it. It is a sad day that people would say things like "you are the evil banker" because I am using the same methods, but using the funds to rebuild the city and help the city's budget and help the individual citizens by repairing urban blight and taking a salary of less than the state's average salary...it's a sad day that people will try to manipulate the message of someone that actually gives a sh*t about the people, to make it seem as though they are taking advantage of the people...like the system has obviously already done over and over again... And, Magox...demonizing the Unions and working for the Banks is completely ridiculous...and a good example of ignorance is connecting "working class" to communism...you show your utterly unintelligence pertaining to politics and ideologies making a statement like that...I know you're not the only one that feels that way...but that's what makes it even more sad... I'll pull a you..."quick quick...what is the difference between Communism, Socialism, and what I'm trying to do??" c'mon hurry, go google it...maybe you'll learn something Chef: yeah, you're right you can have both success and money....but you can be successful without it...and if you are truly wise you understand that if you can be happy without enormeous amounts of wealth, but choose not to help others with it...you do not understand compassion or virtue...and without that deep understanding, you can only be so happy...idealistic? very...I study more philosophy/religion than I do finance and elaborate loans...because I want to make the world better...not enrich them...same with my children....I never told anyone money itself was evil...greed is....
  9. Yeah...that's ALLLLLLL they do...alll of them...every single one of them...lol... no, I just finished the statement...I didn't add in what I actually wanted to say to my virtual son Joe...which is the name of my middle boy....I am REALLY TEACHING THEM THIS CRAP....like people are more important than money...crazy compassionate crap like that.....OOOOOOOOOH....crazy
  10. hardy har har... It is actually more like this... Joe "Pop, you work really hard and you own 100 houses right?" Me "Do I work hard? Yeah...but I love my work...and I only own the houses until I can find families that need them" Joe "But we don't have a nice car...or a big house...so why do you do it?" Me "Don't you like this city? The people?" Joe "Yeah, but, I thought you were supposed to try to make money, I thought that was what makes you successful." Me "Well boy, it's not...some people like money a whole bunch...I'm just not one of them...success comes from being happy and proud of what you're doing, no matter what that is Joe...dont you see me smiling everyday when I'm working with my crew? Don't you see how happy our friends are when I put them into a home they can own? Or when I give them a job?" Joe "yeah, I get it...I just thought we were going to be rich" Me "You're missing the point Joe...if you chase money your whole life, you won't find something you really have a passion to do, and then you will study your whole life with no actual action you plan to take...you love money so much that you will formulate hard to solve mathematic problems so you can steal money from the working man...you will be rich, but you'll be a true loser to" Joe "huh?" Me "Sorry that was meant for the readers on TBD....what I meant was...find what you love to do, and the money situation will work itself out...you don't have to be rich to be happy...but if you do become rich, try not to hold on too tight to the money because greed and corruption will destroy your soul...."
  11. I'm sorry you can't read Chef...I'll probably do something for the literacy of line cooks in my town to...k? trying to keep you in mind
  12. Okay, yeah you're right...I worded that wrong...they don't have to pay back NOTHING to me if they lose the property...they don't get what they paid in, but we TAKE THE LOSS TOGETHER...unlike the banks that WANT THE MONEY THEY PUT IN BACK... However, thier insurance THEY MAKE YOU PAY FOR covers the AMOUNT OF THE HOUSE not the MORTGAGE....or whichever is more expensive at the time....better?
  13. And again...read the stats...not the article...the ratio of worker to CEO was all I was pointing out...now how much Wall Street paid out total... Anyway, I thought you were bashing my Bible quotes...which was before your last post...but you probably hadn't seen it yet...
  14. Not for damages dude....wow...see this is what I'm talking about...go back through ALLLLLL the posts and quote me saying "if the house burns down I will pay them everything they paid in"....that's a complete fallacy...you are making things up now just to make me look bad...and you don't have to do that...most of these people disagree with me and are on your side already dude...so why reach like that? No, I said if they have to move out for financial reasons...they get what they paid in....if they are the owners...which they are....it is thier responsibility, not mine, to insure the property...however, I will not have them owe me the house price like the banks would do...which is why they mandate you have insurance because they don't want to lose thier money they put in...me?...not so much...I will take the loss just like they will...I'm not going to have them pay for a home they can't live in...even if I take the loss, no big deal....the bigger deal is finding a new home for that family to get into and then doing what we have to to fix or rebuild on the property...
  15. I'm sorry I'm not like you and Magox using the WSJ as the Bible....and you call others sheeple....gimme a break
  16. Dude...they do not create anything....they do not create anything....they do not create anything....a mortgage is not a house....a merger is not a business...a derivative is nothing more than insurance....insurance is not a product....insurance is to protect life and product....derivatives are insurance to protect a nonproduct imaginary product based on the loss of a business that you are investing in...defeats the purpose, in most cases, of investing in a business to begin with....an honest system of investment can be good for the economy...but when becoming more lucrative than actually running a productive business you get this crap you're seeing all over our country....not a good situation...and if you try to spin our situation as good...I really do believe you are riding Goldman's Sach
  17. Leviticus 19 verse 33: And if a stranger dwells in your land, you shall not mistreat him. Leviticus 19 verse 34: The stranger who dwells among you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love his as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God. Leviticus 24 verse 22: You shall have the same law for the stranger and for one from your own country; for I am the Lord your God. I'm just sayin...I'm just sayin...God's law or US law?....I'm just sayin...God's law pertaining to the Bible...I'm just sayin...I can come back with Athens law to if you'd like on immigrants...lol...not as pretty...but you can see some conceptual things going on...they were the most open to immigrants...and most powerful...I'm just sayin...t
  18. Do I really need to address that? I mean c'mon....I just said if they want insurance they can get it...if they don't, they lose it and I'll find em another place...I'll keep the lot or whatever, depending on how bad the fire was assess the loss...move on...it is not common enough to worry about it...if it happens...which I'll probably only deal with it once...I will move the person...debate whether we fix or rebuild on the lot...it's not a big deal...fires are rare enough where I shouldn'[t spend 5,000,000 on insurance over the twenty years to save me from one fire...if the clients wants protection....go for it...not my responsibility...
  19. The top aren't greedy? okay...they are so benevolent that they use the money to just pour right back into the economy right? okay.... 15 million is a drop in the pan for James Gorman...that's what he earned...I know compared to what the bank "earned" that's nothing...but when you got guys that build the houses thier selling....never making that amount building houses thier entire lives....that's a problem....why? because again...selling homes and building homes...what do we value more?...that's why...when giving money to expand a business becomes more lucrative than running the business itself...the system is corrupted.... David Tepper hedge fund bun boy...4 billion...building thier own personal profits and not actually building anything in the process is a system that has become molested... Like I said, compared to what these corporate companies make in profits...I understand what you are getting at...I do...but it doesn't change the fact that the highest paid industries are ones that do not create or build anything...that is a problem...they live in a paper world, and that's why it continues to fall down...over and over again...and it will again...as much as you say I don't know crap...I know that these guys are falling on thier faces looking for bigger handouts than any immigrant I've ever met... But the puppets will continue to point the finger at the ten grand for education of the illegal instead of the 10 billion....10 trillion that our government pours into the top money machine that has them on a leash...and you'll compound the problem by thinking you're one of those top 1 percent guys....meanwhile you're actually struggling to make into the top ten...but maybe if you say the right thing...do the right dance...they will let you in...and then you can watch for us scumbags fight for the crumbs....
  20. It's not the article I was posting for....you know me Tom...I like colors and pictures...it was the graph I was posting for...the ratio between people that do the work, and the people who get rich off of the workers work....from 40 to 300 roughly...good job...way to suck the money out immigrants............wait those weren't immigrants at the top were they?
  21. You have to expand to your market...they don't control the market Chef...I hope you don't honestly believe that the ones at the top control the market... Look...the major players in our free market are the bottom 90 percent...or those that make less than 200,000 a year...not because they have more to spend, but just because there are so many more of them....but since the financial crisis and even before that, it's been coming for ages now...Ron Paul predicted this years ago...but anyway back to the point...the credit crisis...whether mortgages or debt of anykind...people overextended thanks to the wonderful guidance of thier financial institutions and brokers...maxed out to the limit all of thier money poured into paying debt or default penalties there was no money left to actually purchase goods...companies stopped sustaining themselves...houses being built couldn't be sold because nobody could buy anymore...they tried to control the market or "play" the market and found out that you cannot over expand the market, even when you try to create a new market out of thin air...just blows up in your face...it resonated throughout the market because people couldn't buy crap...they couldn't get new homes...industry went crazy...couldn't buy new cars...done...couldn't buy any damn thing...so they can inject as much of thier trillion dollar salaries into the market if they want to, until they pay back the finance charges to those that actually sustain our market WE THE PEOPLE...the economy isn't going to come back...sure they'll put people to work for a while, but when they are making products people still can't afford to buy...the same crap is going to happen... The only string the pull at the top are on puppets like you Chef...cut the string, read a book, and get back to me
  22. http://www.aflcio.org/corporatewatch/paywatch/pay/ who is really the shot callers?...please...the top suck the money out of the system and whine becuase the rest of us have nothing to spend...gimme a break
  23. I do agree the Unions overreached...but they are not the "real" cause for loss of jobs...had they been more worried about the bottom line...well not worried, but at least not oblivious to it, things would have worked out better yes...but the real reason the job loss is so bad is becuase on the transnational companies and the lack of real strong unions abroad...globalizing is destroying the unions...but its also destroying the American economy because our products now are being built over seas and are trash because companies are continuing to sacrifice quality for quantity... And it's not all the companies faults...dont get me wrong...the people continuing to pay for these garbage products because they can save five bucks is the bigger reason...I understand that unions are a part of why the economy is hurting, but the shot callers always have to be the ones ultimately held accountable and the unions may be strong but you and I both know they are not the shot callers...they just give shot callers headaches... Goldman Sachs is evil and those that think they are the savior of the American economy need to evaluate the economy before and after the banking industry took this nation over...I especially love when people say that the ups and downs got better after the banking industry took over...there were depressions before they were in control...but they were nowhere near as intense...because the companies like Goldman Sachs try to "play" the market in thier own favor...they want profits...that's another HUGE factor in why companies ship jobs overseas...if thier profit margin is more "attractive" they get more money from the evil banks
  24. Yeah, I know your you're you are...but you missed the point of the statement...those that are more interested in details than concepts are guys that are.....in your industry I would guess bean counters?...exactly...and you sit in your cubicle and talk to your buddies about "how that reject actually runs the company" the guy who has to hire a personal asst. to fix words and that golfs everyday, and really doesn't do any work...ya know...the SUPER banker hehehehe...and THAT guy, "doesn't get it" meanwhile you're working for him...so who really doesn't get it ... like in my plan, you are quick to point out..."it's not going to cost 10,000" more like 20,000...having not even seen the houses for one, for two like that is a huge difference anyway...so if everything costs double, I'll buy half...you're not attacking the concept at all...it doesn't matter your digs heheehehh you like that? heehehe or that you like?
